1 Тогава Соломон събра при себе си в Йерусалим израилските старейшини и всички началници на племената, началниците на бащините домове на израилтяните, за да възнесат ковчега на ГОСПОДНИЯ завет от Давидовия град, който е Сион. Херувимите покриваха отгоре ковчега и върлините му. 8 И върлините бяха издадени, така че от святото място пред светилището се виждаха краищата им, но навън не се виждаха. Те са там и до днес. (Лев 16:2; 2 Лет 6:1; Пс 18:11; Пс 97:2) 13 Аз Ти построих дом за обитаване, място, в което да пребиваваш вечно. (2 Цар 7:13; Пс 132:14) 14 После царят обърна лицето си и благослови цялото израилско общество, докато цялото израилско общество стоеше на крака: (2 Цар 6:18) 15 Благословен да бъде ГОСПОД, Израилевият Бог, Който извърши с ръката Си онова, което говори с устата Си на баща ми Давид: (2 Цар 7:5; 2 Цар 7:25; Лк 1:68) 16 От деня, когато изведох народа Си Израил от Египет, не избрах измежду всички израилски племена нито един град, където да бъде построен дом, за да се настани името Ми там; но избрах Давид, за да бъде над народа Ми Израил. (2 Лет 6:8; 2 Лет 6:9) 19 Ти обаче няма да построиш дома, а синът ти, който ще излезе от чреслата ти. Той ще построи дома за името Ми. (2 Цар 7:5; 2 Цар 7:12; 2 Цар 7:13; 3 Цар 5:3; 3 Цар 5:5) 20 И така, ГОСПОД изпълни словото, което говори. Като се издигнах аз вместо баща си Давид и седнах на израилския престол, както говори ГОСПОД, построих дома за името на ГОСПОДА, Израилевия Бог. (Бит 17:1; Изх 15:11; Вт 7:9; 2 Цар 7:22; 3 Цар 3:6; 4 Цар 20:3; Неем 1:5; Дан 9:4) 24 Ти си изпълнил към слугата Си Давид, баща ми, това, което си му обещал – да! Послушай вика и молитвата, с която слугата Ти се моли днес пред Тебе. 29 Нека бъдат очите Ти нощем и денем, отворени към Твоя дом, към мястото, за което Ти си казал: Името Ми ще бъде там, за да слушаш молитвата, с която слугата Ти ще се моли на това място. (Вт 12:11) 30 Слушай молбата на слугата Си и на народа Си Израил, когато се молят на това място – да! Слушай Ти от местообиталището Си, от небето, и като слушаш, бъди милостив. (2 Лет 20:9; Неем 1:6) 31 Ако някой съгреши спрямо ближния си и му се наложи клетва, за да се закълне, и дойде и се закълне пред жертвеника Ти в този дом, (Изх 22:11) 32 тогава Ти слушай от небето и стори, извърши правосъдие за слугите Си и осъди беззаконника, възвърни делото му върху главата му, а оправдай праведния, като му отдадеш според правдата му. (Вт 25:1) 33 Когато народът Ти Израил бъде разбит пред неприятеля по причина, че са съгрешили пред Теб, ако се обърнат към Теб и изповядат Твоето име, и принесат молитва, като Ти се помолят в този дом, (Лев 26:17; Лев 26:39; Лев 26:40; Вт 28:25; Неем 1:9) 34 тогава Ти послушай от небето и прости греха на народа Си Израил и ги възвърни в земята, която си дал на бащите им. 35 Когато се затвори небето и не вали дъжд по причина, че са съгрешили пред Теб, ако се помолят на това място и изповядат Твоето име, и се обърнат от греховете си, понеже ги съкрушаваш, (Лев 26:19; Вт 28:23) 36 тогава Ти послушай от небето и прости греха на слугите Си и на народа Си Израил и им покажи добрия път, по който трябва да ходят, и изпрати дъжд на земята Си, която Си дал в наследство на народа Си. (1 Цар 12:23; Пс 25:4; Пс 27:11; Пс 94:12; Пс 143:8) 37 Ако настане глад на земята, ако настане мор, ако се появят изсушителен вятър, мана, скакалци или гъсеници, ако неприятелят им ги обсади в градовете на земята им – каквато и да е язвата, каквато и да е болестта, – (Лев 26:16; Лев 26:25; Лев 26:26; Вт 28:21; Вт 28:22; Вт 28:27; Вт 28:38; Вт 28:42; Вт 28:52; 2 Лет 20:9) 38 тогава всяка молитва, всяка молба, която би била принесена от който и да било човек или от целия Ти народ Израил, като всеки познае раната на своето сърце и протегне ръцете си към този дом, 39 Ти послушай от небето, от местообиталището Си, и прости, и направи, и въздай на всеки според всичките му постъпки, като познаваш сърцето му (защото Ти, само Ти познаваш сърцата на целия човешки род), (1 Цар 16:7; 1 Лет 28:9; Пс 11:4; Ер 17:10; Д А 1:24) 40 за да се боят от Тебе през цялото време, когато живеят на земята, която си дал на бащите ни. (Пс 130:4) 41 Още за чужденеца, който не е от народа Ти Израил, а идва от далечна страна заради Твоето име 42 (защото