1Schließlich redete Gott zu Jesaja über die Stadt Babylon:2„Stellt eine Fahne oben auf einen Berg, wo gerade nichts wächst. Dann schaltet große Anzeigen in allen Zeitungen und zieht die Freiwilligen zum Wehrdienst in die Kasernen ein.3Ich habe alle Männer, die sich mir ganz radikal zur Verfügung gestellt haben, zusammengerufen. Alle meine Helden, die mir zugejubelt haben, sollen kommen und mein Urteil durchziehen.“4Hört ihr das auch? Das laute Dröhnen, was da vom Berg herkommt? Es sind sehr viele Soldaten, von allen möglichen Nationen. Gott hat sein Heer zusammengerufen, und zieht gerade die Musterung durch.5Sie kommen zum Teil vom anderen Ende der Erde. Es ist Gott, der mit Waffen anrückt, weil er sauer ist. Er wird das ganze Land kaputt machen.6Heult nur rum. Denn der besondere Tag, den Gott bestimmt hat, ist jetzt gekommen. Er wird alles plattmachen. Für Gott ist alles möglich.7Darum werden alle Menschen abschlaffen und weiche Knie bekommen.8Sie werden total fertig sein. Dazu bekommen sie Muskelkrämpfe und schlimme Magenschmerzen. Sie werden sich vor Schmerzen krümmen, wie eine Frau, die gerade ein Baby bekommt. Ohne Peilung starren sie sich nur noch an, ihre Gesichter werden glühen.9Jetzt ist er da, der letzte Tag, wo abgerechnet wird. Er wird hart sein, grausam und heftig. Die ganze Erde wird komplett abgefackelt, er löscht überall das Leben aus, und alle Menschen, die nicht das tun, was Gott wollte, werden sterben.10Es wird keine Sterne mehr geben, die am Himmel funkeln. Auch den Großen Wagen oder den Orion wird man nicht mehr am Himmel sehen können. Die Sonne wird zwar aufgehen, aber sie hat keine Kraft mehr, sie leuchtet nicht mehr, sie ist ausgegangen. Darum wird der Mond auch nicht mehr leuchten können.11„Ich werde die ganze Erde bestrafen, weil sie überall total link drauf sind. Die Leute, die ohne mich, ihren Gott, leben, werden ihre Schulden bezahlen müssen. Die Menschen, die immer dachten, sie wären die Geilen, werde ich von ihrem Sockel runterholen. Die Arroganz der Anführer von Regimen werde ich komplett runtermachen.12Von den Menschen werde ich nur ein paar übrig lassen. Sie werden so selten sein wie besonders reines Gold. Es wird noch weniger Menschen geben als Gold aus der Gegend von Ofir.13Darum wird es im Universum mal so richtig knallen. Es wird derbe Erdbeben geben, weil ich, Gott, total sauer bin.“ Wenn Gott loslegt, wird sogar die Erde aus ihrer Umlaufbahn rausgeschleudert.14Wie aufgescheuchte Kaninchen oder wie eine Herde von Schafen, die keinen Hirten hat, so wird jeder seine Sachen packen und in das Land fliehen, wo er ursprünglich mal herkam.15Wer auf der Flucht gefasst wird, wird erschossen oder erstochen werden, je nachdem.16Man wird vor ihren Augen die eigenen Kinder töten. Ihre Häuser und Wohnungen werden geplündert, und ihre Frauen vergewaltigt man.17Gott sagt: „Ich werde die Armee von den Medern losschicken. Denen ist Geld egal, die kann man nicht bestechen.18Mit ihren Gewehren werden sie sogar Kinder erschießen. Sie werden keine Rücksicht auf Schwangere nehmen, es macht ihnen nichts aus, sogar Babys zu ermorden.“19So wird es Babylon am Ende genauso gehen, wie Gott es mit Sodom und Gomorrha auch gemacht hat. Das Schmuckstück vom ganzen Land, die schönste Stadt der Babylonier, wird komplett plattgemacht.20Sie wird so kaputt sein, dass man dort nie wieder wohnen kann. Nie mehr werden sich dort Menschen ansiedeln. Es wird auch keinen Zeltplatz dort geben, keine Feriensiedlung oder sonst was. Und Hirten werden ihre Schafe dort auch nicht mehr hinführen.21Nur Tiere, die sowieso in der Wüste leben, können es dort aushalten. Die zerfallenen Häuser werden von Elstern bewohnt. Nur noch Ratten und Mäuse werden dann dort Partys feiern.22Ausgesetzte Hunde werden in den leeren Regierungsgebäuden in die Ecken pissen. In den Villen wird es überall nach Urin stinken, weil dort die Hunde wohnen. Babylons Zeit ist bald abgelaufen. Es gibt keine Verlängerung.
