1Und du sollst einen Altar anfertigen, um Räucherwerk darauf zu räuchern; aus Akazienholz sollst du ihn machen. (2Mo 30,27; 2Mo 37,25; 2Mo 40,5; Hebr 9,4)2Eine Elle lang und eine Elle breit soll er sein, viereckig, und zwei Ellen hoch, und seine Hörner sollen aus einem Stück mit ihm sein. (2Mo 37,25)3Und du sollst ihn mit reinem Gold überziehen, seine Platte und seine Wände ringsum und seine Hörner, und sollst ihm ringsum einen goldenen Kranz machen; (2Mo 35,11; 2Mo 35,24)4und mache ihm zwei goldene Ringe unter dem Kranz; an seinen beiden Seiten sollst du sie anbringen, an seinen beiden Wänden, und sie sollen die Tragstangen aufnehmen, dass man ihn damit tragen kann. (2Mo 37,27)5Und die Tragstangen sollst du aus Akazienholz machen und sie mit Gold überziehen. (2Mo 37,28)6Und du sollst ihn vor den Vorhang stellen, der vor der Lade des Zeugnisses hängt, und vor den Sühnedeckel, der auf dem Zeugnis ist, wo ich mit dir zusammenkommen will. (2Mo 25,22; 2Mo 26,31)7Und Aaron soll wohlriechendes Räucherwerk auf ihm räuchern, Morgen für Morgen; wenn er die Lampen zurichtet, soll er es räuchern. (2Mo 27,21; 2Mo 30,34; 1Sam 2,28; 1Chr 23,13; Lk 1,9; Offb 5,8; Offb 8,3)8Und auch wenn Aaron zur Abendzeit die Lampen zurichtet, soll er es räuchern. Es soll ein beständiges Räucherwerk sein vor dem HERRN bei euren [künftigen] Geschlechtern. (Ps 141,2)9Ihr sollt kein fremdes Räucherwerk auf ihm darbringen und auch kein Brandopfer, kein Speisopfer; und ihr sollt kein Trankopfer auf ihm ausgießen. (3Mo 10,1)10Aber einmal im Jahr soll Aaron auf seinen Hörnern Sühnung erwirken; mit dem Blut des Sündopfers der Versöhnung soll er einmal jährlich darauf Sühnung erwirken für eure Geschlechter; er ist dem HERRN hochheilig. (3Mo 16,17; Hebr 9,7; Hebr 9,25)
Das Lösegeld für die Israeliten
11Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:12Wenn du die Zahl der Kinder Israels ermittelst, alle, die gezählt werden, so soll jeder dem HERRN ein Lösegeld für seine Seele geben, wenn man sie zählt, damit nicht eine Plage über sie kommt, wenn sie gezählt werden. (4Mo 1,1; 4Mo 3,40; 4Mo 26,2; Ps 49,8; Mt 20,28; 1Petr 1,18)13Jeder, der durch die Zählung geht, soll einen halben Schekel geben, nach dem Schekel des Heiligtums (ein Schekel gilt 20 Gera) — einen halben Schekel als Hebopfer für den HERRN. (3Mo 27,25; 4Mo 3,47)14Jeder, der durch die Zählung geht im Alter von 20 Jahren und darüber, der soll dem HERRN das Hebopfer geben. (4Mo 18,8; 4Mo 18,19; 4Mo 18,26; Hes 20,40)15Der Reiche soll nicht mehr geben und der Arme nicht weniger als einen halben Schekel, wenn ihr dem HERRN das Hebopfer gebt, um Sühnung zu erwirken für eure Seelen. (Hi 34,19; Spr 22,2; Röm 3,22; 1Kor 4,7)16Und du sollst das Sühnegeld von den Kindern Israels nehmen und es für den Dienst der Stiftshütte geben, dass es den Kindern Israels zum Gedenken sei vor dem HERRN, um Sühnung zu erwirken für eure Seelen. (2Mo 38,25)
Das eherne Becken
17Weiter redete der HERR mit Mose und sprach:18Du sollst auch ein ehernes Becken machen mit einem ehernen Gestell, zum Waschen, und du sollst es aufstellen zwischen der Stiftshütte und dem Altar, und Wasser hineingießen. (2Mo 38,8; 2Chr 4,2)19Und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen aus ihm ihre Hände und Füße waschen. (2Mo 40,31; Ps 26,6; Joh 13,8; Hebr 10,22)20Wenn sie in die Stiftshütte gehen wollen, so sollen sie sich mit Wasser waschen, damit sie nicht sterben; ebenso wenn sie zum Altar nahen, um zu dienen und ein Feueropfer dem HERRN in Rauch aufgehen zu lassen. (2Mo 40,31; 2Sam 12,20)21Und zwar sollen sie ihre Hände und ihre Füße waschen, damit sie nicht sterben. Das soll eine ewig gültige Ordnung für sie sein, für ihn und seinen Samen, für ihre [künftigen] Geschlechter. (2Mo 27,21; 2Mo 28,43)
