Psalm 119

1 Glücklich sind, die im Weg untadelig sind, die im Gesetz des HERRN wandeln. (Ps 128,1; Lk 1,6) 

2 Glücklich sind, die seine Zeugnisse bewahren, die ihn von ganzem Herzen suchen. (5Mo 4,29; 5Mo 6,17; 1Kön 2,3; 2Chr 31,21; Ps 119,17; Lk 11,28) 

3 Die auch kein Unrecht tun, die auf seinen Wegen wandeln! (Jer 7,23; Hes 18,17) 

4 Du hast deine Vorschriften geboten, dass man sie eifrig beobachte. (5Mo 6,3; Mt 5,19) 

5 Oh, dass doch meine Wege beständig wären, deine Ordnungen zu halten! 

6 Dann werde ich nicht beschämt werden, wenn ich beachte alle deine Gebote. (Ps 119,31) 

7 Ich will dich preisen mit aufrichtigem Herzen, wenn ich gelernt habe die Bestimmungen deiner Gerechtigkeit. (Ps 119,171) 

8 Deine Ordnungen will ich halten. Verlass mich nicht ganz und gar! (Ps 119,145) 

9 Wodurch hält ein Jüngling seinen Pfad rein? Indem er sich bewahrt nach deinem Wort. (Ps 17,4; Spr 1,4) 

10 Mit meinem ganzen Herzen habe ich dich gesucht. Lass mich nicht abirren von deinen Geboten! (2Chr 15,15) 

11 In meinem Herzen habe ich dein Wort verwahrt, damit ich nicht gegen dich sündige. (Lk 8,15; Kol 3,16) 

12 Gepriesen seist du, HERR! Lehre mich deine Ordnungen! (Ps 119,26) 

13 Mit meinen Lippen habe ich erzählt alle Bestimmungen deines Mundes. (5Mo 6,6) 

14 An dem Weg deiner Zeugnisse habe ich Freude, mehr als an allem Reichtum. (Ps 119,72; Ps 119,111) 

15 Deine Vorschriften will ich bedenken und beachten deine Pfade. (Ps 1,2; Ps 119,23) 

16 An deinen Satzungen habe ich meine Lust. Dein Wort vergesse ich nicht. (Ps 119,24; Ps 119,61; Jer 15,16; Röm 7,22) 

17 Tue Gutes an deinem Knecht, so werde ich leben. Ich will dein Wort halten! (Ps 119,2; Ps 119,77) 

18 Öffne meine Augen, damit ich schaue die Wunder aus deinem Gesetz. (Eph 1,18) 

