Dank und Fürbitte im Blick auf die Gemeinde
3Wir danken Gott, dem Vater unseres Herrn Jesus Christus, allezeit, wenn wir für euch beten, (Röm 1,8)4da wir von eurem Glauben in[3] Christus Jesus gehört haben und von der Liebe, die ihr zu allen Heiligen habt, (Eph 1,15; 2Thess 1,3)5wegen der Hoffnung, die für euch in den Himmeln aufbewahrt ist. Von ihr habt ihr vorher ⟨schon⟩ gehört im Wort der Wahrheit des Evangeliums, (Eph 1,13; Tit 2,13; 1Petr 1,3)6das zu euch gekommen ist, wie es auch in der ganzen Welt ist und Frucht bringt und wächst, wie auch unter[4] euch von dem Tag an, da ihr es gehört und die Gnade Gottes in Wahrheit erkannt[5] habt. (Jes 55,11; Mk 4,8; Apg 6,7; Röm 10,18; Kol 1,23; 1Thess 2,13; 1Tim 3,16)7So habt ihr es gelernt von Epaphras, unserem geliebten Mitknecht[6], der ein treuer Diener[7] des Christus für euch ist (Kol 4,12; Phlm 1,23)8und uns auch eure Liebe im Geist kundgetan hat.9Deshalb hören auch wir nicht auf, von dem Tag an, da wir es gehört haben, für euch zu beten und zu bitten, dass ihr mit der Erkenntnis seines Willens erfüllt werdet in aller Weisheit und geistlichem Verständnis, (Ps 119,73; Röm 12,2; Phil 1,9; Kol 2,2; 1Thess 4,3; 2Thess 1,11; 2Tim 2,7)10um des Herrn würdig zu wandeln zu allem Wohlgefallen, fruchtbringend in jedem guten Werk und wachsend durch die[8] Erkenntnis Gottes, (Joh 15,16; Eph 1,16; Eph 2,10; Eph 4,1; 1Thess 4,1; 2Tim 3,17; Hebr 13,21; 2Petr 3,18)11gekräftigt mit aller Kraft nach der Macht seiner Herrlichkeit, zu allem Ausharren und ⟨aller⟩ Langmut, mit Freuden (Eph 3,16; Jak 1,4)12dem Vater danksagend[9], der euch fähig[10] gemacht hat zum Anteil am Erbe der Heiligen im Licht; (Apg 20,32)13er hat uns gerettet[11] aus der Macht[12] der Finsternis und versetzt in das Reich[13] des Sohnes seiner Liebe. (Apg 26,18; Eph 1,6; Eph 6,12)14In ihm haben wir die Erlösung[14], die Vergebung der Sünden. (Röm 3,24; 1Kor 1,30; Eph 1,7; Kol 2,13)
Jesu Größe und Werk
15Er ist das Bild des unsichtbaren Gottes, der Erstgeborene aller Schöpfung. (Joh 12,45; 2Kor 4,4; Kol 1,18; Hebr 1,6)16Denn in ihm[15] ist alles in den Himmeln und auf der Erde geschaffen worden, das Sichtbare und das Unsichtbare, es seien Throne oder Herrschaften oder Gewalten oder Mächte: Alles ist durch ihn und zu ihm hin geschaffen; (Joh 1,3; Röm 11,36)17und er ist vor allem, und alles besteht durch ihn. (Spr 8,25; Mi 5,1; Joh 8,58; Joh 17,5; Hebr 1,3; Offb 3,14)18Und er ist das Haupt des Leibes, der Gemeinde[16]. Er ist der Anfang, der Erstgeborene aus den Toten, damit er in allem den Vorrang hat; (Apg 26,23; Röm 8,29; 1Kor 15,20; Eph 1,22; Kol 2,19; Offb 1,5)19denn es gefiel der ganzen Fülle[17], in ihm zu wohnen (Kol 2,9)20und durch ihn alles mit sich[18] zu versöhnen – indem[19] er Frieden gemacht hat durch das Blut seines Kreuzes – durch ihn, sei es, was auf der Erde oder was in den Himmeln ist. (Röm 5,1; Eph 1,10; Eph 2,16; 1Joh 2,2)21Und euch, die ihr einst entfremdet und Feinde wart nach der Gesinnung in den bösen Werken, (Röm 8,7; Eph 2,1; Eph 2,13)22hat er[20] aber nun versöhnt in dem Leib seines Fleisches durch den Tod, um euch heilig und tadellos und unsträflich vor sich hinzustellen, (Röm 5,10; Eph 1,4; Eph 2,15; 1Petr 3,18)23sofern ihr im Glauben gegründet und fest bleibt und euch nicht abbringen lasst von der Hoffnung des Evangeliums, das ihr gehört habt, das in der ganzen Schöpfung unter dem Himmel gepredigt worden ist, dessen Diener ich, Paulus, geworden bin. Des Apostels Leiden und Dienst
24Jetzt freue ich mich in den Leiden für euch und ergänze in meinem Fleisch, was noch aussteht von den Bedrängnissen des Christus für seinen Leib, das ist die Gemeinde[21]. (Eph 3,1; Phil 2,17; Kol 1,18)25Ihr Diener bin ich geworden nach der Verwaltung[22] Gottes, die mir im Blick auf euch gegeben ist, um das Wort Gottes zu vollenden[23], (1Kor 4,1; Eph 3,7; 1Tim 2,7)26das Geheimnis, das von den Zeitaltern[24] und von den Geschlechtern her verborgen war, jetzt aber seinen Heiligen offenbart worden ist. (Röm 16,25; Eph 3,5; Kol 4,3)27Ihnen wollte Gott zu erkennen geben, was der Reichtum der Herrlichkeit dieses Geheimnisses unter den Nationen sei, und das ist: Christus in euch, die Hoffnung der Herrlichkeit. The Preeminence of Christ
15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. Il primato di Cristo

Il combattimento dell’apostolo
24Ora sono lieto di soffrire per voi; e quel che manca alle afflizioni di Cristo[3] lo compio nella mia carne a favore del suo corpo che è la chiesa.25Di questa io sono diventato servitore, secondo l’incarico che Dio mi ha dato per voi di annunciare nella sua totalità la parola di Dio,26cioè, il mistero che è stato nascosto per tutti i secoli e per tutte le generazioni, ma che ora è stato manifestato ai suoi santi.27Dio ha voluto far loro conoscere quale sia la ricchezza della gloria di questo mistero fra gli stranieri, cioè Cristo in voi, la speranza della gloria,28che noi proclamiamo, esortando ciascun uomo e ciascun uomo istruendo in ogni sapienza, affinché presentiamo ogni uomo perfetto in Cristo.29A questo fine mi affatico, combattendo con la sua forza, che agisce in me con potenza.
