3 Ein Rind kennt seinen Besitzer und ein Esel die Krippe seines Herrn. Israel ⟨aber⟩ hat keine Erkenntnis, mein Volk hat keine Einsicht. 5 Wohin wollt ihr noch geschlagen werden, die ihr ⟨eure⟩ Widerspenstigkeit ⟨nur⟩ vermehrt? Das ganze Haupt ist krank, und das ganze Herz ist siech. (2Chr 28,22) 6 Von der Fußsohle bis zum Haupt ist keine heile Stelle an ihm: Wunden und Striemen und frische Schläge; sie sind nicht ausgedrückt und nicht verbunden, noch mit Öl gelindert. (Jer 6,7; Jer 8,22; Lk 10,34) 7 Euer Land ist eine Öde, eure Städte sind mit Feuer verbrannt; euer Ackerland – Fremde verzehren ⟨seine Frucht⟩ vor euren Augen; eine Öde ist es wie bei einer Umkehrung durch Fremde^[3]. Wahrer und falscher Gottesdienst

10 Hört das Wort des HERRN, ihr Anführer von Sodom! Horcht auf die Weisung^[5] unseres Gottes, Volk von Gomorra! (5Mo 32,32; Jer 23,14) 11 Wozu ⟨soll⟩ mir die Menge eurer Schlachtopfer ⟨dienen⟩?, spricht der HERR. Ich habe die Brandopfer von Widdern und das Fett der Mastkälber satt, und am Blut von Stieren, Lämmern und jungen Böcken habe ich kein Gefallen. 12 Wenn ihr kommt, um vor meinem Angesicht zu erscheinen – wer hat das von eurer Hand gefordert, meine Vorhöfe zu zertreten? (Pred 4,17) 13 Bringt nicht länger nichtige^[6] Speisopfer! Das Räucherwerk ist mir ein Gräuel. Neumond und Sabbat, das Einberufen von Versammlungen: Sünde^[7] und Festversammlung ertrage ich nicht. (4Mo 28,10; Jes 66,3; Joe 2,15) 14 Eure Neumonde und eure Feste hasst meine Seele. Sie sind mir zur Last geworden, ich bin es müde, ⟨sie⟩ zu ertragen. (Jes 29,1; Am 5,21) 15 Und wenn ihr eure Hände ausbreitet, verhülle ich meine Augen vor euch. Auch wenn ihr noch so viel betet, höre ich nicht – eure Hände sind voll Blut. 18 Kommt denn und lasst uns miteinander rechten!, spricht der HERR. Wenn eure Sünden ⟨rot⟩ wie Karmesin sind, wie Schnee sollen sie weiß werden.^[9] Wenn sie rot sind wie Purpur, wie Wolle sollen sie werden.^[10] (Ps 51,9; Jes 3,13; Jes 41,21; Jes 43,26; Offb 3,4; Offb 7,14)

The Wickedness of Judah

The Unfaithful City

21 How the faithful city has become a whore,^[4] she who was full of justice! Righteousness lodged in her, but now murderers. (2Mo 34,15; Jer 2,20; Jer 31,23) 22 Your silver has become dross, your best wine mixed with water. (Jer 6,30; Hes 22,18) 23 Your princes are rebels and companions of thieves.