19 Ein Gast bin ich im Land. Verbirg nicht vor mir deine Gebote! (Ps 39,13) 

20 Meine Seele zermürbt sich vor Verlangen nach deinen Bestimmungen zu aller Zeit. (Ps 119,40) 

21 Gescholten hast du die Übermütigen, die Verfluchten, die abirren von deinen Geboten. (5Mo 27,26; Ps 119,118) 

22 Wälze von mir Hohn und Verachtung! Denn deine Zeugnisse habe ich bewahrt. (Ps 119,39) 

23 Sitzen auch Oberste und verhandeln gegen mich, dein Knecht sinnt nach über deine Ordnungen. (Ps 119,15; Ps 119,161) 

24 Deine Zeugnisse sind auch meine Lust, meine Ratgeber ⟨sind sie⟩. (Ps 119,16) 

25 Am Staub klebt meine Seele. Belebe mich nach deinem Wort! (Ps 44,26; Ps 119,93; Ps 143,11) 

26 Meine Wege habe ich erzählt, und du hast mich erhört. Lehre mich deine Ordnungen! (2Kön 20,3; Ps 119,12) 

27 Lass mich verstehen den Weg deiner Vorschriften. Sinnen will ich über deine Wunder. (Ps 77,13) 

28 Meine Seele zerfließt vor Kummer. Richte mich auf nach deinem Wort! (Mt 5,4) 

29 Halte fern von mir den Weg der Lüge, und gewähre mir dein Gesetz! (Spr 30,8) 

30 Den Weg der Treue habe ich erwählt, ich habe vor mich gestellt deine Bestimmungen. (5Mo 6,6; Ps 18,23) 

31 Ich halte an deinen Zeugnissen fest. HERR, lass mich nicht beschämt werden! (Ps 119,6) 

32 Den Weg deiner Gebote werde ich laufen, denn du machst mir das Herz weit. (1Mo 26,22; Ps 119,45) 

33 Lehre mich, HERR, den Weg deiner Ordnungen, und ich will ihn bewahren bis ans Ende. (Ps 39,2; Ps 119,2; Ps 119,12; Jes 54,13) 

34 Gib mir Einsicht, und ich will dein Gesetz bewahren und es halten von ganzem Herzen. (Ps 39,2; Ps 119,2; Ps 119,66; Spr 2,6) 

35 Leite mich auf dem Pfad deiner Gebote! Denn ich habe Gefallen daran. (Ps 1,2) 

36 Neige mein Herz zu deinen Zeugnissen und nicht zum Gewinn! (Ps 141,4) 

37 Wende meine Augen ⟨davon⟩ ab, das Eitle zu betrachten. Belebe mich auf deinen Wegen! 

38 Halte deinem Knecht deine Zusage aufrecht, die deiner Furcht entspricht! (Ps 119,50) 

39 Wende ab meine Schande, die ich fürchte! Denn deine Bestimmungen sind gut. (Ps 119,22) 

40 Siehe, ich sehne mich nach deinen Vorschriften! Belebe mich durch deine Gerechtigkeit! (Ps 119,20) 

41 Lass über mich kommen deine Gnaden, HERR, dein Heil nach deiner Zusage, (Ps 119,50; Ps 119,81) 

42 damit ich meinem Lästerer ein Wort antworten kann. Denn ich vertraue auf dein Wort. 

43 Entziehe meinem Mund das Wort der Wahrheit nicht allzu sehr! Denn ich hoffe auf deine Bestimmungen. (Ps 119,74; Jes 59,21) 

44 Halten will ich dein Gesetz beständig, immer und ewig. (Ps 119,55) 

45 Und ich werde wandeln in weitem Raum, denn nach deinen Vorschriften habe ich geforscht. (Ps 119,32; Ps 119,94) 

46 Vor Königen will ich reden von deinen Zeugnissen und mich nicht schämen. (Mt 10,18; Röm 1,16) 

47 Ich habe meine Lust an deinen Geboten, die ich liebe, (Ps 119,16; Ps 119,97) 

48 und werde meine Hände aufheben zu deinen Geboten, die ich lieb habe. Und über deine Ordnungen will ich nachdenken. (Ps 119,15; Ps 119,97) 

