1Das ist aber die Verordnung, die du befolgen sollst, um sie zu heiligen, damit sie mir als Priester dienen: Nimm einen Jungstier und zwei makellose Widder, (2Mo 28,3; 2Mo 28,41; 3Mo 8,2)2sowie ungesäuertes Brot und ungesäuerte Kuchen, mit Öl gemischt, und ungesäuerte Fladen, mit Öl gesalbt; aus Feinmehl vom Weizen sollst du alles machen; (3Mo 2,4; 3Mo 6,13)3und lege es in einen Korb und bringe es in dem Korb dar zusammen mit dem Jungstier und den beiden Widdern. (3Mo 8,2; 3Mo 8,26; 4Mo 6,17)4Dann sollst du Aaron und seine Söhne vor den Eingang der Stiftshütte führen und sie mit Wasser waschen. (2Mo 30,18; 2Mo 40,12; 3Mo 8,1; 3Mo 8,6; Hes 36,25; Eph 5,26; Hebr 10,22)5Und du sollst die Kleider nehmen und Aaron bekleiden mit dem Leibrock, und mit dem Obergewand zu dem Ephod, auch mit dem Ephod und dem Brustschild; und du sollst ihn gürten mit dem gewirkten Gürtel des Ephod; (2Mo 28,4; 2Mo 28,8; Offb 1,13)6und setze den Kopfbund auf sein Haupt, und hefte das heilige Diadem an den Kopfbund. (2Mo 28,36)7Und du sollst das Salböl nehmen und auf sein Haupt gießen und ihn salben. (2Mo 28,41; Ps 133,2)8Und seine Söhne sollst du auch herzubringen und ihnen die Leibröcke anlegen. (2Mo 28,40; 3Mo 8,13)9Und gürte sie, Aaron und seine Söhne, mit Gürteln, und binde ihnen die hohen Kopfbedeckungen um; und das Priestertum soll eine ewige Ordnung für sie sein. Auch sollst du Aaron und seinen Söhnen die Hände füllen. (4Mo 18,7; Hebr 5,4)10Danach sollst du den Jungstier herzubringen vor die Stiftshütte. Und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen ihre Hände auf den Kopf des Jungstieres stützen. (3Mo 1,4; 3Mo 3,2; 3Mo 16,21)11Und du sollst den Jungstier schächten vor dem HERRN, vor dem Eingang der Stiftshütte. (3Mo 8,15; 3Mo 9,8; 3Mo 9,12)12Und du sollst von dem Blut des Jungstieres nehmen und mit deinem Finger auf die Hörner des Altars tun, alles [übrige] Blut aber an den Fuß des Altars schütten. (3Mo 4,18; 3Mo 4,25; 3Mo 4,30; 3Mo 8,15)13Und du sollst alles Fett nehmen, das die Eingeweide bedeckt, und das Fett über dem Leberlappen und die beiden Nieren mit dem Fett, das daran ist, und sollst es auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen. (3Mo 3,3; 3Mo 4,8; 3Mo 9,10; 3Mo 16,25)14Aber Fleisch, Haut und Unrat des Jungstieres sollst du außerhalb des Lagers mit Feuer verbrennen; denn es ist ein Sündopfer. (3Mo 4,11; 3Mo 16,27; Hebr 13,11)15Danach sollst du den einen Widder nehmen, und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen ihre Hände auf den Kopf des Widders stützen. (2Mo 29,10; 2Mo 29,19; 3Mo 8,18; 3Mo 8,22)16Und du sollst den Widder schächten und von seinem Blut nehmen und an den Altar sprengen ringsumher. (2Mo 29,12)17Aber den Widder sollst du in Stücke zerlegen und seine Eingeweide und seine Schenkel waschen und sollst sie zu den Stücken und zu seinem Kopf legen (3Mo 1,8; 3Mo 8,20; 3Mo 9,13; Mt 23,26)18und auf dem Altar den ganzen Widder in Rauch aufgehen lassen; denn es ist ein Brandopfer für den HERRN; ein lieblicher Geruch, ein Feueropfer für den HERRN. (1Mo 8,21; 2Mo 29,25; 3Mo 1,9; 3Mo 1,17; Eph 5,2; Phil 4,18)19Ebenso sollst du den anderen Widder nehmen, und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen ihre Hände auf seinen Kopf stützen, (2Mo 29,15)20und du sollst den Widder schächten und von seinem Blut nehmen und es auf das rechte Ohrläppchen Aarons tun und