Das heilige Salböl und das Räucherwerk
22Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:23Nimm du dir auserlesene Spezerei: 500 Schekel feinste Myrrhe und halb so viel wohlriechenden Zimt, 250 [Schekel], und wohlriechenden Kalmus, auch 250, (1Mo 37,25; Ps 45,9; Spr 7,17; Hl 4,14; Mt 2,11)24dazu 500 [Schekel] Kassia, nach dem Schekel des Heiligtums, und ein Hin Olivenöl; (Ps 45,9)25und mache daraus ein heiliges Salböl, eine Mischung von Gewürzsalbe, nach der Kunst des Salbenbereiters gemischt; ein heiliges Salböl soll es sein. (2Mo 31,11; 2Mo 37,29; Ps 89,21; Ps 133,2)26Und du sollst damit die Stiftshütte und die Lade des Zeugnisses salben, (2Mo 40,9; 3Mo 8,10; 4Mo 7,1; 4Mo 7,10; Jes 61,1; Apg 10,38)27sowie den Tisch mit allen seinen Geräten und den Leuchter mit seinen Geräten, und den Räucheraltar,28und den Brandopferaltar mit allen seinen Geräten und das Becken mit seinem Gestell.29Und du sollst sie heiligen, damit sie hochheilig seien; alles, was damit in Berührung kommt, wird heilig sein.[1] (2Mo 29,37; 2Mo 40,9; 3Mo 8,10; 4Mo 7,1)30Auch Aaron und seine Söhne sollst du salben und sie heiligen, damit sie mir als Priester dienen. (2Mo 29,7)31Und du sollst zu den Kindern Israels sagen: Das soll mir ein heiliges Salböl sein für alle eure [künftigen] Geschlechter!32Es soll nicht auf das Fleisch irgendeines Menschen gegossen werden; ihr sollt auch in der gleichen Zusammensetzung keines machen; es ist heilig, darum soll es euch heilig sein. (Mt 7,6)33Wer etwas Derartiges zusammenmischt oder einem Fremden davon gibt, der soll ausgerottet werden aus seinem Volk! (2Mo 30,38; 3Mo 7,20; 3Mo 7,27; 3Mo 17,10; 3Mo 20,3; 3Mo 23,29; 4Mo 19,20)34Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Nimm dir Spezerei: Harz, Räucherklaue und Galbanum, wohlriechendes Gewürz und reinen Weihrauch, zu gleichen Teilen,35und bereite Räucherwerk daraus, nach der Kunst des Salbenbereiters gemischt, gesalzen, rein und heilig. (2Mo 37,29; 3Mo 2,13; 1Chr 9,29; Mk 9,49; Kol 4,6)36Und zerreibe etwas davon ganz fein und lege etwas davon vor das Zeugnis in die Stiftshütte, wo ich mit dir zusammenkommen will. Das soll euch hochheilig sein. (2Mo 30,6; 3Mo 16,12)37Und was das Räucherwerk betrifft, das du bereiten sollst, so sollt ihr in der gleichen Zusammensetzung für euch selbst keines machen, sondern es soll dir heilig sein für den HERRN. (2Mo 29,37; 2Mo 30,32; 3Mo 2,3)38Wer es nachmacht, um daran zu riechen, der soll ausgerottet werden aus seinem Volk! (2Mo 30,33)
1Fertige einen Altar aus Akazienholz an, um Weihrauch als Räucheropfer darauf zu verbrennen. (2Mo 37,1; 1Kön 6,20; Offb 8,3)2Er soll eine Elle lang, eine Elle breit und zwei Ellen hoch[1] sein. Der Altar und seine Hörner sollen aus einem Stück gefertigt sein.3Überziehe den Altar, seine Platte, seine Seitenwände und die Hörner mit reinem Gold; rings um den ganzen Altar soll eine goldene Zierleiste verlaufen.4Befestige an den beiden gegenüberliegenden Seiten des Altars unterhalb der Zierleiste zwei goldene Ringe für die Tragstangen.5Die Stangen sollen aus Akazienholz gefertigt und mit Gold überzogen werden.6Stell den Räucheraltar vor dem Vorhang auf, hinter dem sich die Bundeslade mit den Gesetzestafeln und der Deckplatte darauf befindet, wo ich euch begegne. (2Mo 25,21)7Jeden Morgen, wenn Aaron die Lampen herrichtet, soll er Weihrauch auf dem Altar verbrennen. (2Mo 27,21; 2Mo 30,34; 