The Coming of the Holy Spirit

1 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. (Le 23:15; Ac 20:16; 1Co 16:8) 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. (1Ki 19:11; Job 38:1; Eze 1:4; Ac 4:31; Ac 16:26)

18 even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. 25 For David says concerning him, “‘I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken; (Ps 16:8) 26 therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope. The Fellowship of the Believers

Pentecostés

1 Cuando llegó el día de Pentecostés, estaban todos unánimes juntos. 2 Y de repente fue hecho en el cielo un estruendo, como de una ráfaga de viento impetuoso, el cual llenó toda la casa donde estaban sentados. 3 Y se les aparecieron lenguas como de fuego que se repartieron y se posaron sobre cada uno de ellos. 4 Y todos fueron llenos del Espíritu Santo, y comenzaron a hablar en diferentes lenguas, según el Espíritu les concedía hablar. 5 Y había en Jerusalem hombres judíos piadosos, provenientes de toda nación debajo del cielo. 6 Y cuando ocurrió este estruendo, la multitud se reunió, y estaban confusos, porque oían a cada uno hablando en su propia lengua. 7 Y atónitos y asombrados, decían: Mirad, ¿no son galileos todos estos que hablan? 8 ¿Cómo pues cada uno de nosotros los oímos en nuestra propia lengua en que nacimos: 9 Partos, medos, elamitas, y los que habitamos Mesopotamia, Judea y también Capadocia, Ponto y Asia, 10 Frigia y también Panfilia, Egipto y las regiones de Libia junto a Cirene, y los romanos, forasteros, 11 tanto judíos como prosélitos, cretenses y árabes, los oímos hablando en nuestras lenguas las maravillas de Dios? 12 Y estaban todos asombrados y perplejos, y se decían unos a otros: ¿Qué significa esto? 13 Otros, burlándose, decían: ¡Están llenos de licor!

Las llaves del Reino

14 Entonces Pedro, poniéndose en pie con los once, alzó su voz, y les declaró: ¡Varones judíos y todos los que habitáis en Jerusalem: esto os sea notorio, y escuchad mis palabras! 15 Porque éstos no están borrachos, como vosotros pensáis, pues es la hora tercera del día; 16 sino que esto es lo dicho por medio del profeta Joel: 17 Y acontecerá en los postreros días, dice Dios, Que derramaré de mi Espíritu sobre toda carne, Y vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas profetizarán, Vuestros jóvenes verán visiones, Vuestros ancianos soñarán sueños, 18 Ciertamente sobre mis siervos y sobre mis siervas en aquellos días Derramaré de mi Espíritu, y profetizarán. 19 Y daré prodigios arriba en el cielo, Y señales milagrosas abajo en la tierra, Sangre, y fuego y vapor de humo, 20 El sol se convertirá en tinieblas, Y la luna en sangre, Antes que venga el día grande y glorioso del Señor. 21 Y sucederá que todo aquel que invoque el nombre del Señor será salvo. 22 Varones israelitas, oíd estas palabras: Jesús nazareno, varón aprobado por Dios entre vosotros con maravillas y prodigios y señales milagrosas, que Dios hizo por medio de Él entre vosotros, como también vosotros sabéis; 23 a éste, entregado por el determinado designio y anticipado conocimiento de Dios, matasteis por mano de inicuos, crucificándolo; 24 al cual Dios levantó, sueltos los dolores de la muerte, por cuanto era imposible que fuera retenido por ella. 25 Porque David dice respecto a Él: Veía al Señor continuamente delante de mí, Pues está a mi diestra para que no sea conmovido. 26 Por esto, mi corazón se alegró, y mi lengua se regocijó en extremo, Y aun mi carne también descansará en esperanza, 27 Pues no abandonarás mi alma en el Hades, Ni permitirás que tu Santo vea corrupción. 28 Me hiciste conocer los caminos de vida, Me llenarás de gozo con tu presencia. 29 Varones hermanos, se os puede decir con franqueza acerca del patriarca David, que no sólo murió, sino que también fue sepultado, y su sepulcro está con nosotros hasta este día. 30 Pero, siendo profeta, y sabiendo que Dios le había jurado sentar en su trono al fruto de sus lomos, 31 previéndolo, habló acerca de la resurrección del Mesías, que no fue desamparado en el Hades, ni su carne vio corrupción. 32 A este Jesús lo ha resucitado Dios, de lo cual todos nosotros somos testigos. 33 Así que, exaltado a la diestra de Dios, y habiendo recibido del Padre la promesa del Espíritu Santo, ha derramado esto que vosotros veis y oís. 34 Porque no subió David a los cielos; pero él mismo dice: Dijo el Señor a mi Señor: Siéntate a mi diestra, 35 Hasta que ponga a tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies. 36 Sepa pues con certidumbre toda la casa de Israel, que a este Jesús, a quien vosotros crucificasteis, Dios lo hizo Señor y Mesías.

Los primeros convertidos

37 Al oírlo entonces, se compungieron de corazón, y dijeron a Pedro y a los otros apóstoles: Varones hermanos, ¿qué haremos? 38 Y Pedro a ellos: ¡Arrepentíos y sea bautizado cada uno de vosotros en el nombre de Jesús el Mesías para perdón de vuestros pecados, y recibiréis el don del Espíritu Santo! 39 Porque para vosotros es la promesa, y para vuestros hijos, y para todos los que están lejos; para cuantos llame el Señor nuestro Dios. 40 Y con otras muchas palabras testificaba solemnemente y los exhortaba, diciendo: ¡Sed salvos de esta perversa generación! 41 Así que, los que recibieron su palabra, fueron bautizados, y en aquel día fueron añadidas como tres mil personas. 42 Y estaban dedicados constantemente a la doctrina de los apóstoles, a la comunión, al partimiento del pan y a las oraciones. 43 Y sobrevenía temor a toda alma, y muchos prodigios y señales milagrosas eran hechas por los apóstoles. 44 Y todos los que creían estaban juntos; y tenían todas las cosas en común; 45 y vendían las propiedades y las posesiones, y las distribuían a todos según la necesidad de cada cual. 46 Y perseverando unánimes cada día en el templo y partiendo el pan de casa en casa, compartían el alimento con alegría y sencillez de corazón, 47 alabando a Dios, y teniendo gracia hacia todo el pueblo. Y cada día el Señor añadía al número los que iban siendo salvos.