auf das rechte Ohrläppchen seiner Söhne und auf den Daumen ihrer rechten Hand und auf die große Zehe ihres rechten Fußes; das [übrige] Blut aber sollst du ringsum auf den Altar sprengen. (3Mo 8,23; 3Mo 14,14; 3Mo 14,17; 3Mo 14,25; 3Mo 14,27)21Und nimm von dem Blut auf dem Altar und von dem Salböl und besprenge Aaron und seine Kleider und seine Söhne und ihre Kleider; und so wird er geheiligt sein samt seinen Kleidern und seine Söhne mit ihm samt ihren Kleidern. (2Mo 30,25; 2Mo 30,30; 2Kor 1,21)22Danach sollst du das Fett von dem Widder nehmen und den Fettschwanz und das Fett, das die Eingeweide bedeckt, das Fett über dem Leberlappen und die beiden Nieren mit dem Fett, das daran ist, und die rechte Schulter; denn es ist ein Widder der Einsetzung.23Und nimm einen Laib Brot und einen Ölbrotkuchen und einen Fladen aus dem Korb der ungesäuerten Brote, der vor dem HERRN steht, (2Mo 29,2)24und lege alles auf die Hände Aarons und auf die Hände seiner Söhne und webe es als ein Webopfer vor dem HERRN.[1] (3Mo 7,30)25Danach nimm es aus ihren Händen und lass es auf dem Altar über dem Brandopfer in Rauch aufgehen, als einen lieblichen Geruch vor dem HERRN; es ist ein Feueropfer für den HERRN. (2Mo 29,18)26Du sollst ferner die Brust nehmen von dem Widder der Einsetzung Aarons und sollst sie vor dem HERRN weben als ein Webopfer; und sie soll dein Anteil sein. (3Mo 8,29)27Und du sollst die Brust des Webopfers und die Schulter des Hebopfers heiligen, die gewebt und abgehoben worden sind von dem Widder der Einsetzung, von dem, was für Aaron und von dem, was für seine Söhne bestimmt ist. (3Mo 7,31; 3Mo 8,29; 3Mo 9,21; 3Mo 10,15; 4Mo 6,20; 4Mo 18,11; 4Mo 18,18; 5Mo 18,3)28Und das soll für Aaron und für seine Söhne bestimmt sein von den Kindern Israels, als eine ewige Ordnung; denn es ist ein Hebopfer, und es soll erhoben werden von den Kindern Israels, von ihren Friedensopfern, als ihr Hebopfer für den HERRN. (3Mo 7,31; 3Mo 10,15; 4Mo 18,8; 4Mo 18,11; 4Mo 18,18; 5Mo 18,3)29Und die heiligen Kleider Aarons sollen seine Söhne nach ihm bekommen, dass sie darin gesalbt und ihre Hände darin gefüllt werden. (4Mo 20,26)30Derjenige unter seinen Söhnen, der an seiner Stelle Priester wird, der in die Stiftshütte geht, um im Heiligtum zu dienen, der soll sie sieben Tage lang tragen. (1Mo 2,2; 1Mo 8,10; 2Mo 12,15; 2Mo 29,35; 3Mo 23,42; 4Mo 20,28; Jos 6,15; Hebr 7,26)31Du sollst aber den Widder der Einsetzung nehmen und sein Fleisch an einem heiligen Ort kochen. (2Mo 29,22; 2Mo 29,27; 2Mo 29,34; 3Mo 8,31; Hes 46,20)32Und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen das Fleisch des Widders essen samt dem Brot im Korb, vor dem Eingang der Stiftshütte. (2Mo 29,2; 2Mo 29,23; 3Mo 10,12; Mt 12,4)33Sie sollen das essen, womit die Sühnung für sie erwirkt wurde, als man ihre Hände füllte, um sie zu heiligen. Kein Fremder soll es essen, denn es ist heilig! (3Mo 10,16; 3Mo 22,10; 1Kor 11,23)34Wenn aber etwas von dem Fleisch der Einsetzung und von dem Brot bis zum Morgen übrig bleibt, so sollst du das Übrige mit Feuer verbrennen; es soll nicht gegessen werden, denn es ist heilig. (2Mo 12,10; 3Mo 7,15)35Und du sollst mit Aaron und seinen Söhnen so verfahren, wie ich es dir geboten habe. Sieben Tage sollst du ihre Hände füllen (2Mo 29,30; 2Mo 39,42; 2Mo 40,16; Joh 8,29; Joh 15,14)36und sollst täglich einen Jungstier als Sündopfer schlachten zur Sühnung; und du sollst den Altar entsündigen, indem du Sühnung für ihn erwirkst, und sollst ihn salben, damit er geheiligt wird. (3Mo 8,15; 4Mo 8,21; 4Mo 19,12; Ps 51,9; Hes 43,20; Hes 43,22; Hebr 9,22)37Sieben Tage sollst du für den Altar Sühnung erwirken und ihn heiligen, und der Altar wird hochheilig sein. Alles, was mit dem Altar in Berührung kommt, das wird heilig. (2Mo 30,29; Hes 43,26)