1Sam 2,28; Lk 1,9)8Und jedes Mal, wenn er gegen Abend[2] die Lampen anzündet, soll er wieder Weihrauch verbrennen. Ihr sollt regelmäßig Räucheropfer vor mir verbrennen. Das gilt für euch und für alle eure Nachkommen.9Bringt kein anderes Räucheropfer auf dem Altar dar, auch keine Brandopfer, Speiseopfer oder Trankopfer.10Einmal im Jahr soll Aaron den Altar reinigen, indem er etwas von dem Blut des Sündopfers an die Hörner des Altars streicht. Jedes Jahr soll der Altar so gereinigt werden, von Generation zu Generation, denn er ist besonders heilig.« (3Mo 16,8)
Abgabe für das Zelt Gottes
11Und der HERR sprach zu Mose:12»Wenn du die wehrfähigen Männer in Israel zählst, soll jeder Gemusterte dem HERRN ein Lösegeld für sein Leben zahlen. Dann wird während der Musterung keine Seuche unter den Israeliten ausbrechen. (2Mo 38,25; 4Mo 26,2; 2Sam 24,1; Mt 20,28)13Bei der Musterung soll jeder einen halben Schekel[3] – nach dem Gewicht, das im Heiligtum gilt, 20 Gera der Schekel – als Abgabe für den HERRN bezahlen. (Mt 17,24)14Jeder, der 20 Jahre und älter ist und gemustert wird, soll dem HERRN diese Abgabe bezahlen.15Ein Reicher soll nicht mehr und ein Armer nicht weniger als einen halben Schekel als Lösegeld für sein Leben geben. (Spr 22,2)16Verwende das Geld für den Dienst im Zelt Gottes. Dadurch werde ich stets an euch denken und eure Schuld von euch nehmen.«
Das Wasserbecken
17Und der HERR sprach zu Mose:18»Fertige ein bronzenes Becken mit einem bronzenen Untergestell an. Stell es zwischen dem Zelt Gottes und dem Altar auf und füll Wasser hinein, (2Mo 38,8; 2Mo 40,7)19damit Aaron und seine Söhne ihre Hände und Füße waschen können. (2Mo 40,31)20Bevor sie das Zelt Gottes betreten, sollen sie sich jedes Mal mit Wasser waschen, damit sie nicht sterben. Genauso, wenn sie sich dem Altar nähern, um für den HERRN ein Opfer zu verbrennen.21Diese Vorschrift gilt für Aaron und seine Nachkommen für alle Zeiten.« (2Mo 28,43)
Das Salböl
22Dann sprach der HERR zu Mose:23»Nimm ausgewählte Gewürze: 500 Schekel reine Myrrhe, je 250 Schekel[4] wohlriechenden Zimt und Ingwer,24500 Schekel Kassia, gewogen nach dem Gewicht des Heiligtums, und eine Kanne[5] Olivenöl.25Stelle daraus ein heiliges Salböl her. Damit sollen Personen oder Gegenstände bei ihrer Weihe gesalbt werden. (2Mo 37,29; 2Mo 40,9)26Salbe mit diesem Öl das Zelt Gottes und die Bundeslade, (3Mo 8,10; 4Mo 7,1)27den Tisch für die Schaubrote mit allen seinen Geräten, den Leuchter samt seinen Geräten, den Räucheraltar,28den Brandopferaltar und alle seine Geräte sowie das Wasserbecken mit seinem Untergestell.29Heilige sie, damit sie vollkommen heilig werden. Jeder, der dann diese Gegenstände berührt, soll geheiligt sein. (2Mo 29,37)30Mit diesem Öl sollst du auch Aaron und seine Söhne salben, um sie auf diese Weise für ihr Priesteramt zu weihen. (3Mo 8,2)31Sag den Israeliten: ›Dies soll für immer ausschließlich mein heiliges Salböl sein.32Es darf niemals über den Körper eines gewöhnlichen Menschen ausgegossen werden und ihr dürft es niemals in dieser Zusammensetzung für euren eigenen Gebrauch herstellen. Dieses Salböl ist heilig und es soll euch als heilig gelten.33Wer ein Öl wie dieses mischt oder irgendeinen Menschen damit salbt, wird aus dem Volk ausgestoßen und muss sterben.‹« (1Mo 17,14; 2Mo 12,15; 3Mo 7,20)
Das Räucheropfer