49 Gedenke des Wortes an deinen Knecht, worauf du mich hast warten lassen! 

50 Dies ist mein Trost in meinem Elend, dass deine Zusage mich belebt hat. (Ps 119,38; Ps 119,92; Ps 138,7) 

51 Die Übermütigen haben mich über die Maßen verspottet, aber von deinem Gesetz bin ich nicht abgewichen. (Ps 119,157) 

52 Ich gedachte, HERR, deiner Bestimmungen von alters her, und ich tröstete mich. (Ps 77,12) 

53 Zornglut hat mich ergriffen wegen der Gottlosen, die dein Gesetz verlassen. (Neh 5,6; Mk 3,5) 

54 Lieder waren mir deine Ordnungen im Haus meiner Fremdlingschaft. 

55 In der Nacht habe ich deines Namens gedacht, HERR, und ich habe dein Gesetz gehalten. (Ps 119,44) 

56 Dies ist mir zuteilgeworden: Dass ich deine Vorschriften bewahre. 

57  Mein Teil ist der HERR! Ich habe versprochen, deine Worte zu bewahren. (Ps 119,2) 

58 Ich suchte dich zu besänftigen von ganzem Herzen. Sei mir gnädig nach deiner Zusage! (Ps 119,145) 

59 Ich habe meine Wege überdacht und meine Füße gekehrt zu deinen Zeugnissen. (Kla 3,40) 

60 Ich bin geeilt und habe nicht gezögert, deine Gebote zu halten. (1Mo 18,6) 

61 Stricke der Gottlosen haben mich umgeben. Dein Gesetz habe ich nicht vergessen. (Ps 119,16) 

62 Um Mitternacht stehe ich auf, um dich zu preisen wegen der Bestimmungen deiner Gerechtigkeit. (Ps 119,164; Apg 16,25) 

63 Ich bin der Gefährte aller, die dich fürchten, derer, die deine Vorschriften einhalten. (Ps 119,79) 

64 Von deiner Gnade, HERR, ist die Erde erfüllt. Lehre mich deine Ordnungen! (Ps 33,5; Ps 119,12) 

65 Du hast Gutes getan an deinem Knecht, HERR, nach deinem Wort! 

66 Gute Einsicht und Erkenntnis lehre mich! Denn ich habe deinen Geboten geglaubt. (Ps 119,34) 

67 Bevor ich gedemütigt wurde, irrte ich. Jetzt aber halte ich dein Wort. 

68 Du bist gut und tust Gutes. Lehre mich deine Ordnungen! (Ps 119,12) 

69 Lügen haben die Frechen gegen mich erdichtet. Ich bewahre deine Vorschriften von ganzem Herzen. (Ps 119,2) 

70 Ihr Herz ist unempfindlich geworden wie Fett. Ich habe meine Lust an deinem Gesetz. (Ps 119,16; Jes 6,10) 

71 Es war gut für mich, dass ich gedemütigt wurde, damit ich deine Ordnungen lernte. (Ps 94,12) 

72 Lieber ist mir das Gesetz deines Mundes als Tausende von Gold- und Silberstücken. (Ps 19,11; Ps 119,14; Spr 3,13) 

73 Deine Hände haben mich gemacht und bereitet. Gib mir Einsicht, ich will deine Gebote lernen. (Hi 10,8; Ps 95,6; Ps 119,34; Kol 1,9) 

74 Die dich fürchten, werden mich sehen und sich freuen, denn ich harre auf dein Wort. (Ps 119,43) 

75 Ich habe erkannt, HERR, dass deine Gerichte Gerechtigkeit sind und dass du mich in Treue gedemütigt hast. 

76 Lass doch deine Gnade mir zum Trost sein nach deiner Zusage an deinen Knecht! (Ps 119,38) 

77 Lass deine Erbarmungen über mich kommen, dass ich lebe. Denn dein Gesetz ist meine Lust. (Ps 119,16; Ps 119,17) 

78 Lass beschämt werden die Übermütigen, die mich lügnerisch bedrücken. Ich denke über deine Vorschriften nach. (Ps 119,15; Ps 119,86) 

79 Lass sich zu mir wenden, die dich fürchten und die deine Zeugnisse erkennen! (Ps 119,63) 

80 Lass mein Herz untadelig sein in deinen Ordnungen, damit ich nicht in Schande komme. (Ps 119,6) 

81 Meine Seele verzehrt sich nach deinem Heil. Ich warte auf dein Wort. (Ps 119,41; Ps 119,43; Ps 130,5) 

82 Meine Augen verzehren sich nach deiner Zusage: »Wann wirst du mich trösten?« 

83 Denn wie ein Schlauch im Rauch bin ich. Deine Ordnungen habe ich nicht vergessen. (Hi 30,30; Ps 119,16) 

84 Wie viele werden der Tage deines Knechts sein? Wann wirst du Gericht halten über meine Verfolger? (Ps 89,48; 2Thess 1,6) 

