1Wenn du nun in das Land kommst, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, zum Erbe gibt, und es in Besitz nimmst und darin wohnst, (4Mo 15,2; 4Mo 15,18; 5Mo 5,31)2so sollst du von den Erstlingen aller Früchte des Erdbodens nehmen, die du von deinem Land einbringen wirst, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir gibt, und sollst sie in einen Korb legen und an den Ort hingehen, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählen wird, um seinen Namen dort wohnen zu lassen; (2Mo 34,26; 4Mo 18,12; 2Chr 31,5; Spr 3,9)3und du sollst zu dem Priester kommen, der zu der Zeit [im Amt] sein wird, und zu ihm sagen: Ich bezeuge heute vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, dass ich in das Land gekommen bin, von dem der HERR unseren Vätern geschworen hat, dass er es uns gebe! Die Zehnten des dritten Jahres
12Wenn du den ganzen Zehnten deines Ertrages vollständig entrichtet hast, im dritten Jahr, dem Jahr des Zehnten, und du ihn dem Leviten, dem Fremdling, der Waise und der Witwe gegeben hast, dass sie in deinen Toren essen und satt werden, (3Mo 27,30; 4Mo 18,24; 5Mo 14,28)13dann sollst du vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, sprechen: »Was geheiligt ist, habe ich aus meinem Haus entfernt und es dem Leviten gegeben, dem Fremdling, der Waise und der Witwe, nach deinem ganzen Gebot, das du mir geboten hast; ich habe deine Gebote nicht übertreten, noch vergessen. Die Bundeszusagen
16Heute gebietet dir der HERR, dein Gott, dass du tust nach allen diesen Geboten und Rechten, dass du sie hältst und danach tust von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele.17Du hast dir heute vom HERRN sagen lassen, dass er dein Gott sein wolle und dass du sollest in allen seinen Wegen wandeln und halten seine Gesetze, Gebote und Rechte und seiner Stimme gehorchen.18Und der HERR hat dich heute sagen lassen, dass du sein eigenes Volk sein wollest, wie er dir zugesagt hat, und alle seine Gebote halten wollest19und dass er dich zum höchsten über alle Völker machen werde, die er geschaffen hat, zum Lob, zum Ruhm und zur Ehre, dass du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein heiliges Volk seist, wie er zugesagt hat. (5Mo 28,1)

Mein Vater war ein heimatloser Aramäer. Er zog nach Ägypten, lebte dort als Fremder mit wenigen Leuten und wurde dort zu einem großen, mächtigen und zahlreichen Volk. Wenn du den Korb vor den HERRN, deinen Gott, gestellt hast, sollst du dich vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, niederwerfen.11Dann sollst du fröhlich sein und dich freuen über alles Gute, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir und deiner Familie gegeben hat: du, die Leviten und die Fremden in deiner Mitte. (5Mo 12,7; 5Mo 16,14)
Gebet nach der Ablieferung des Zehnten für die Armen
12Wenn du im dritten Jahr, dem Zehntjahr, alle Zehntanteile von deiner Ernte vollständig ausgesondert und für die Leviten, Fremden, Waisen und Witwen abgeliefert hast und sie davon in deinen Stadtbereichen essen und satt werden, (5Mo 12,1; 5Mo 14,29)13dann sollst du vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, sagen: Ich habe alle heiligen Abgaben aus meinem Haus geschafft.
Ich habe sie für die Leviten und die Fremden, für die Waisen und die Witwen gegeben, genau nach deinem Gebot, auf das du mich verpflichtet hast. Ich habe deine Gebote nicht übertreten und nicht vergessen.14Ich habe in der Trauerzeit nicht davon gegessen. Ich habe nichts davon weggeschafft, als ich unrein war. Ich habe nichts davon einem Toten gespendet. Ich habe auf die Stimme des HERRN, meines Gottes, gehört. Ich habe alles so gehalten, wie du es mir zur Pflicht gemacht hast.15Blick von deiner heiligen Wohnung, vom Himmel, herab und segne dein Volk Israel und das Land, das du uns gegeben hast, wie du es unseren Vätern geschworen hattest, das Land, wo Milch und Honig fließen! Der Grund, das Gesetz zu halten der Bund
16Heute, an diesem Tag, verpflichtet dich der HERR, dein Gott, diese Gesetze und die Rechtsentscheide zu halten: Du sollst sie bewahren und sie halten mit ganzem Herzen und mit ganzer Seele. (5Mo 5,1)17Heute hast du der Erklärung des HERRN zugestimmt. Er hat dir erklärt: Er will dein Gott werden und du sollst auf seinen Wegen gehen, seine Gesetze, Gebote und Rechtsentscheide bewahren und auf seine Stimme hören. (5Mo 29,12; 2Sam 7,24)18Und der HERR hat heute deiner Erklärung zugestimmt. Du hast ihm erklärt: Du möchtest das Volk werden, das ihm persönlich gehört, wie er es dir zugesagt hat. Du willst alle seine Gebote bewahren; (5Mo 7,6)19er soll dich über alle Völker, die er geschaffen hat, erheben - zum Lob, zum Ruhm, zur Zierde -; und du möchtest ein Volk werden, das ihm, dem HERRN, deinem Gott, heilig ist, wie er es zugesagt hat. Follow the Lord’s commands
16The Lord your God commands you this day to follow these decrees and laws; carefully observe them with all your heart and with all your soul.17You have declared this day that the Lord is your God and that you will walk in obedience to him, that you will keep his decrees, commands and laws – that you will listen to him.18And the Lord has declared this day that you are his people, his treasured possession as he promised, and that you are to keep all his commands.19He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honour high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.