34Der HERR sprach zu Mose: »Nimm diese wohlriechenden Gewürze: Stakte[6], Räucherklaue, Galbanum und reinen Weihrauch. Misch sie zu gleichen Teilen zusammen und35füge etwas Salz dazu, sodass du ein reines und heiliges Weihrauchgemisch erhältst.36Zerstoße einen Teil davon zu feinem Pulver und lege es vor die Bundeslade im Heiligtum, wo ich dir begegnen werde. Dieses Weihrauchgemisch soll für euch besonders heilig sein. (2Mo 29,42; 3Mo 2,3)37Stelle das Weihrauchgemisch in dieser Zusammensetzung niemals für deinen eigenen Gebrauch her. Es ist für den HERRN geheiligt.38Wer es herstellt, um daran zu riechen, wird aus dem Volk ausgestoßen und muss sterben.«

It shall be square, and two cubits shall be its height. Its horns shall be of one piece with it. (2Mo 27,2)3You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top and around its sides and its horns. And you shall make a molding of gold around it. (2Mo 39,38; 2Mo 40,5; 2Mo 40,26; 4Mo 4,11)4And you shall make two golden rings for it. Under its molding on two opposite sides of it you shall make them, and they shall be holders for poles with which to carry it. (2Mo 25,27)5You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.6And you shall put it in front of the veil that is above the ark of the testimony, in front of the mercy seat that is above the testimony, where I will meet with you. (2Mo 25,21)7And Aaron shall burn fragrant incense on it. Every morning when he dresses the lamps he shall burn it, (2Mo 27,20; 2Mo 30,34; 2Mo 31,11; 2Mo 37,29; 2Mo 40,27; 1Sam 2,28; 1Chr 23,13; 2Chr 2,4; 2Chr 29,11; Lk 1,9)8and when Aaron sets up the lamps at twilight, he shall burn it, a regular incense offering before the Lord throughout your generations.9You shall not offer unauthorized incense on it, or a burnt offering, or a grain offering, and you shall not pour a drink offering on it. (3Mo 10,1)10Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once a year. With the blood of the sin offering of atonement he shall make atonement for it once in the year throughout your generations. It is most holy to the Lord.” (2Mo 29,36; 3Mo 16,18; 3Mo 23,27)
The Census Tax
11The Lord said to Moses,12“When you take the census of the people of Israel, then each shall give a ransom for his life to the Lord when you number them, that there be no plague among them when you number them. (2Mo 21,30; 4Mo 1,2; 4Mo 26,2; 4Mo 31,50; 2Sam 24,2; Ps 49,7)13Each one who is numbered in the census shall give this: half a shekel[2] according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs),[3] half a shekel as an offering to the Lord. (1Mo 24,22; 2Mo 38,24; 2Mo 38,26; 3Mo 5,15; 3Mo 27,3; 3Mo 27,25; 4Mo 3,47; 4Mo 18,16; Hes 45,12; Mt 17,24)14Everyone who is numbered in the census, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the Lord’s offering.15The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when you give the Lord’s offering to make atonement for your lives. (2Mo 30,13)16You shall take the atonement money from the people of Israel and shall give it for the service of the tent of meeting, that it may bring the people of Israel to remembrance before the Lord, so as to make atonement for your lives.” (2Mo 28,12; 2Mo 38,25; 2Mo 39,7; 4Mo 16,40)
The Bronze Basin
17The Lord said to Moses,18“You shall also make a basin of bronze, with its stand of bronze, for washing. You shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it, (2Mo 40,7; 2Mo 40,30; 1Kön 7,38)19with which Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet. (2Mo 40,31; Ps 26,6; Jes 52,11; Hebr 10,22)20When they go into the tent of meeting, or when they come near the altar to minister, to burn a food offering[4] to the Lord, they shall wash with water, so that they may not die.21They shall wash their hands and their feet, so that they may not die. It shall be a statute forever to them, even to him and to his offspring throughout their generations.” (2Mo 27,21)
