10 For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. (Ge 3:19; 1Th 4:11) 

New International Version

10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: ‘The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

10 Even when we were with you, we gave you a rule. We said, ‘Anyone who won’t work shouldn’t be allowed to eat.’ 

King James Version

10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
