1Am Ende von sieben Jahren sollst du einen Schuldenerlass anordnen. (3Mo 25,2; 5Mo 31,10; Jer 34,14)2Dies ist aber die Ordnung des Erlasses: Jeder Schuldherr soll das Darlehen seiner Hand erlassen, das er seinem Nächsten geliehen hat; er soll seinen Nächsten oder seinen Bruder nicht bedrängen; denn man hat einen Schuldenerlass des HERRN ausgerufen. (Neh 5,7)3Einen Fremden kannst du bedrängen; aber was du bei deinem Bruder [ausstehen] hast, das soll deine Hand erlassen. (3Mo 26,3; 5Mo 26,14; 1Tim 4,8)6Denn der HERR, dein Gott, wird dich segnen, wie er es dir verheißen hat. So wirst du vielen Völkern leihen, du aber wirst dir nichts leihen müssen; du wirst über viele Völker herrschen, sie aber werden nicht über dich herrschen. (3Mo 25,35; Ps 112,5; Mt 5,42; Lk 6,35; Gal 6,10)9Hüte dich, dass kein Belialsrat[1] in deinem Herzen ist und du nicht denkst: »Das siebte Jahr, das Erlassjahr, naht!«, und du deinen armen Bruder missgünstig ansiehst und ihm nichts gibst; sonst würde er deinetwegen zum HERRN schreien, und es wäre eine Sünde für dich; (2Mo 22,23; 5Mo 24,15; Ps 141,4; Spr 4,23; Spr 14,21; Mk 7,21; Jak 4,17)10sondern du sollst ihm willig geben, und dein Herz soll nicht verdrießlich sein, wenn du ihm gibst; denn dafür wird der HERR, dein Gott, dich segnen in all deinem Tun und in allem, was du unternimmst. (5Mo 14,29; Ps 1,3; Spr 22,9; Apg 20,35; 2Kor 9,6)11Denn der Arme wird nicht aus dem Land verschwinden; darum gebiete ich dir: Tue deine Hand weit auf für deinen Bruder, für den Elenden und den Armen bei dir in deinem Land! Über die Freilassung hebräischer Sklaven
12Wenn dein Bruder, ein Hebräer oder eine Hebräerin, sich dir verkauft hat, so soll er dir sechs Jahre lang dienen, und im siebten Jahr sollst du ihn als Freien entlassen. (2Mo 21,2; 3Mo 25,41; Jer 34,14)13Und wenn du ihn als Freien entlässt, so sollst du ihn nicht mit leeren Händen ziehen lassen; (1Mo 31,42; 2Mo 3,21; Spr 3,27)14sondern du sollst ihn reichlich von deiner Herde und von deiner Tenne und von deiner Kelter ausstatten und ihm geben von dem, womit der HERR, dein Gott, dich gesegnet hat. (Ps 112,9; Spr 10,22; Mt 7,12)15Und denke daran, dass du ein Knecht warst im Land Ägypten und dass der HERR, dein Gott, dich erlöst hat; darum gebiete ich dir heute diese Dinge. (5Mo 5,15; 5Mo 16,12)16Wenn er aber zu dir sagt: »Ich will nicht von dir wegziehen!«, weil er dich und dein Haus lieb hat und es ihm gut geht bei dir, (2Mo 21,5)17so nimm einen Pfriem[2] und durchbohre ihm sein Ohr an der Tür, und er sei auf ewig dein Knecht; und mit deiner Magd sollst du ebenso verfahren. (2Mo 21,5)18Es soll dir nicht schwer fallen, ihn als Freien zu entlassen; denn das Doppelte des Lohnes eines Tagelöhners hat er dir sechs Jahre lang erarbeitet; so wird der HERR, dein Gott, dich segnen in allem, was du tust. Die Erstgeburt der Tiere
19Alle männliche Erstgeburt, die unter deinen Rindern und deinen Schafen geboren wird, sollst du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, heiligen. Du sollst das Erstgeborene deines Rindes nicht zur Arbeit gebrauchen und das Erstgeborene deiner Schafe nicht scheren; (2Mo 13,2; 3Mo 27,26; 4Mo 18,15; 5Mo 12,6)20du sollst sie vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, essen, du und dein Haus, Jahr für Jahr, an dem Ort, den der HERR erwählen wird. (5Mo 12,5; 5Mo 12,17; 5Mo 14,23)21Wenn das Tier aber einen Fehler hat, wenn es hinkt oder blind ist oder sonst einen schlimmen Fehler hat, so sollst du es dem HERRN, deinem Gott, nicht opfern; (3Mo 22,20)22sondern du sollst es innerhalb deiner Tore essen — der Reine genauso wie der Unreine —, wie die Gazelle und den Hirsch.
