Der neue Bund
31„Passt auf! Die Zeit wird kommen“, spricht Jahwe, „da schließe ich einen neuen Bund mit Israel und Juda.32Er ist nicht mit dem zu vergleichen, den ich damals mit ihren Vätern schloss, als ich sie bei der Hand nahm und aus Ägypten herausführte. Diesen Bund haben sie gebrochen, obwohl ich doch ihr Herr war“, spricht Jahwe.33„Der neue Bund, den ich dann mit dem Volk Israel schließen werde, wird ganz anders sein“, spricht Jahwe. „Ich schreibe mein Gesetz in ihr Herz, ich lege es tief in sie hinein. So werde ich ihr Gott sein und sie mein Volk.34Dann muss keiner mehr den anderen belehren, niemand muss seinem Bruder mehr sagen: 'Erkenne doch Jahwe!' Denn alle werden mich erkennen, vom Geringsten bis zum Größten“, spricht Jahwe. „Denn ich werde ihre Schuld vergeben und an ihre Sünde nie mehr denken.“[5] (Heb 8:8; Heb 10:16)35So spricht Jahwe, der die Sonne zum Licht für den Tag bestimmte und die Gesetze von Mond und Sternen zum Licht für die Nacht, der das Meer aufwühlt, dass seine Wogen dröhnen. Er heißt Jahwe, der Allmächtige.36„Wenn diese Gesetze ihre Gültigkeit verlieren sollten“, spricht Jahwe, „dann wird auch die Nachkommenschaft Israels nicht mehr mein Volk sein.“37So spricht Jahwe: „Wenn man den Himmel ausmessen könnte und die Fundamente der Erde ergründen, dann könnte ich auch die Nachkommenschaft Israels verstoßen – wegen allem, was sie getan haben“, spricht Jahwe.
Jerusalem wird wieder gebaut
38„Passt auf! Es kommt die Zeit“, spricht Jahwe, „da wird diese Stadt für Jahwe wieder aufgebaut, vom Hananel-Turm bis zum Ecktor.[6]39Und die Messschnur führt geradeaus weiter über den Gareb-Hügel und biegt dann nach Goa[7] ab.40Und das ganze Tal, in das man die Altarasche und das Aas hinausschafft, und alle Terrassen bis zum Kidronbach und zum Rosstor im Osten werden für Jahwe heilig sein. Nie mehr wird das alles niedergerissen, und nie wird es zerstört.“
