Der gute Hirte

1 Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wer nicht durch die Tür in den Hof der Schafe hineingeht, sondern anderswo hinübersteigt, der ist ein Dieb und ein Räuber. (Jer 23,1; Hes 34,2; Joh 10,8) 2 Wer aber durch die Tür hineingeht, ist Hirte der Schafe. 3 Diesem öffnet der Türhüter, und die Schafe hören seine Stimme, und er ruft die eigenen Schafe mit Namen und führt sie heraus. (Jes 43,1; Joh 10,16) 4 Wenn er die eigenen ⟨Schafe⟩ alle herausgebracht hat, geht er vor ihnen her, und die Schafe folgen ihm, weil sie seine Stimme kennen. 5 Einem Fremden aber werden sie nicht folgen, sondern werden vor ihm fliehen, weil sie die Stimme der Fremden nicht kennen. 6 Diese Bildrede sprach Jesus zu ihnen; sie aber verstanden nicht, was es war, das er zu ihnen redete. (Joh 16,25) 7 Jesus sprach nun wieder zu ihnen: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Ich bin die Tür der Schafe. 8 Alle, die vor mir gekommen sind, sind Diebe und Räuber; aber die Schafe hörten nicht auf sie. (Jer 23,1; Hes 34,2) 9 Ich bin die Tür; wenn jemand durch mich hineingeht, so wird er gerettet werden und wird ein- und ausgehen und Weide finden. 12 Wer Lohnarbeiter^[2] und nicht Hirte ist, wer die Schafe nicht zu eigen hat, sieht den Wolf kommen und verlässt die Schafe und flieht – und der Wolf raubt und zerstreut sie –, (Hes 34,2; Sach 11,17) 13 weil er ein Lohnarbeiter ist und sich um die Schafe nicht kümmert^[3]. 14 Ich bin der gute Hirte; und ich kenne die Meinen, und die Meinen kennen mich, (Ps 23,1; Jes 40,11; Hes 34,11; Joh 10,27; 2Tim 2,19; Hebr 13,20; 1Petr 2,25; 1Petr 5,4)

15 wie der Vater mich kennt und ich den Vater kenne; und ich lasse^[4] mein Leben für die Schafe. (Mt 20,28; Joh 7,29; Joh 15,13) 16 Und ich habe andere Schafe, die nicht aus diesem Hof sind; auch diese muss ich bringen, und sie werden meine Stimme hören, und es wird eine Herde, ein Hirte sein. 19 Es entstand wieder ein Zwiespalt unter den Juden dieser Worte wegen. (Joh 7,12) 20 Viele aber von ihnen sagten: Er hat einen Dämon und ist von Sinnen. Was hört ihr ihn? (Mk 3,21; Joh 7,20) 21 Andere sagten: Diese Reden sind nicht die eines Besessenen. Anschläge gegen Jesus

Für welches Werk unter ihnen steinigt ihr mich? (Mt 15,31) 33 Die Juden antworteten ihm: Wegen eines guten Werkes steinigen wir dich nicht, sondern wegen Lästerung, und weil du, der du ein Mensch bist, dich selbst zu Gott machst. I Am the Good Shepherd

1 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” (Joh 10,12) 6 This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them. Gesù, il buon pastore

Quest’ordine ho ricevuto dal Padre mio». 19 Nacque di nuovo un dissenso tra i Giudei per queste parole. 20 Molti di loro dicevano: «Ha un demonio ed è fuori di sé; perché lo ascoltate?» 21 Altri dicevano: «Queste non sono parole di un indemoniato. Può un demonio aprire gli occhi ai ciechi?»

Gesù afferma la sua divinità

22 In quel tempo ebbe luogo in Gerusalemme la festa della Dedicazione^[1]. Era d’inverno, 23 e Gesù passeggiava nel tempio, sotto il portico di Salomone. 24 I Giudei dunque gli si fecero attorno e gli dissero: «Fino a quando terrai sospeso l’animo nostro? Se tu sei il Cristo, diccelo apertamente». 25 Gesù rispose loro: «Ve l’ho detto, e non lo credete; le opere che faccio nel nome del Padre mio, sono quelle che testimoniano di me; 26 ma voi non credete, perché non siete delle mie pecore. 27 Le mie pecore ascoltano la mia voce e io le conosco, ed esse mi seguono; 28 e io do loro la vita eterna, e non periranno mai, e nessuno le rapirà dalla mia mano. 29 Il Padre mio che me le ha date è più grande di tutti; e nessuno può rapirle dalla mano del Padre. 30 Io e il Padre siamo uno». 31 I Giudei presero di nuovo delle pietre per lapidarlo. 32 Gesù disse loro: «Vi ho mostrato molte buone opere da parte del Padre; per quale di queste opere mi lapidate?» 33 I Giudei gli risposero: «Non ti lapidiamo per una buona opera, ma per bestemmia, e perché tu, che sei uomo, ti fai Dio». 34 Gesù rispose loro: «Non sta scritto nella vostra legge: “Io ho detto: voi siete dèi”^[2]? 35 Se chiama dèi coloro ai quali la parola di Dio è stata diretta (e la Scrittura non può essere annullata), 36 a colui che il Padre ha santificato e mandato nel mondo voi dite: “Tu bestemmi”, perché ho detto: “Sono Figlio di Dio”? 37 Se non faccio le opere del Padre mio, non credetemi; 38 ma se le faccio, anche se non credete a me, credete alle opere, affinché sappiate e riconosciate che il Padre è in me e io sono nel Padre». 39 Essi {perciò} cercavano nuovamente di arrestarlo; ma egli sfuggì loro dalle mani. 40 Gesù se ne andò di nuovo oltre il Giordano, dove Giovanni da principio battezzava, e là si trattenne. 41 Molti vennero a lui e dicevano: «Giovanni, è vero, non fece nessun segno miracoloso; ma tutto quello che Giovanni disse di quest’uomo era vero». 42 E là molti credettero in lui.