85 Die Übermütigen haben mir Gruben gegraben, sie, die nicht nach deinem Gesetz sind. (Ps 35,7) 

86 Alle deine Gebote sind Treue. Sie haben mich verfolgt ohne Grund. Hilf mir! (Ps 119,78) 

87 Wenig fehlte, so hätten sie mich vernichtet im Land. Ich aber, ich habe deine Vorschriften nicht verlassen. 

88 Belebe mich nach deiner Gnade, und ich werde bewahren das Zeugnis deines Mundes. (Ps 119,2; Ps 119,124) 

89 In Ewigkeit, HERR, steht dein Wort fest im Himmel. (Ps 111,7; Jes 40,8; Mt 5,18; 1Petr 1,25) 

90 Von Generation zu Generation ⟨währt⟩ deine Treue. Du hast die Erde gegründet, und sie steht. (Ps 100,5; Ps 104,5) 

91 Nach deinen Ordnungen bestehen sie bis heute, denn alles ist dir dienstbar. (Jes 40,26) 

92 Wäre nicht dein Gesetz meine Lust gewesen, dann wäre ich verloren gegangen in meinem Elend. (Ps 119,16; Ps 119,50) 

93 Ewig werde ich deine Vorschriften nicht vergessen, denn durch sie hast du mich belebt. (Ps 119,16; Ps 119,25) 

94 Ich bin dein, rette mich! Denn ich habe nach deinen Vorschriften gesucht. (Ps 3,8; Ps 119,45; Ps 119,146; Hl 6,3; Jer 17,14; Apg 27,23) 

95 Die Gottlosen haben mir aufgelauert, um mich umzubringen. Ich achte auf deine Zeugnisse. 

96 Von allen Vollkommenen habe ich ein Ende gesehen. Doch dein Gebot reicht sehr weit. 

97 Wie liebe ich dein Gesetz! Es ist mein Nachdenken den ganzen Tag. (Ps 119,15; Ps 119,47) 

98 Dein Gebot macht mich weiser als meine Feinde. Denn ewig ist es mein! (5Mo 4,6) 

99 Verständiger bin ich als alle meine Lehrer. Denn deine Zeugnisse sind mein Überlegen. (Ps 119,15) 

100 Einsichtiger als Greise bin ich. Denn deine Vorschriften habe ich gehalten. (Hi 32,9; Ps 119,34) 

101 Von jedem bösen Pfad habe ich meine Füße zurückgehalten, damit ich dein Wort bewahre. (Ps 119,2; Spr 1,15) 

102 Von deinen Bestimmungen gewichen bin ich nicht, denn du, du hast mich unterwiesen. (Hi 36,22; Tit 2,12) 

103 Wie süß ist meinem Gaumen dein Wort, mehr als Honig meinem Mund! (Ps 19,11; Hes 3,3) 

104 Aus deinen Vorschriften empfange ich Einsicht. Darum hasse ich jeden Lügenpfad! (Hi 32,9; Ps 119,34; Ps 119,128) 

105 Eine Leuchte für meinen Fuß ist dein Wort, ein Licht für meinen Pfad. (Spr 6,23; 2Petr 1,19) 

106 Ich habe geschworen und halte es aufrecht, die Bestimmungen deiner Gerechtigkeit zu bewahren. (Neh 10,30) 

107 Ich bin über die Maßen gebeugt. HERR, belebe mich nach deinem Wort! (Ps 119,25) 

108 Die Gaben meines Mundes lass dir doch wohlgefallen, HERR! Lehre mich deine Bestimmungen! (Ps 19,15; Ps 27,6; Ps 119,12; Hebr 13,15) 

109 Mein Leben ist ständig in meiner Hand, aber dein Gesetz habe ich nicht vergessen. (Ps 119,16) 

110 Die Gottlosen haben mir eine Schlinge gelegt, aber von deinen Vorschriften bin ich nicht abgeirrt. (Ps 38,13; Ps 57,7) 