Das ständige Brandopfer
38Das ist es aber, was du auf dem Altar opfern sollst: Zwei einjährige Lämmer sollst du beständig [darauf opfern], Tag für Tag; (4Mo 28,3; 1Chr 16,40; 2Chr 2,4; 2Chr 13,11; Esr 3,3; Dan 9,27; Dan 12,11)39das eine Lamm sollst du am Morgen opfern, das andere Lamm sollst du zur Abendzeit opfern; (2Chr 13,11)40und zum ersten Lamm einen Zehntel Feinmehl, gemengt mit einem Viertel Hin Öl aus zerstoßenen Oliven und einem Viertel Hin Wein zum Trankopfer. (3Mo 2,4; 4Mo 15,4; 1Chr 23,29)41Das andere Lamm sollst du zur Abendzeit opfern; und mit dem Speis- und Trankopfer sollst du es halten wie am Morgen; [du sollst es opfern] als einen lieblichen Geruch, als ein Feueropfer für den HERRN. (2Mo 29,18; 1Kön 18,29; Esr 9,4; Ps 141,2; Dan 9,21; Apg 3,1)42Das soll das beständige Brandopfer sein für eure [künftigen] Geschlechter, vor dem HERRN, vor dem Eingang der Stiftshütte, wo ich mit euch zusammenkommen will, um dort zu dir zu reden. (2Mo 25,22; 2Mo 30,6; 2Mo 30,36; 4Mo 17,4; Hi 23,3)43Und ich werde dort zusammenkommen mit den Kindern Israels, und [die Stiftshütte] soll geheiligt werden durch meine Herrlichkeit. (2Mo 40,34; 2Chr 5,14; 2Chr 7,1; Hes 43,5; Apg 2,2)44Und ich will die Stiftshütte heiligen samt dem Altar; und ich will mir Aaron und seine Söhne heiligen, damit sie mir als Priester dienen. (2Mo 25,8; 2Mo 28,41)45Und ich will in der Mitte der Kinder Israels wohnen, und ich will ihr Gott sein. (2Mo 6,7; 2Mo 25,8; 3Mo 26,12; 4Mo 10,10; Ps 46,5; Hes 37,27; Sach 2,10; Sach 8,3; 2Kor 6,16; Offb 1,12)46Und sie sollen erkennen, dass ich, der HERR, ihr Gott bin, der sie aus dem Land Ägypten geführt hat, damit ich in ihrer Mitte wohne, ich, der HERR, ihr Gott. (2Mo 20,2; 5Mo 7,7)
1Folgendermaßen sollst du Aaron und seine Söhne für den Priesterdienst weihen: Nimm einen jungen Stier und zwei fehlerlose Widder. (3Mo 8,1)2Back aus feinem Weizenmehl und ohne Sauerteig Brot, Kuchen mit Olivenöl und mit Öl bestrichene Fladen. (3Mo 6,12)3Leg alles in einen Korb und bring ihn zusammen mit dem jungen Stier und den beiden Widdern her.4Lass Aaron und seine Söhne zum Eingang des Zeltes Gottes kommen und wasch sie mit Wasser. (2Mo 40,12; Hebr 10,22)5Zieh Aaron dann das Untergewand, das Obergewand, den Priesterschurz und die Brusttasche an und binde ihm den Gürtel des Priesterschurzes um. (2Mo 28,2)6Setz Aaron den Turban auf und befestige das goldene Stirnblatt daran. (2Mo 28,36)7Nimm anschließend das Salböl und salbe ihn, indem du es ihm über den Kopf gießt. (2Mo 28,41; 3Mo 8,12; Ps 133,2)8Lass danach seine Söhne zu dir kommen und zieh ihnen ihre Untergewänder an,9binde ihnen den Gürtel um und setz ihnen die Kopfbedeckungen auf. Von diesem Zeitpunkt an werden sie für immer Priester sein. So sollst du Aaron und seine Söhne in ihr Amt einsetzen. (2Mo 40,15; 4Mo 3,10; 4Mo 18,7; 4Mo 25,13; 5Mo 18,5)10Lass den jungen Stier zum Eingang des Zeltes Gottes bringen. Aaron und seine Söhne sollen ihm die Hände auf