Izrael se vrátí

1 „V ten čas, praví Hospodin, budu Bohem všech rodů Izraele a oni budou mým lidem. 2 Tak praví Hospodin: „Lid, který unikne meči, nalezne milost na poušti; přicházím Izraeli dát odpočinutí.“ 3 Odedávna se mi ukazoval Hospodin: „Miluji tě láskou, jež trvá navěky, vztahuji se k tobě v milosrdenství. 4 Znovu tě zbuduji a budeš stát, panno izraelská. Znovu se chopíš tamburíny a vesele se roztančíš. 5 Znovu vysadíš vinice na horách v Samaří a ti, kdo je vysadí, je také sklidí. 6 Přijde den, kdy zvolají strážci v pohoří Efraim: ‚Vzhůru, vydejme se k Sionu, k Hospodinu, našemu Bohu!‘“ 7 Tak praví Hospodin: „Zpívejte radostí nad Jákobem, jásejte nad předním mezi národy, hlasitě oslavujte a říkejte: ‚Hospodin zachránil svůj lid, zachránil pozůstatek Izraele!‘ 8 Hle, přivedu je ze země severní, od konců světa je shromáždím. Mezi nimi i slepce a mrzáky, těhotné ženy a rodičky – vrátí se jich sem celé zástupy! 9 Budou přicházet s pláčem, půjdou v modlitbách, až je povedu. K potokům s vodou je přivedu přímou cestou, na níž neklesnou. Jsem přece Izraelův otec, můj prvorozený je Efraim!^[1] 10 Slyšte slovo Hospodinovo, národy, zvěstujte v krajích daleko za moři: ‚Ten, který rozehnal Izrael, jej zase shromáždí, nad svým stádem bude jako pastýř bdít.‘ 11 Ano, Hospodin Jákoba vykoupí, vysvobodí ho z rukou silnějších! 12 S jásotem přijdou na vrchol Sionu, rozzáří se Hospodinovou dobrotou – všude obilí, víno, olej, mladý brav a skot! Jejich duše budou zavlažovanou zahradou a chřadnout už nikdy nebudou. 13 Panna se tehdy vesele roztančí a mládenci i starci spolu s ní. Jejich truchlení v radost proměním, utěším je a rozveselím namísto trápení. 14 Duši kněží občerstvím hojností a můj lid se nasytí mými dary, praví Hospodin.“ 15 Tak praví Hospodin: „V Rámě je slyšet křik – nářek, pláč a hořké bědování. Ráchel tam pláče nad svými dětmi, nad jejich ztrátou se nedá utěšit!“ 16 Tak praví Hospodin: „Neplač už, zadrž slzy, neboť tvá námaha dojde odměny, praví Hospodin: oni se ti z nepřátelské země vrátí! 17 Je tu naděje pro tvé potomky, praví Hospodin: tvé děti se vrátí do vlasti! 18 Jasně jsem slyšel Efraimův nářek: ‚Byl jsem nepovolný jako mladý býk, krotil jsi mě a už jsem zkrocený. Obrať mě, ať se vrátím zpět, vždyť ty jsi můj Bůh, Hospodine! 19 Po svém odvrácení činím pokání, po svém poučení se biji do hrudi. Stydím se a jsem zahanben, že nesu potupu svých mladých let.‘ 20 Není snad Efraim můj drahý syn? Není mé dítě, které miluji? Kdykoli o něm promluvím, vždy si ho znovu vybavím a v nitru cítím pohnutí. Slituji se nad ním, jistěže se slituji! praví Hospodin. 21 Postav si milníky, vyznač ukazatele, přemýšlej o cestě, kterou jdeš. Vrať se, izraelská panno, vrať se zpátky do svých měst! 22 Jak dlouho se ještě budeš toulat, dcero nevěrná? Hospodin stvoří na zemi novou věc: žena se bude ucházet o muže.“ 23 Tak praví Hospodin zástupů, Bůh Izraele: „Až je přivedu zpět ze zajetí, bude se v judské zemi a v jejích městech znovu říkat: ‚Požehnej ti Hospodin, příbytku spravedlnosti, horo svatosti!‘ 24 Znovu tam bude žít všechen lid Judy – měšťané, rolníci i kočovníci se stády. 25 Ano, občerstvím duši znavených a duši chřadnoucích nasytím.“ 26 Nato jsem se probudil a prohlédl. Můj spánek byl sladký.

Nová smlouva

27 „Hle, přicházejí dny, praví Hospodin, kdy dům Izraele i dům Judy oseji lidmi i zvířaty. 28 Jako jsem nad nimi bděl, abych vyvracel a podvracel, bořil, ničil a pustošil, právě tak nad nimi budu bdít, abych budoval a sázel, praví Hospodin.^[2] 29 V těch dnech už nebudou říkat: ‚Rodiče jedli trpké hrozny a dětem trnou zuby.‘^[3] 30 Každý totiž zemře za vlastní viny; každému, kdo jí trpké hrozny, budou trnout zuby. 31 Hle, přicházejí dny, praví Hospodin, kdy s domem Izraele a s domem Judy uzavřu novou smlouvu. 32 Ne ovšem takovou smlouvu, jakou jsem uzavřel s jejich otci v den, kdy jsem je vzal za ruku a vyvedl je z Egypta – tuto mou smlouvu totiž porušili, ačkoli jsem byl jejich manželem, praví Hospodin. 33 Nuže, toto je smlouva, kterou po těch dnech uzavřu s domem Izraele, praví Hospodin: Svůj zákon vložím do jejich nitra a napíšu jim ho na srdce. Budu jejich Bohem a oni budou mým lidem. 34 Už se nebudou navzájem poučovat a jedni druhé nabádat: ‚Poznejte Hospodina!‘ Všichni mě totiž budou znát, od nejmenších až po největší z nich, praví Hospodin. Odpustím jim jejich viny a už nikdy nevzpomenu na jejich hřích.“ 35 Tak praví Hospodin, jenž nechává slunce ozařovat den a měsíc s hvězdami za světlo noci určuje, jenž vzdouvá moře, až jeho vlny řvou, a jehož jméno je Hospodin zástupů: 36 „Přestanou-li u mne platit tyto zákony, praví Hospodin, pak také símě Izraele přestane být u mne navždy národem.“ 37 Tak praví Hospodin: „Bude-li změřeno nebe nahoře a prozkoumány základy země v hlubině, pak také zavrhnu všechno símě Izraele za všechno, co provedli, praví Hospodin.“ 38 „Hle, přicházejí dny, praví Hospodin, kdy bude toto město znovu vystavěno pro Hospodina, od věže Chananel až k Nárožní bráně.^[4] 39 Měřicí šňůra se odtud natáhne až k vrchu Garev a pak se stočí do Goje. 40 Celé to údolí mrtvol a mastného popela,^[5] všechna ta pohřebiště až k potoku Kidron, až k rohu Koňské brány na východě, to vše bude zasvěceno Hospodinu a město už nikdy nebude vyvráceno ani zbořeno.“

The Lord Will Turn Mourning to Joy

1 “At that time, declares the Lord, I will be the God of all the clans of Israel, and they shall be my people.” (Jr 30,22; Jr 30,24; 2K 6,18) 2 Thus says the Lord: “The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness; when Israel sought for rest, (Ž 95,11; Iz 63,14; Jr 30,10) 3 the Lord appeared to him^[1] from far away. The New Covenant

31 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, (L 22,20; 2K 3,6; Žd 8,8) 32 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord.