111 Deine Zeugnisse sind mein Erbe für ewig, denn die Freude meines Herzens sind sie. (5Mo 33,4; Ps 19,9; Ps 119,14) 

112 Ich habe mein Herz geneigt, deine Ordnungen zu tun. Für ewig ist der Lohn! (Ps 119,44; Spr 2,2) 

113 Die Gemeinen hasse ich, aber ich liebe dein Gesetz. (Ps 119,47) 

114 Mein Schutz und mein Schild bist du. Auf dein Wort hoffe ich. (Ps 3,4; Ps 32,7; Ps 119,43)

117 Stütze mich, dass ich gerettet werde. Und ich will beständig auf deine Ordnungen schauen. 

118 Abgewiesen hast du alle, die von deinen Ordnungen abirren. Denn Lüge ist ihr Sinnen. (Ps 119,21; Spr 12,20) 

119 ⟨Wie⟩ Schlacken hast du weggeräumt alle Gottlosen des Landes, darum liebe ich deine Zeugnisse. (Ps 119,47; Hes 22,18) 

120 Vor deinem Schrecken schaudert mein Fleisch, ich fürchte mich vor deinen Urteilen. (Ps 88,16; Hab 3,16) 

121 Ich habe Recht und Gerechtigkeit geübt. Überlass mich nicht meinen Unterdrückern! 

122 Sei Bürge für deinen Knecht zum Guten! Lass die Übermütigen mich nicht unterdrücken! 

123 Meine Augen sehnen sich nach deinem Heil und nach der Zusage deiner Gerechtigkeit. (Ps 119,41) 

124 Handle mit deinem Knecht nach deiner Gnade und lehre mich deine Ordnungen! (Ps 31,20; Ps 119,12; Ps 119,88) 

125 Dein Knecht bin ich; gib mir Einsicht, so werde ich deine Zeugnisse erkennen. (Ps 116,16; Ps 119,34) 

126 Es ist Zeit für den HERRN, zu handeln. Sie haben dein Gesetz gebrochen. (1Kön 19,10; Ps 102,14) 

127 Darum liebe ich deine Gebote mehr als Gold und Feingold. (Ps 119,14; Ps 119,47)

129 Wunderbar sind deine Zeugnisse, darum bewahrt sie meine Seele. 

130 Die Eröffnung deiner Worte leuchtet, sie gibt Einsicht den Einfältigen. (Ps 19,8; Ps 119,34) 

131 Ich habe meinen Mund weit aufgetan und gelechzt, denn ich sehne mich nach deinen Geboten. (1Petr 2,2) 

132 Wende dich zu mir und sei mir gnädig nach dem Anrecht derer, die deinen Namen lieben! (Ps 5,12; Ps 25,16) 

133 Befestige meine Schritte durch dein Wort, und gib keinem Unrecht Macht über mich! (Ps 40,3) 

134 Erlöse mich von der Bedrückung durch Menschen, und ich will deine Vorschriften einhalten. 

135 Lass dein Angesicht leuchten über deinen Knecht, und lehre mich deine Ordnungen! (Ps 119,12) 

136 Wasserbäche fließen herab aus meinen Augen, weil man dein Gesetz nicht hält. (Phil 3,18) 

137 Gerecht bist du, HERR, und richtig sind deine Urteile. (Esr 9,15; Offb 19,2) 

138 Du hast in Gerechtigkeit deine Zeugnisse geboten und in großer Treue. (5Mo 4,8) 

139 Verzehrt hat mich mein Eifer, denn meine Bedränger haben deine Worte vergessen. (1Kön 19,10; Ps 69,10) 

140 Wohlgeläutert ist dein Wort, dein Knecht hat es lieb. (Ps 12,7; Ps 119,47; Spr 30,5) 

141 Gering bin ich und verachtet. Deine Vorschriften habe ich nicht vergessen. (Ps 119,16) 

142 Deine Gerechtigkeit ist eine ewige Gerechtigkeit, und dein Gesetz ist Wahrheit. 

143 Angst und Bedrängnis haben mich erreicht. Deine Gebote sind meine Lust. (Ps 119,16) 

144 Gerechtigkeit sind deine Zeugnisse für ewig. Gib mir Einsicht, damit ich lebe! (Ps 119,17; Ps 119,34; Ps 119,151; Spr 4,4) 