den Kopf legen. (3Mo 1,4; 3Mo 8,14)11Schlachte anschließend den Stier in der Gegenwart des HERRN am Eingang des Zeltes Gottes.12Streich etwas von dem Blut mit deinem Zeigefinger auf die Hörner des Altars und gieß den Rest am Fuß des Altars aus. (2Mo 27,2; 3Mo 8,15)13Nimm das ganze Fett, das die inneren Organe bedeckt, auch den Leberlappen und die beiden Nieren mit ihrem Fett, und verbrenn alles auf dem Altar. (3Mo 3,3)14Das Fleisch des Tieres, sein Fell und seine Eingeweide mitsamt ihrem Inhalt sollst du außerhalb des Lagers verbrennen, denn es ist ein Sündopfer. (3Mo 4,11; Hebr 13,11)15Lass danach einen der beiden Widder holen. Aaron und seine Söhne sollen dann ihre Hände auf den Kopf des Widders legen. (2Mo 29,10)16Schlachte ihn, nimm sein Blut und sprenge es ringsum an den Altar.17Der Widder soll zerteilt und seine inneren Organe und die Beine abgewaschen werden. Dann sollst du sie neben den Kopf und die anderen Stücke des Tieres legen18und das ganze Tier auf dem Altar verbrennen. Das ist ein Brandopfer für den HERRN, das ihm gefällt. (1Mo 8,21)19Nimm anschließend den anderen Widder. Auch ihm sollen Aaron und seine Söhne die Hände auf den Kopf legen.20Schlachte ihn, nimm etwas von seinem Blut und bestreiche damit das rechte Ohrläppchen von Aaron und seinen Söhnen, den Daumen ihrer rechten Hand und die große Zehe ihres rechten Fußes. Den Rest des Bluts sollst du ringsum an die Seiten des Altars sprengen.21Nimm etwas von dem Blut auf dem Altar und von dem Salböl und besprenge damit Aaron, seine Söhne und ihre Gewänder. Auf diese Weise sind sie und ihre Gewänder dem HERRN geweiht. (2Mo 30,25; Hebr 9,22)22Da dies der Widder für das Einsetzungsopfer von Aaron und seinen Söhnen ist, nimm das Fett des Widders – den Fettschwanz und das Fett, das die inneren Organe bedeckt, den Leberlappen und die beiden Nieren mit ihrem Fett sowie den rechten Schenkel.23Außerdem sollst du einen Laib Brot, einen Kuchen mit Öl und einen Fladen aus dem Korb mit den ungesäuerten Broten nehmen, der vor den HERRN gestellt wurde. (3Mo 8,26)24Leg all dies in die Hände von Aaron und seinen Söhnen, damit sie es als Weihegabe vor dem HERRN in einer symbolischen Opferhandlung hin und her schwingen. (3Mo 7,30)25Nimm dann alles wieder aus ihren Händen und verbrenn es auf dem Altar über dem Brandopfer als ein Opfer, das dem HERRN gefällt.26Nimm das Bruststück des Widders, der für die Priesterweihe Aarons geopfert wird, und schwing es als Weihegabe vor dem HERRN in einer symbolischen Opferhandlung hin und her. Danach darfst du das Fleisch als deinen Anteil behalten. (3Mo 7,31; 3Mo 8,29)27Du sollst das Bruststück und die Keule des Widders, die für das Einsetzungsopfer von Aaron und seinen Söhnen als Weihegabe vor dem HERRN hin und her geschwungen wurden, für heilig erklären. (3Mo 7,31; 4Mo 18,11; 5Mo 18,3)28Wann immer die Israeliten in Zukunft dem HERRN Friedensopfer darbringen, gehören diese Fleischstücke Aaron und seinen Söhnen als heilige Abgabe.29Aarons geheiligte Gewänder sollen später seine Nachfolger bekommen, damit sie in ihnen gesalbt und in das Hohepriesteramt eingesetzt werden können. (4Mo 20,26)30Diejenigen von Aarons Nachkommen, die nach ihm Priester werden, sollen diese Gewänder sieben Tage lang tragen, wenn sie beginnen, im Heiligtum Dienst zu tun. (3Mo 8,35)31Nimm den Widder, der als Einsetzungsopfer geschlachtet wurde, und