1And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel.2For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, to keep the passover in the second month.3For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.4And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.5So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.6So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.7And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.8Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.9For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.10So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.11Nevertheless divers of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.12Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.13And there assembled at Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.14And they arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron.15Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the LORD.16And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.17For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the LORD.18For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon every one19That prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.20And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.21And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the LORD day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the LORD.22And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.23And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept other seven days with gladness.24For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.25And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.26So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.27Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.

(1Ch 13:4)5Und sie verfassten einen Aufruf, der in ganz Israel, von Beerscheba bis Dan, verkündigt werden sollte, dass sie kommen sollten, um dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, in Jerusalem das Passah zu halten; denn sie hatten es lange Zeit nicht mehr gefeiert, wie es vorgeschrieben ist. (Nu 9:3; De 13:1; Jud 20:1; 1Co 11:2; 1Co 11:23)6Und die Läufer gingen mit den Briefen von der Hand des Königs und seiner Obersten durch ganz Israel und Juda und sprachen nach dem Befehl des Königs: Ihr Kinder Israels, kehrt um zum HERRN, dem Gott Abrahams, Isaaks und Israels, so wird er sich zu den Entkommenen kehren, die euch aus der Hand der Könige von Assyrien noch übrig geblieben sind. (2Ki 15:19; 2Ki 15:29; 2Ki 17:6; 1Ch 5:26; Isa 55:7; Ho 6:1; Joe 2:12; Zec 1:3)7Und seid nicht wie eure Väter und eure Brüder, die sich versündigt haben an dem HERRN, dem Gott ihrer Väter, sodass er sie der Verwüstung preisgab, wie ihr seht! (2Ch 29:8; Eze 20:30; Heb 3:7)8So seid nun nicht halsstarrig wie eure Väter, sondern ergebt euch dem HERRN und kommt zu seinem Heiligtum, das er auf ewig geheiligt hat, und dient dem HERRN, eurem Gott, so wird sich die Glut seines Zorns von euch wenden! (De 10:16; De 12:5; De 31:27; 1Ch 29:24; 2Ch 7:16; 2Ch 29:10; 2Ch 36:13; La 3:40; Eze 18:14; Ro 6:13; Heb 3:15; Jas 4:8)9Denn wenn ihr zum HERRN umkehrt, so werden eure Brüder und eure Kinder Barmherzigkeit finden vor denen, die sie gefangen halten, sodass sie wieder in dieses Land zurückkehren können. Denn der HERR, euer Gott, ist gnädig und barmherzig, und er wird das Angesicht nicht von euch wenden, wenn ihr zu ihm umkehrt! (Ex 34:6; De 30:1; 2Ch 30:6; Ne 9:31; Ps 106:46; Ps 111:4; Joh 6:37)10Und die Läufer gingen von einer Stadt zur anderen im Land Ephraim und Manasse und bis nach Sebulon; aber man verlachte und verspottete sie. (2Ch 36:16; Job 12:4; Isa 28:22; Ac 2:13; 1Co 1:8)11Doch etliche von Asser und Manasse und Sebulon demütigten