145 Von ganzem Herzen habe ich gerufen: Erhöre mich, HERR! Ich will deine Ordnungen halten. (Ps 119,8; Ps 119,58)

147 Der Morgendämmerung bin ich zuvorgekommen und habe um Hilfe gerufen. Auf deine Worte habe ich gehofft. (Ps 88,2; Ps 119,43) 

148 Meine Augen sind den Nachtwachen zuvorgekommen, um nachzudenken über dein Wort. (Ps 119,15) 

149 Höre meine Stimme nach deiner Gnade! HERR, belebe mich nach deinen Bestimmungen! (Ps 119,25; Ps 119,88) 

150 Nahe sind gekommen, die mich arglistig verfolgen. Fern sind sie von deinem Gesetz. (Jes 59,11; Mt 26,46) 

151 Du bist nahe, HERR, und alle deine Gebote sind Wahrheit. (Ps 119,142) 

152 Längst habe ich aus deinen Zeugnissen erkannt, dass du sie gegründet hast auf ewig. 

153 Sieh mein Elend an und rette mich! Denn dein Gesetz habe ich nicht vergessen. (Ps 119,16) 

154 Führe meinen Rechtsstreit und erlöse mich! Belebe mich nach deiner Zusage! (Ps 35,23; Ps 119,38; Mi 7,9) 

155 Fern von den Gottlosen ist Rettung, denn nach deinen Ordnungen suchen sie nicht. (Jes 59,11) 

156 Deiner Erbarmungen sind viele, HERR. Belebe mich nach deinen Bestimmungen! (1Chr 21,13; Ps 119,25) 

157 Zahlreich sind meine Verfolger und meine Bedränger. Doch von deinen Zeugnissen bin ich nicht abgewichen. (Ps 119,51) 

158 Die Treulosen habe ich gesehen, und es ekelte mich an, weil sie dein Wort nicht bewahrten. (Ps 139,21) 

159 Sieh, dass ich deine Vorschriften lieb habe. Nach deiner Gnade, HERR, belebe mich! (Ps 119,47) 

160 Die Summe deines Wortes ist Wahrheit, und jedes Urteil deiner Gerechtigkeit ⟨währt⟩ ewig. (Ps 119,142; Joh 17,17) 

161 Oberste haben mich verfolgt ohne Ursache. Aber vor deinem Wort hat mein Herz gebebt. (Ps 119,23; Jes 66,2) 

162 Ich freue mich über dein Wort wie einer, der große Beute macht. (Ps 119,14) 

163 Lüge hasse und verabscheue ich. Dein Gesetz liebe ich. (Ps 119,47; Ps 119,104) 

164 Siebenmal am Tag lobe ich dich wegen der Bestimmungen deiner Gerechtigkeit. (Ps 119,62) 

165 Großen Frieden haben die, die dein Gesetz lieben. Sie trifft kein Straucheln. 

166 Ich habe auf dein Heil gewartet, HERR, und deine Gebote habe ich erfüllt. (1Mo 49,18; Kla 3,26) 

167 Meine Seele hat deine Zeugnisse befolgt, und ich liebe sie sehr. (Ps 119,47) 

168 Deine Vorschriften und deine Zeugnisse habe ich befolgt, denn alle meine Wege sind vor dir. (Ps 139,3; Spr 5,21) 

169 Lass mein Schreien nahe vor dich kommen, HERR! Gib mir Einsicht nach deinem Wort! (Ps 119,34) 

170 Lass vor dich kommen mein Flehen! Rette mich nach deiner Zusage! (Ps 119,94; Jer 37,20; Jer 42,2) 

171 Meine Lippen sollen Lob hervorströmen lassen, denn du lehrst mich deine Ordnungen. (Ps 119,7) 

172 Meine Zunge soll dein Wort besingen. Denn alle deine Gebote sind Gerechtigkeit. (Ps 119,128; Röm 7,12) 

173 Lass deine Hand mir zur Hilfe kommen! Denn ich habe deine Vorschriften erwählt. 

174 Ich sehne mich nach deiner Rettung, HERR! Dein Gesetz ist meine Lust. (Ps 119,16; Ps 119,41) 

175 Meine Seele soll leben und dich loben! Deine Bestimmungen sollen mir helfen! (Ps 119,17; Jes 38,19) 

176 Ich bin umhergeirrt wie ein verloren gegangenes Schaf. Suche deinen Knecht! Denn ich habe deine Gebote nicht vergessen. (Ps 119,16; Jes 53,6; Hes 34,6; 1Petr 2,25)

1 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. 

2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart – 

3 they do no wrong but follow his ways. 

4 You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed. 

5 Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! 

6 Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands. 

7 I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. 

8 I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me. 

9 How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. 

10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. 

11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

13 With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth.

63 I am a friend to all who fear you, to all who follow your precepts.

1 Blessed are those who live without blame. They live in keeping with the law of the LORD. 

2 Blessed are those who obey his covenant laws. They trust in him with all their hearts. 

3 They don’t do anything wrong. They live as he wants them to live. 

4 You have given me rules that I must obey completely. 

5 I hope I will always stand firm in following your orders. 

6 Then I won’t be put to shame when I think about all your commands. 

7 I will praise you with an honest heart as I learn about how fair your decisions are. 

8 I will obey your orders. Please don’t leave me all alone. 

9 How can a young person keep their life pure? By living according to your word. 

10 I trust in you with all my heart. Don’t let me wander away from your commands. 

11 I have hidden your word in my heart so that I won’t sin against you. 

12 LORD, I give praise to you. Teach me your orders. 

13 With my lips I talk about all the decisions you have made. 

14 Following your covenant laws gives me joy just as great riches give joy to others.

1 ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. 

2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. 

3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. 

4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. 

5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! 

6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. 

7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. 

8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. 

9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 

10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments. 

67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. 

68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes. 

69 The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart. 

70 Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law. 

71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. 

