1O SENHOR disse a Moisés:2“Faça duas cornetas de prata batida a fim de usá-las para reunir a comunidade e para dar aos acampamentos o sinal para partirem.3Quando as duas cornetas tocarem, a comunidade inteira se reunirá diante de você, à entrada da Tenda do Encontro.4Se apenas uma tocar, os líderes, chefes dos clãs de Israel, se reunirão diante de você.5Quando a corneta der um toque de alerta, as tribos acampadas a leste deverão partir.6Ao som do segundo toque, os acampamentos do lado sul partirão. O toque de alerta será o sinal para partir.7Para reunir a assembleia, faça soar as cornetas, mas não com o mesmo toque.8“Os filhos de Arão, os sacerdotes, tocarão as cornetas. Este é um decreto perpétuo para vocês e para as suas gerações.9Quando em sua terra vocês entrarem em guerra contra um adversário que os esteja oprimindo, toquem as cornetas; e o SENHOR, o Deus de vocês, se lembrará de vocês e os libertará dos seus inimigos.10Também em seus dias festivos, nas festas fixas e no primeiro dia de cada mês, vocês deverão tocar as cornetas por ocasião dos seus holocaustos e das suas ofertas de comunhão[1], e elas serão um memorial em favor de vocês perante o seu Deus. Eu sou o SENHOR, o Deus de vocês”. (Nm 15:8)
Os Israelitas Partem do Sinai
11No vigésimo dia do segundo mês do segundo ano, a nuvem se levantou de cima do tabernáculo que guarda as tábuas da aliança.12Então os israelitas partiram do deserto do Sinai e viajaram por etapas, até que a nuvem pousou no deserto de Parã.13Assim partiram pela primeira vez, conforme a ordem do SENHOR anunciada por Moisés.14Os exércitos do acampamento de Judá partiram primeiro, junto à sua bandeira. Naassom, filho de Aminadabe, estava no comando.15Natanael, filho de Zuar, comandava os exércitos da tribo de Issacar,16e Eliabe, filho de Helom, chefiava os exércitos da tribo de Zebulom.17Quando o tabernáculo era desmontado, os gersonitas e os meraritas o carregavam e partiam.18Os exércitos do acampamento de Rúben partiram em seguida, junto à sua bandeira. Elizur, filho de Sedeur, estava no comando.19Selumiel, filho de Zurisadai, comandava os exércitos da tribo de Simeão,20e Eliasafe, filho de Deuel, chefiava os exércitos da tribo de Gade.21Então os coatitas partiam carregando as coisas sagradas. Antes que eles chegassem, o tabernáculo já deveria estar armado.22Os exércitos do acampamento de Efraim partiram em seguida, junto à sua bandeira. Elisama, filho de Amiúde, estava no comando.23Gamaliel, filho de Pedazur, comandava os exércitos da tribo de Manassés,24e Abidã, filho de Gideoni, os exércitos da tribo de Benjamim.25Finalmente, partiram os exércitos do acampamento de Dã, junto à sua bandeira, como retaguarda para todos os acampamentos. Aieser, filho de Amisadai, estava no comando.26Pagiel, filho de Ocrã, comandava os exércitos da tribo de Aser,27e Aira, filho de Enã, a divisão da tribo de Naftali.28Essa era a ordem que os exércitos israelitas seguiam quando se punham em marcha.29Então Moisés disse a Hobabe, filho do midianita Reuel, sogro de Moisés: “Estamos partindo para o lugar a respeito do qual o SENHOR disse: ‘Eu o darei a vocês’. Venha conosco e o trataremos bem, pois o SENHOR prometeu boas coisas para Israel”.30Ele respondeu: “Não, não irei; voltarei para a minha terra e para o meu povo”.31Moisés, porém, disse: “Por favor, não nos deixe. Você sabe onde devemos acampar no deserto e pode ser o nosso guia[2].32Se vier conosco, partilharemos com você todas as coisas boas que o SENHOR nos der”.33Então eles partiram do monte do SENHOR e viajaram três dias. A arca da aliança do SENHOR foi à frente deles durante aqueles três dias para encontrar um lugar para descansarem.34A nuvem do SENHOR estava sobre eles de dia, sempre que partiam de um acampamento.35Sempre que a arca partia, Moisés dizia: “Levanta-te, ó SENHOR! Sejam espalhados os teus inimigos e fujam de diante de ti os teus adversários”.36Sempre que a arca parava, ele dizia: “Volta, ó SENHOR, para os incontáveis milhares de Israel”.
