1 Das Wort, das Jesaja, der Sohn des Amoz, über Juda und Jerusalem geschaut hat: (Jes 1,1) 2 Und es wird geschehen am Ende der Tage, da wird der Berg des Hauses des HERRN fest stehen als Haupt^[1] der Berge und erhaben sein über die Hügel. 3 und viele Völker werden hingehen und sagen: Kommt, lasst uns hinaufziehen zum Berg des HERRN, zum Haus des Gottes Jakobs, dass er uns aufgrund seiner Wege belehrt und wir auf seinen Pfaden gehen! 4 Und er wird richten zwischen den Nationen und Recht sprechen für viele Völker. Dann werden sie ihre Schwerter zu Pflugscharen umschmieden^[3] und ihre Speere zu Winzermessern. Gericht am Tag des HERRN

6 Ja, du hast dein Volk, das Haus Jakob, aufgegeben. Denn sie sind voll ⟨von Wahrsagern⟩ aus dem Osten und sind Zauberer wie die Philister, und mit den Kindern der Fremden schlagen sie in die Hände^[5]. (5Mo 18,14; 5Mo 31,17; 1Sam 6,2; 2Kön 17,20; Mi 5,11)

9 Da wird der Mensch gebeugt und der Mann erniedrigt.^[6] Und du mögest ihnen nicht vergeben! (Jos 24,19) 10 Verkriech dich in den Fels und halte dich im Staub versteckt vor dem Schrecken des HERRN und vor der Pracht seiner Majestät! 11 Die stolzen Augen des Menschen werden erniedrigt, und der Hochmut des Mannes wird gebeugt. 13 über alle Zedern des Libanon, die hohen und erhabenen, und über alle Eichen Baschans; (Ps 29,5; Jes 10,33; Sach 11,2) 14 über alle hohen Berge und über alle erhabenen Hügel; 15 über jeden hohen Turm und über jede steile Mauer; (Jes 30,25; Zef 1,16) 16 über alle Tarsisschiffe^[7] und über alle kostbaren Boote. 19 Da wird man sich in Felsenhöhlen und in Erdlöchern verkriechen vor dem Schrecken des HERRN und vor der Pracht seiner Majestät, wenn er sich aufmacht, die Erde zu schrecken. (Hos 10,8; Offb 6,15) 20 An jenem Tag wird der Mensch seine silbernen Götzen und seine goldenen Götzen, die man ihm zum Anbeten gemacht hat, den Spitzmäusen und den Fledermäusen hinwerfen,^[9] (1Mo 35,4; Jes 10,3; Jes 30,22; Jes 31,7; Zef 2,11)

The Mountain of the Lord

1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it, (Jes 14,13; Jes 25,6; Jes 56,7; Mi 4,1)