ще чуят за великото Ти име, за Твоята мощна ръка и за Твоята издигната мишца) – когато дойде и се помоли в този дом, (Вт 3:24) 43 Ти послушай от небето, от местообиталището Си, и направи според всичко, за което чужденецът Те призове; за да познаят името Ти всички народи на света, да се боят от Тебе, както народът Ти Израил, и да познаят, че с Твоето име бе наречен този дом, който построих. (1 Цар 17:46; 4 Цар 19:19; Пс 67:2; Пс 102:15) 44 Ако народът Ти излезе на бой против неприятеля си, където би ги пратил Ти, и се помолят на ГОСПОДА, като се обърнат към града, който Ти си избрал, и към дома, който построих за Твоето име, 45 тогава послушай от небето молитвата им и защити правото им. 46 Ако съгрешат пред Тебе (защото няма човек, който да не греши) и Ти се разгневиш на тях и ги предадеш на неприятеля, и поробителите им ги заведат като пленници в неприятелската земя, далеч или близо, (Лев 26:34; Лев 26:44; Вт 28:36; Вт 28:64; 2 Лет 6:36; Пр 20:9; Екл 7:20; Як 3:2; 1 Йн 1:8; 1 Йн 1:10) 47 все пак, ако дойдат на себе си в земята, където са отведени като пленници, и се обърнат и Ти се помолят в земята на поробителите си, и кажат: Съгрешихме, беззаконствахме, извършихме неправда, (Лев 26:40; Неем 1:6; Пс 106:6; Дан 9:5) 48 и се обърнат към Тебе с цялото си сърце и цялата си душа в земята на неприятелите, които са ги пленили, и Ти се помолят, като се обърнат към земята, която си дал на бащите им, към града, който си избрал, и към дома, който построих за Твоето име, (Ер 29:12; Дан 6:10) 49 тогава Ти послушай от небето, от местообиталището Си, молитвата им и молбата им, защити правото им 50 и прости на народа Си, който е съгрешил пред Тебе, всичките им престъпления, чрез които станаха престъпници против Теб. Умилостиви към тях враговете им, за да им покажат милост; (Езд 7:6; Пс 106:46) 51 защото те са Твой народ и Твое наследство, които си извел от Египет, от желязната пещ. (Вт 4:20; Вт 9:29; Неем 1:10; Ер 11:4) 52 И така, нека очите Ти бъдат отворени към молбата на слугата Ти и към молбата на народа Ти Израил, за да ги слушаш, за каквото и да Те призоват; 53 защото Ти, Господи ЙЕХОВА, си ги отделил от всички племена на света, за да бъдат Твое наследство, както говори чрез слугата Си Моисей, когато изведе бащите ни от Египет. (Изх 19:5; Вт 9:26; Вт 9:29; Вт 14:2) 54 След като Соломон свърши да принася цялата тази молитва и прошение към ГОСПОДА, стана отпред ГОСПОДНИЯ жертвеник, където беше коленичил с ръце, протегнати към небето. 55 И застана и благослови цялото израилско общество, като каза: (2 Цар 6:18) 56 Благословен да бъде ГОСПОД, Който успокои народа Си Израил според всичко, което е обещал. Не пропадна нито едно от всичките добри обещания, които даде чрез слугата Си Моисей. (Вт 12:10; И Н 21:45; И Н 23:14) 57 Дано ГОСПОД, нашият Бог, бъде с нас, както е бил с бащите ни. Да не ни изостави, нито да ни отхвърли! (Вт 31:6; И Н 1:5) 58 Да преклони сърцата ни към Себе Си, така че да ходим във всичките Му пътища и да пазим заповедите, наредбите и законите, които е заповядал на бащите ни! (Пс 119:36) 59 И тези думи, с които се помолих на ГОСПОДА, нека бъдат денем и нощем близо до ГОСПОДА, нашия Бог, за да защитава правото на слугата Си и правото на народа Си Израил според всекидневната нужда, 60 така че всички племена на света да познаят, че ЙЕХОВА е Бог и няма друг. (Вт 4:35; Вт 4:39; И Н 4:24; 1 Цар 17:46; 4 Цар 19:19) 61 И така, нека вашите сърца бъдат съвършени спрямо ГОСПОДА, нашия Бог, за да ходите в наредбите Му и да пазите заповедите Му, както правите днес. (3 Цар 11:4; 3 Цар 15:3; 3 Цар 15:14; 4 Цар 20:3) 62 Тогава царят заедно с целия Израил принесоха жертви пред ГОСПОДА. (2 Лет 7:4) 63 За мирни жертви, които принесе на ГОСПОДА, Соломон пожертва двадесет и две хиляди говеда и сто и двадесет хиляди овце. Така царят и всички израилтяни осветиха ГОСПОДНИЯ дом. 64 В същия ден царят освети средата на двора, който е към лицето на ГОСПОДНИЯ дом. Там принесе всеизгарянето, хлебния принос и тлъстината на мирните приноси. Понеже медният жертвеник, който беше пред ГОСПОДА, беше твърде малък, за да побере всеизгарянето, хлебния принос и тлъстината на мирните приноси. (2 Лет 4:1; 2 Лет 7:7) 65 По този начин Соломон заедно с целия Израил – голям събор, събран от местностите от прохода на Емат до египетския поток – спазваха в онова време празника пред ГОСПОДА, нашия Бог, седем и седем дни, общо четиринадесет дни. (Бит 15:18; Лев 23:34; Чис 31:5; Чис 34:8; И Н 13:5; Съд 3:3; 3 Цар 8:2; 4 Цар 14:25; 2 Лет 7:8) 66 А на осмия ден Соломон разпусна народа. Те благословиха царя и си отидоха в шатрите с радостни и весели сърца поради всичкото добро, което ГОСПОД беше показал към слугата Си Давид и към народа Си Израил. (2 Лет 7:9; 2 Лет 7:10)