koche sein Fleisch an einem heiligen Ort.32Dieses Fleisch sollen Aaron und seine Söhne zusammen mit dem Brot aus dem Korb am Eingang des Heiligtums essen.33Durch dieses Opfer wurden Aaron und seine Söhne mit mir versöhnt und in ihr Amt eingesetzt. Nur sie allein dürfen das Fleisch und das Brot essen, denn diese Stücke sind heilig. (3Mo 22,10)34Wenn am nächsten Morgen noch etwas vom Brot oder vom Fleisch des Einsetzungsopfers übrig ist, sollst du es verbrennen. Es darf nicht mehr gegessen werden, denn es ist heilig. (3Mo 8,32)35Du sollst alles genauso ausführen, wie ich es dir aufgetragen habe. Die Priesterweihe soll sieben Tage dauern.36Jeden Tag sollst du einen jungen Stier als Sündopfer darbringen und damit den Altar von aller Sünde reinigen; weihe dann den Altar, indem du ihn mit Öl salbst. (2Mo 40,10; Hebr 10,11)37Sieben Tage lang sollst du dies jeden Tag tun, damit der Altar vollkommen heilig wird. Jeder, der ihn berührt, ist geheiligt. (2Mo 40,10; Mt 23,19)
Die täglichen Opfer
38Opfere jeden Tag zwei einjährige Lämmer auf dem Altar, (4Mo 28,3; 4Mo 29,6; 1Chr 16,40; Dan 12,11)39eins am Morgen, das andere gegen Abend[1].40Opfere zusätzlich einen Krug[2] feinen Mehls, vermischt mit einer viertel Kanne[3] Öl aus zerstoßenen Oliven; und als Trankopfer eine viertel Kanne Wein.41Das andere Lamm sollst du gegen Abend opfern – dazu das gleiche Trank- und Speiseopfer wie am Morgen – als ein Opfer, das für den HERRN auf dem Altar verbrannt wird und das mir gefällt. (2Kön 16,15; Esr 9,4; Ps 141,2)42Dies soll ein tägliches Brandopfer sein, von Generation zu Generation. Opfere es mir am Eingang des Zeltes Gottes, wo ich euch begegnen und zu dir sprechen werde. (2Mo 30,8)43Dort will ich den Israeliten begegnen und das Zelt Gottes wird durch meine herrliche Gegenwart geheiligt sein. (1Kön 8,11)44Ja, ich will das Zelt Gottes und den Altar heiligen, auch Aaron und seine Söhne will ich heiligen, damit sie mir als Priester dienen können.45Ich werde mitten unter den Israeliten wohnen und ihr Gott sein. (2Mo 25,8; 3Mo 26,12; 4Mo 5,3; 5Mo 12,11; Sach 2,14; 2Kor 6,16; Offb 21,3)46Und sie werden erkennen, dass ich der HERR, ihr Gott, bin, der sie aus Ägypten geführt hat, damit ich bei ihnen wohnen kann. Ich bin der HERR, ihr Gott. (2Mo 20,2)

It is a burnt offering to the Lord. It is a pleasing aroma, a food offering[2] to the Lord. He and his garments shall be holy, and his sons and his sons’ garments with him. (2Mo 29,7)22“You shall also take the fat from the ram and the fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails, and the long lobe of the liver and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, and the right thigh (for it is a ram of ordination), (2Mo 29,13; 3Mo 7,37; 3Mo 8,28; 3Mo 8,31; 3Mo 8,33)23and one loaf of bread and one cake of bread made with oil, and one wafer out of the basket of unleavened bread that is before the Lord. (2Mo 29,2; 3Mo 8,26)24You shall put all these on the palms of Aaron and on the palms of his sons, and wave them for a wave offering before the Lord. (3Mo 7,30; 3Mo 8,27; 3Mo 8,29; 4Mo 5,25; 4Mo 6,20)25Then you shall take them from their hands and burn them on the altar on top of the burnt offering, as a pleasing aroma before the Lord. It is a food offering to the Lord. (2Mo 29,18; 2Mo 29,41; 3Mo 6,22; 3Mo 8,28)26“You shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s