72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. 

73 JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments. 

74 They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word. 

75 I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me. 

76 Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant. 

77 Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight. 

78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts. 

79 Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies. 

80 Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed. 

81 CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word. 

82 Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me? 

83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes. 

84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me? 

85 The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law. 

86 All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me. 

87 They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts. 

88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth. 

89 LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. 

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. 

91 They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants. 

92 Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction. 

93 I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me. 

94 I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts. 

95 The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider thy testimonies. 

96 I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad. 

97 MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. 

98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. 

99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. 

100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts. 

101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word. 

102 I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me. 

103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 

104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. 

105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. 

106 I have sworn, and I will perform it , that I will keep thy righteous judgments. 

107 I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word. 

108 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments. 

109 My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law. 

110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts. 

111 Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart. 

112 I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end. 

113 SAMECH. I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love. 

114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. 

115 Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God. 

116 Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope. 

117 Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually. 

118 Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood. 

119 Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies. 

120 My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments. 

121 AIN. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors. 

122 Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me. 

123 Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness. 

124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes. 

125 I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies. 

126 It is time for thee , LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law. 

127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold. 

128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way. 

129 PE. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them. 

130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. 

131 I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments. 

132 Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name. 

133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. 

134 Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts. 

135 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes. 

136 Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law. 

137 TZADDI. Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments. 

138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful. 

139 My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words. 

140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. 

141 I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts. 

142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. 

143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights. 

144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live. 

145 KOPH. I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes. 

146 I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies. 

147 I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word. 

148 Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word. 

149 Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment. 

150 They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law. 

151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth. 

152 Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever. 

153 RESH. Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law. 

154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word. 

155 Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes. 

156 Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments. 

157 Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies. 

158 I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word. 

159 Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness. 

160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. 

161 SCHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word. 

162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil. 

163 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love. 

164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.