The Anointing Oil and Incense
22The Lord said to Moses,23“Take the finest spices: of liquid myrrh 500 shekels, and of sweet-smelling cinnamon half as much, that is, 250, and 250 of aromatic cane, (Hl 4,14; Hes 27,19; Hes 27,22)24and 500 of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a hin[5] of olive oil. (2Mo 29,40)25And you shall make of these a sacred anointing oil blended as by the perfumer; it shall be a holy anointing oil. (2Mo 37,29; 4Mo 35,25; Ps 89,20; Ps 133,2)26With it you shall anoint the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony, (2Mo 40,9; 3Mo 8,10; 4Mo 7,1)27and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense,28and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils and the basin and its stand. (2Mo 40,11)29You shall consecrate them, that they may be most holy. Whatever touches them will become holy. (2Mo 29,37)30You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may serve me as priests. (2Mo 29,7)31And you shall say to the people of Israel, ‘This shall be my holy anointing oil throughout your generations.32It shall not be poured on the body of an ordinary person, and you shall make no other like it in composition. It is holy, and it shall be holy to you. (2Mo 30,25; 2Mo 30,37)33Whoever compounds any like it or whoever puts any of it on an outsider shall be cut off from his people.’” (2Mo 30,38)34The Lord said to Moses, “Take sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, sweet spices with pure frankincense (of each shall there be an equal part), (2Mo 25,6; 2Mo 30,7; 2Mo 37,29)35and make an incense blended as by the perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy. (2Mo 30,25; 3Mo 2,13)36You shall beat some of it very small, and put part of it before the testimony in the tent of meeting where I shall meet with you. It shall be most holy for you. (2Mo 25,22; 2Mo 40,10)37And the incense that you shall make according to its composition, you shall not make for yourselves. It shall be for you holy to the Lord. (2Mo 30,32)38Whoever makes any like it to use as perfume shall be cut off from his people.” (2Mo 30,33)
1‘Make an altar for burning incense. Make it out of acacia wood.2It must be half a metre square and 1 metre high. Make a horn stick out from each of its upper four corners.3Cover the top, sides and horns with pure gold. Put a strip of gold around it.4Make two gold rings for the altar below the strip. Put the rings opposite each other. They will hold the poles that are used to carry it.5Make the poles out of acacia wood. Cover them with gold.6Put the altar in front of the curtain that hangs in front of the ark. The ark is where the tablets of the covenant law are kept. The ark will have a cover. It will be the place where sin is paid for. There I will meet with you.7‘Aaron must burn sweet-smelling incense on the altar. He must do it every morning when he takes care of the lamps.8He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at sunset. Incense must be burned regularly in front of the LORD. Do it for all time to come.9Do not burn any other incense on the altar. Do not use the altar for burnt offerings or grain offerings. And do not pour drink offerings on it.10Once a year Aaron must put the blood of a sin offering on the horns of the altar. He must do this to make the altar pure. He must do this on the day Israel’s sin is paid for. Do this for all time to come. The altar is a very holy place to me.’