1 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion. (Чис 1:16; 2 Цар 5:7; 2 Цар 6:17; 2 Лет 5:2) 2 And all the men of Israel assembled to King Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month. (Лев 23:34; 3 Цар 8:65; 2 Лет 7:8) 3 And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark. (Чис 4:15; Вт 31:9; И Н 3:3; И Н 3:6; 1 Лет 15:14; 1 Лет 15:15) 4 And they brought up the ark of the LORD, the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the tent; the priests and the Levites brought them up. (3 Цар 3:4; 2 Лет 1:3) 5 And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who had assembled before him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered. You spoke with your mouth, and with your hand have fulfilled it this day. (3 Цар 8:15) 25 Now therefore, O LORD, God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father what you have promised him, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your sons pay close attention to their way, to walk before me as you have walked before me.’ (3 Цар 2:4) 26 Now therefore, O God of Israel, let your word be confirmed, which you have spoken to your servant David my father. (2 Цар 7:25) 27 “But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built! And listen in heaven your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive. 31 “If a man sins against his neighbor and is made to take an oath and comes and swears his oath before your altar in this house, (Изх 22:11) 32 then hear in heaven and act and judge your servants, condemning the guilty by bringing his conduct on his own head, and vindicating the righteous by rewarding him according to his righteousness. (Вт 25:1) 33 “When your people Israel are defeated before the enemy because they have sinned against you, and if they turn again to you and acknowledge your name and pray and plead with you in this house, (Лев 26:17; Лев 26:40; Вт 28:45; Неем 1:9) 34 then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them again to the land that you gave to their fathers. 35 “When heaven is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you, if they pray toward this place and acknowledge your name and turn from their sin, when you afflict them, (Лев 26:17; Вт 11:17; Вт 28:25; Лк 4:25) 36 then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk, and grant rain upon your land, which you have given to your people as an inheritance. (1 Цар 12:23; Пс 25:4; Пс 27:11; Пс 86:11) 37 “If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence or blight or mildew or locust or caterpillar, if their enemy besieges them in the land at their gates,[2] whatever plague, whatever sickness there is, (Лев 26:16; Лев 26:25; Лев 26:26; Вт 28:21; Вт 28:22; Вт 28:37; Вт 28:38; Вт 28:42; Вт 28:52; 2 Лет 20:9) 38 whatever prayer, whatever plea is made by any man or by all your people Israel, each knowing the affliction of his own heart and stretching out his hands toward this house, 39 then hear in heaven your dwelling place and forgive and act and render to each whose heart you know, according to all his ways ( for you, you only, know the hearts of all the children of mankind), (1 Цар 16:7; 1 Лет 28:9; Ер 17:10; Д А 1:24) 40 that they may fear you all the days that they live in the land that you gave to our fathers. (Вт 12:1) 41 “Likewise, when a foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, comes from a far country for your name’s sake 42 (for they shall hear of your great name and your mighty hand, and of your outstretched arm), when he comes and prays toward this house, (Вт 3:24; 2 Лет 6:32) 43 hear in heaven your dwelling place and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to you, in order that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your people Israel, and that they may know that this house that I have built is called by your name. (И Н 4:24; 3 Цар 8:60; Пс 102:15) 44 “If your people go out to battle against their enemy, by whatever way you shall send them, and they pray to the LORD toward the city that you have chosen and the house that I have built for your name, (3 Цар 8:48) 45 then hear in heaven their prayer and their plea, and maintain their cause. 