ordination and wave it for a wave offering before the Lord, and it shall be your portion. (2Mo 29,22; 2Mo 29,24; 3Mo 8,29)27And you shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering that is waved and the thigh of the priests’ portion that is contributed from the ram of ordination, from what was Aaron’s and his sons’. (2Mo 29,26; 3Mo 7,31; 3Mo 7,32; 3Mo 7,34; 3Mo 10,14; 3Mo 10,15; 4Mo 18,11; 4Mo 18,18)28It shall be for Aaron and his sons as a perpetual due from the people of Israel, for it is a contribution. It shall be a contribution from the people of Israel from their peace offerings, their contribution to the Lord. (2Mo 29,26; 3Mo 10,15)29“The holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him; they shall be anointed in them and ordained in them. (2Mo 29,9; 4Mo 18,8; 4Mo 20,26; 4Mo 20,28)30The son who succeeds him as priest, who comes into the tent of meeting to minister in the Holy Place, shall wear them seven days. (3Mo 8,33; 3Mo 8,35)31“You shall take the ram of ordination and boil its flesh in a holy place. (3Mo 8,31)32And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram and the bread that is in the basket in the entrance of the tent of meeting. (Mt 12,4)33They shall eat those things with which atonement was made at their ordination and consecration, but an outsider shall not eat of them, because they are holy. (3Mo 10,14; 3Mo 10,17; 3Mo 22,10)34And if any of the flesh for the ordination or of the bread remain until the morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire. It shall not be eaten, because it is holy. (3Mo 8,32)35“Thus you shall do to Aaron and to his sons, according to all that I have commanded you. Through seven days shall you ordain them, (3Mo 8,33)36and every day you shall offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement. Also you shall purify the altar, when you make atonement for it, and shall anoint it to consecrate it. (2Mo 29,14; 2Mo 30,10; 2Mo 30,26; 2Mo 30,28; 2Mo 40,10)37Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it, and the altar shall be most holy. Whatever touches the altar shall become holy. (2Mo 30,29; 2Mo 40,10; Mt 23,19)38“Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs a year old day by day regularly. (4Mo 28,3; 1Chr 16,40; 2Chr 2,4; 2Chr 13,11; 2Chr 31,3; Esr 3,3; Dan 8,11; Dan 9,27; Dan 12,11; Hebr 10,11)39One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight. (1Kön 18,29; 1Kön 18,36; 2Kön 16,15; Esr 9,4; Ps 141,2; Hes 46,13; Dan 9,21)40And with the first lamb a tenth measure[3] of fine flour mingled with a fourth of a hin[4] of beaten oil, and a fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering.41The other lamb you shall offer at twilight, and shall offer with it a grain offering and its drink offering, as in the morning, for a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the Lord. (2Mo 29,18; 2Mo 29,25; 2Mo 29,39; 2Mo 30,9; 2Mo 40,29)42It shall be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the Lord, where I will meet with you, to speak to you there. (2Mo 25,22; 4Mo 28,6)43There I will meet with the people of Israel, and it shall be sanctified by my glory. (2Mo 40,34; 1Kön 8,11; 2Chr 5,14; 2Chr 7,1; Hes 43,5; Hag 2,7; Hag 2,9; Mal 3,1)44I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar. Aaron also and his sons I will consecrate to serve me as priests. (3Mo 21,15; 3Mo 22,9; 3Mo 22,16)45I will dwell among the people of Israel and will be their God. (2Mo 25,8; 3Mo 26,12; Sach 2,10; 2Kor 6,16; Offb 21,3)46And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God. (2Mo 20,2)