sich und kamen nach Jerusalem. (1Ki 19:18; 2Ch 11:16; 2Ch 30:18; Ps 119:67; Ps 119:71; 1Pe 5:5)12Auch in Juda wirkte die Hand Gottes, dass er ihnen ein einmütiges Herz gab, das Gebot des Königs und der Obersten zu erfüllen nach dem Wort des HERRN. (Ps 119:17; Ps 119:125; Ps 119:146; Ps 119:161; Jer 32:39; Eze 36:26; Php 2:13)13So versammelte sich denn in Jerusalem eine große Volksmenge, um im zweiten Monat das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote zu feiern, eine sehr große Gemeinde. (De 16:16; 2Ch 30:2; Ps 84:8; Isa 33:20)14Und sie machten sich auf und schafften die Altäre weg, die in Jerusalem waren; auch alle Räucheraltäre beseitigten sie und warfen sie in das Tal Kidron. (2Sa 15:23; 2Ch 15:16; 2Ch 28:24; 2Ch 34:4; Joh 18:1)15Dann schächteten sie das Passah am vierzehnten Tag des zweiten Monats. Und die Priester und Leviten schämten sich und heiligten sich und brachten Brandopfer zum Haus des HERRN; (Ex 19:10; Ex 19:22; 2Ch 5:11; 2Ch 29:34; 2Ch 30:24; Eze 16:61)16und sie standen auf ihren Posten, wie es sich gebührt, nach dem Gesetz Moses, des Mannes Gottes. Und die Priester sprengten das Blut, das sie aus der Hand der Leviten empfingen. (1Ch 23:14; 2Ch 35:11; Ezr 3:2; Ps 90:1)17Denn es waren viele in der Gemeinde, die sich nicht geheiligt hatten; deshalb schächteten die Leviten die Passahlämmer für alle, die nicht rein waren, um sie dem HERRN zu heiligen. (2Ch 29:34; 2Ch 35:3)18Denn ein großer Teil des Volkes, viele von Ephraim, Manasse, Issaschar und Sebulon, hatten sich nicht gereinigt, sodass sie das Passah nicht aßen, wie es vorgeschrieben ist; aber Hiskia betete für sie und sprach: Der HERR, der gütig ist, wolle allen denen vergeben, (Ge 20:7; Ge 20:17; Nu 9:11; 2Ch 5:13; 2Ch 7:3; Job 42:8; La 3:25; Na 1:7)19die ihr Herz darauf gerichtet haben, Gott zu suchen, den HERRN, den Gott ihrer Väter, auch wenn sie es nicht mit der Reinheit getan haben, die für das Heiligtum erforderlich ist! (2Ch 19:3; Ezr 7:10)20Und der HERR erhörte Hiskia und heilte das Volk. (Ps 103:3; Jas 5:15; 1Jo 5:16)21So feierten die Kinder Israels, die sich in Jerusalem befanden, das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote sieben Tage lang mit großer Freude. Und die Leviten und Priester lobten den HERRN alle Tage mit Instrumenten zum Preis der Macht des HERRN. (Ex 12:15; De 16:14; 2Ch 7:10; 2Ch 30:26; Ne 8:10; Lu 22:1; Lu 22:7; Lu 22:15; Ac 2:46; 1Co 5:7; Php 4:4)22Und Hiskia sprach allen Leviten Mut zu, die sich verständig erwiesen in der Erkenntnis des HERRN; und sie hielten Festmahle sieben Tage lang und opferten Friedensopfer und priesen den HERRN, den Gott ihrer Väter. (Ex 15:2; De 33:10; Ezr 7:10; Ezr 7:25; Ne 8:7; Ps 30:5; Ps 97:12; Mt 9:8; Mt 11:25; Joh 17:3; Php 3:8; 2Ti 4:2)23Und die ganze Gemeinde beschloss, noch weitere sieben Tage das Fest zu feiern, und so feierten sie noch sieben Tage lang ein Freudenfest; (1Ki 8:65; 2Ch 7:9)24denn Hiskia, der König von Juda, spendete für die Gemeinde 1 000 Jungstiere und 7 000 Schafe. Und die Obersten spendeten der Gemeinde 1 000 Jungstiere und 10 000 Schafe. Und es heiligten sich viele Priester. (2Ch 30:15; 2Ch 35:7)25Und die ganze Gemeinde von Juda freute sich und die Priester und Leviten und die ganze Gemeinde, die aus Israel gekommen war, auch die Fremdlinge, die aus dem Land Israel gekommen waren, und die in Juda wohnten. (Ex 12:49; 2Ch 2:17; Isa 14:1)26Es war aber große Freude in Jerusalem; denn seit der Zeit Salomos, des Sohnes Davids, des Königs von Israel, hatte es etwas Derartiges nicht gegeben in Jerusalem. (2Ch 29:36)27Und die Priester, die Leviten, standen auf und segneten das Volk, und ihr Rufen wurde erhört, und ihr Gebet kam zu Seiner heiligen Wohnung, in den Himmel. (Nu 6:23; De 10:8; 1Ki 8:30; Re 8:3)