46 “If they sin against you— for there is no one who does not sin—and you are angry with them and give them to an enemy, so that they are carried away captive to the land of the enemy, far off or near, (Лев 26:34; Лев 26:44; Вт 28:36; Вт 28:64; Пр 20:9; Екл 7:20; Рим 3:23; Як 3:2; 1 Йн 1:8; 1 Йн 1:10) 47 yet if they turn their heart in the land to which they have been carried captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captors, saying, ‘We have sinned and have acted perversely and wickedly,’ (Лев 26:40; Неем 1:6; Пс 106:6; Дан 9:5) 48 if they repent with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies, who carried them captive, and pray to you toward their land, which you gave to their fathers, the city that you have chosen, and the house that I have built for your name, (1 Цар 7:3; Пс 5:7; Ер 29:12; Дан 6:10; Йона 2:4) 49 then hear in heaven your dwelling place their prayer and their plea, and maintain their cause 50 and forgive your people who have sinned against you, and all their transgressions that they have committed against you, and grant them compassion in the sight of those who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them (Пс 106:46) 51 ( for they are your people, and your heritage, which you brought out of Egypt, from the midst of the iron furnace). (Вт 4:20; Вт 9:29; Неем 1:10; Ер 11:4) 52 Let your eyes be open to the plea of your servant and to the plea of your people Israel, giving ear to them whenever they call to you. (3 Цар 8:29) 53 For you separated them from among all the peoples of the earth to be your heritage, as you declared through Moses your servant, when you brought our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.” (Изх 19:5; Изх 19:6; Вт 9:26; Вт 9:29; Вт 14:2) 54 Now as Solomon finished offering all this prayer and plea to the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, where he had knelt with hands outstretched toward heaven. (2 Лет 6:13; 2 Лет 7:1) 55 And he stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying, (3 Цар 8:14) 56 “Blessed be the LORD who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. (Пс 119:36) 59 Let these words of mine, with which I have pleaded before the LORD, be near to the LORD our God day and night, and may he maintain the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel, as each day requires, 60 that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other. (Вт 4:35; Вт 4:39; 3 Цар 8:43) 61 Let your heart therefore be wholly true to the LORD our God, walking in his statutes and keeping his commandments, as at this day.” (4 Цар 11:4; 4 Цар 15:3; 4 Цар 15:14; 4 Цар 20:3) 62 Then the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the LORD. (2 Лет 7:4; Езд 6:16; Езд 6:17) 63 Solomon offered as peace offerings to the LORD 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep. So the king and all the people of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD. 64 The same day the king consecrated the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD, for there he offered the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat pieces of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar that was before the LORD was too small to receive the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat pieces of the peace offerings. (2 Лет 4:1) 65 So Solomon held the feast at that time, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from Lebo-hamath to the Brook of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days.[3] (Лев 23:34; Чис 13:21; Чис 34:5; Чис 34:8; 3 Цар 8:2; 4 Цар 24:7) 66 On the eighth day he sent the people away, and they blessed the king and went to their homes joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had shown to David his servant and to Israel his people.
