1 Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy! (1 Sa 10:24; 2 Kr 11:12; Mez 95:1; Yşa 55:12; Nah 3:19) 2 For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth. (Yas 7:21; Mez 66:3; Mez 66:5; Mez 68:35; Mal 1:14) 3 He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet. (Mez 18:47) 4 He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah (Mez 2:8; Amo 6:8; Amo 8:7; Nah 2:2; 1 Pe 1:4) 5 God has gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. (2 Sa 6:15; Mez 68:18) 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! 7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm![1] (Zek 14:9; 1 Ko 14:15) 8 God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne. (1 Ta 16:31; Mez 22:28) 9 The princes of the peoples gather as the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; he is highly exalted!