1‘Here is what you must do to set apart Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests. Get a young bull and two rams. They must not have any flaws.2Get the finest wheat flour. Make round loaves of bread that do not have yeast in them. Make thick loaves of bread that do not have yeast in them. Mix olive oil into the thick loaves of bread. Also make thin loaves of bread that do not have yeast in them. Brush the thin loaves with olive oil.3Put everything in a basket. Offer them along with the bull and the two rams.4Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the tent of meeting. Wash them with water.5Take the inner robe, the outer robe of the linen apron, the apron itself and the chest cloth. Dress Aaron in them. Take the skilfully made waistband and tie the apron on him with it.6Put the turban on his head. Connect the sacred plate to the turban.7Take the anointing oil and pour it on his head.8Bring his sons and dress them in their inner robes.9Put caps on their heads. Tie belts on Aaron and his sons. The work of the priests belongs to them. This is my law that will last for all time to come. ‘Then you must prepare Aaron and his sons to serve me.10‘Bring the bull to the front of the tent of meeting. Have Aaron and his sons place their hands on its head.11Kill it in front of the LORD at the entrance to the tent of meeting.12Dip your finger into some of the bull’s blood. Put it on the horns that stick out from the upper four corners of the altar. Pour the rest of it out at the base of the altar.13Then take all the fat on the inside parts. Take the long part of the liver. Get both kidneys with the fat on them. And burn all of it on the altar.14But burn the bull’s meat, hide and guts outside the camp. It is a sin offering.15‘Get one of the rams. Have Aaron and his sons place their hands on its head.16Kill it. Take the blood and splash it against the sides of the altar.17Cut the ram into pieces. Wash the inside parts and the legs. Put them with the head and the other pieces.18Then burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to me. It has a pleasant smell. It is a food offering presented to the LORD.19‘Get the other ram. Have Aaron and his sons place their hands on its head.20Kill it. Put some of its blood on the right earlobes of Aaron and his sons. Put some on the thumbs of their right hands. Also put some on the big toes of their right feet. Then splash the blood against the sides of the altar.21Get some of the blood from the altar. Also get some of the anointing oil. Sprinkle both of them on Aaron and his clothes and on his sons and their clothes. Then he and his sons and their clothes will be set apart to serve the LORD.22‘Here is what you must take from this second ram. Take the fat, the fat tail and the fat around the inside parts. Take the long part of the liver. Also take both kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh. It is the ram you must use when you prepare the priests to serve the LORD.23Get one round loaf of bread and one thick loaf of bread with olive oil mixed in. Also get one thin loaf of bread. Take them from the