Money to pay for the people’s lives
11Then the LORD spoke to Moses. He said,12‘Make a list of the Israelites and count them. When you do, each one must pay the LORD for his life at the time he is counted. Then a plague will not come on them when you count them.13Each one counted must pay 6 grams of silver. It must be weighed out in keeping with the standard weights that are used in the sacred tent. The payment is an offering to the LORD.14Each one counted must be 20 years old or more. He must give an offering to the LORD.15When you make the offering, rich people must not give more than 6 grams of silver. And poor people must not give less. The offering you give to the LORD will pay for your lives.16Receive the money from the people of Israel. Use it for any purpose in the tent of meeting. It will remind the people that they are paying me for their lives.’
The large bowl for washing
17Then the LORD spoke to Moses. He said,18‘Make a large bronze bowl for washing. Make a bronze stand to put it on. Place the bowl between the tent of meeting and the altar. Put water in it.19Aaron and his sons must wash their hands and feet with water from it.20When they enter the tent of meeting, they must wash with water so that they will not die. They will come to the altar to serve me. They will bring a food offering to the LORD.21When they do, they must wash their hands and feet so that they will not die. For all time to come, that will be a law for Aaron and the priests in his family line.’
Anointing oil
22Then the LORD said to Moses,23‘Get some fine spices. Get 6 kilograms of liquid myrrh. Get 3 kilograms of sweet-smelling cinnamon and the same amount of sweet-smelling calamus.24Also get 6 kilograms of cassia. All the spices must be weighed out in keeping with the standard weights that are used in the sacred tent. And get 4 litres of olive oil.25Have a person who makes perfume mix everything into a sacred anointing oil. It will smell sweet.26Then use it to anoint the tent of meeting and the ark where the tablets of the covenant law are kept.27Anoint the table for the holy bread and all its things. Anoint the lampstand and the things that are used with it. Anoint the altar for burning incense.28Anoint the altar for burnt offerings and all its tools. And anoint the large bowl together with its stand.29You must set them apart so that they will be very holy. Anything that touches them will be holy.30‘Anoint Aaron and his sons. Set them apart so that they can serve me as priests.31Say to the people of Israel, “This will be my sacred anointing oil for all time to come.32Do not pour it on anyone else’s body. Do not make any other oil in the same way. It is sacred. So you must think of it as sacred.33Suppose a person makes perfume in the same way. And suppose that person puts it on someone who is not a priest. Then that person must be separated from their people.” ’
Incense
34Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Get some sweet-smelling spices. Get some gum resin, onycha and galbanum. Also get some pure frankincense. Make sure everything is in equal amounts.35Have a person who makes perfume mix it all up into a sweet-smelling incense. It must have salt in it. It will be pure and sacred.36Grind some of it into powder. Place it in front of the ark of the covenant law in the tent of meeting. There I will meet with you. The incense will be very holy to you.37Do not make any incense for yourselves in the same way. Think of it as holy to the LORD.38Whoever makes incense in the same way to enjoy its sweet smell must be separated from their people.’
