God Is Our Fortress

To the choirmaster. Of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A Song.

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Yas 4:7; Mez 9:9; Mez 14:6; Mez 145:18) 

2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth give way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, (Mez 18:7; Hez 27:26) 

3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah (Mez 93:3; Mez 93:4; Yer 5:22) 

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. (Mez 36:8; Mez 43:3; Mez 48:1; Mez 65:9; Mez 84:1; Mez 87:3; Yşa 8:6; Yşa 33:21; Yşa 60:14; Va 22:1; Va 22:2)

8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has brought desolations on the earth. (Mez 66:5) 

9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. (1 Sa 2:4; Mez 76:3; Yşa 2:4; Hez 39:9; Mik 4:3)