basket of bread made without yeast. It is the one in front of the LORD.24Put all these things in the hands of Aaron and his sons. Tell them to lift them up and wave them in front of the LORD as a wave offering.25Then take all these things from their hands. Burn them on the altar along with the burnt offering. Its smell pleases the LORD. It is a food offering presented to the LORD.26Get the breast of the ram used when you prepare Aaron to serve the LORD. Wave it in front of the LORD as a wave offering. It will be your share of the meat.27‘Here are the parts of the second ram that belong to Aaron and his sons. You must set apart the breast that was waved and the thigh that was offered.28It will be the regular share from the Israelites for Aaron and his sons. The people must give it to the LORD from their friendship offerings.29‘Aaron’s sacred clothes will belong to his sons who will come after him. Then they can wear them when you anoint them and prepare them to serve the LORD.30The son who comes after Aaron as priest must wear them seven days. He will come and serve in the Holy Room in the tent of meeting.31‘Get the ram sacrificed when you prepare Aaron and his sons to serve the LORD. Cook the meat in a sacred place.32Aaron and his sons must eat the ram’s meat. And they must eat the bread in the basket. They must eat all of it at the entrance to the tent of meeting.33These are the offerings to pay for their sins. They must eat them. The offerings must be made when Aaron and his sons are set apart and prepared to serve the LORD. No one else can eat them. They are sacred.34When you prepare Aaron and his sons to serve me, you will sacrifice the ram and the bread. If any parts of the ram or bread are left until morning, burn them up. They must not be eaten. They are sacred.35‘Do everything I have commanded you to do for Aaron and his sons. Take seven days when you prepare them to serve the LORD.36Sacrifice a bull each day. It is a sin offering to pay for their sins. Make the altar pure. Pour olive oil on it to set it apart.37Take seven days to make the altar pure. Set it apart. Then the altar will be a very holy place. Anything that touches it will be holy.38‘Every day sacrifice on the altar two lambs that are a year old.39Sacrifice one in the morning and the other one when the sun goes down.40Along with the first lamb, offer 1.5 kilograms of fine flour. Mix it with a litre of oil made from pressed olives. Along with that, sacrifice a litre of wine as a drink offering.41Sacrifice the other lamb when the sun goes down. Sacrifice it along with the same grain offering and its drink offering as you do in the morning. It has a pleasant smell. It is a food offering presented to the LORD.42‘For all time to come, this burnt offering must be sacrificed regularly. Sacrifice it at the entrance to the tent of meeting in front of the LORD. There I will meet with you and speak to you.43There I will also meet with the people of Israel. My glory will make the place holy.44‘So I will set apart the tent of meeting and the altar. And I will set apart Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests.45Then I will live among the people of Israel. And I will be their God.46They will know that I am the LORD their God. They will know that I brought them out of Egypt so I could live among them. I am the LORD their God.