1The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,2“Make two silver trumpets. Of hammered work you shall make them, and you shall use them for summoning the congregation and for breaking camp. (Sl 81:3; Is 1:13; Jl 1:14)3And when both are blown, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the entrance of the tent of meeting. (Jr 4:5; Jl 2:15)4But if they blow only one, then the chiefs, the heads of the tribes of Israel, shall gather themselves to you. (Ex 18:21; Nm 1:16; Nm 7:2)5When you blow an alarm, the camps that are on the east side shall set out. (Nm 2:3; Nm 10:14)6And when you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that are on the south side shall set out. An alarm is to be blown whenever they are to set out. (Nm 2:10; Nm 10:18)7But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow a long blast, but you shall not sound an alarm. (Nm 10:3; Jl 2:1)8And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. The trumpets shall be to you for a perpetual statute throughout your generations. (1 Cr 15:24; 2 Cr 13:12)9And when you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered before the LORD your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies. (Gn 8:1; Nm 10:7; Nm 31:6; Js 6:5; Jz 2:18; Jz 4:3; Jz 10:8; Jz 10:12; 1 Sm 10:18; 2 Cr 13:14)10On the day of your gladness also, and at your appointed feasts and at the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings. Israel Leaves Sinai
11In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud lifted from over the tabernacle of the testimony, (Nm 9:17)12and the people of Israel set out by stages from the wilderness of Sinai. And the cloud settled down in the wilderness of Paran. (Gn 21:21; Ex 19:1; Ex 19:2; Ex 40:36; Nm 1:1; Nm 9:5; Nm 12:16; Nm 13:3; Nm 13:26; Dt 1:1)13They set out for the first time at the command of the LORD by Moses. (Nm 2:34; Nm 10:5)14The standard of the camp of the people of Judah set out first by their companies, and over their company was Nahshon the son of Amminadab. (Nm 1:7; Nm 2:3)15And over the company of the tribe of the people of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.16And over the company of the tribe of the people of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.17And when the tabernacle was taken down, the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who carried the tabernacle, set out. (Nm 1:51; Nm 4:24; Nm 7:6)18And the standard of the camp of Reuben set out by their companies, and over their company was Elizur the son of Shedeur. (Nm 1:5; Nm 2:10)19And over the company of the tribe of the people of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. (Nm 1:6)20And over the company of the tribe of the people of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel. (Nm 1:14; Nm 2:14)21Then the Kohathites set out, carrying the holy things, and the tabernacle was set up before their arrival. (Nm 4:4; Nm 7:9; Nm 10:17)22And the standard of the camp of the people of Ephraim set out by their companies, and over their company was Elishama the son of Ammihud. (Nm 1:10; Nm 2:18)23And over the company of the tribe of the people of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. (Nm 10:22)24And over the company of the tribe of the people of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni. (Nm 1:11)25Then the standard of the camp of the people of Dan, acting as the rear guard of all the camps, set out by their companies, and over their company was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. (Nm 1:12; Nm 2:25; Js 6:9)26And over the company of the tribe of the people of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ochran. (Nm 1:13)27And over the company of the tribe of the people of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan. (Nm 1:15)28This was the order of march of the people of Israel by their companies, when they set out. (Nm 2:34)29And Moses said to Hobab the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are setting out for the place of which the LORD said, ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will do good to you, for the LORD has promised good to Israel.” (Gn 12:7; Gn 32:12; Ex 2:18; Ex 3:8; Ex 6:7; Ex 6:8)30But he said to him, “I will not go. I will depart to my own land and to my kindred.”31And he said, “Please do not leave us, for you know where we should camp in the wilderness, and you will serve as eyes for us. (Jó 29:15)32And if you do go with us, whatever good the LORD will do to us, the same will we do to you.” (Nm 10:29; Jz 1:16; Jz 4:11)33So they set out from the mount of the LORD three days’ journey. And the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place for them. (Ex 3:1; Sl 132:8; Jr 31:2)34And the cloud of the LORD was over them by day, whenever they set out from the camp. (Ex 13:21)35And whenever the ark set out, Moses said, “Arise, O LORD, and let your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate you flee before you.” (Sl 68:1; Sl 68:2)36And when it rested, he said, “Return, O LORD, to the ten thousand thousands of Israel.”
