1 Salmo di Davide. Al Signore appartiene la terra e tutto quel che è in essa, il mondo e i suoi abitanti. 2 Poiché egli l’ha fondata sui mari e l’ha stabilita sui fiumi. 3 Chi salirà al monte del Signore? Chi potrà stare nel suo luogo santo? 4 L’uomo innocente di mani e puro di cuore, che non eleva l’animo a vanità e non giura con il proposito di ingannare. 5 Egli riceverà benedizione dal Signore, giustizia dal Dio della sua salvezza. 6 Tale è la generazione di quelli che lo cercano, di quelli che cercano il tuo volto, o Dio di Giacobbe. [Pausa] 7 O porte, alzate i vostri frontoni; e voi, porte eterne, alzatevi; e il Re di gloria entrerà. 8 Chi è questo Re di gloria? È il Signore, forte e potente, il Signore potente in battaglia. 9 O porte, alzate i vostri frontoni; alzatevi, o porte eterne, e il Re di gloria entrerà. 10 Chi è questo Re di gloria? È il Signore degli eserciti; egli è il Re di gloria. [Pausa]

1 Von David. Ein Psalm. Des HERRN ist die Erde und ihre Fülle, die Welt und die darauf wohnen. (De 10,14; Sal 50,12; 1Co 10,26) 2 Denn er, er hat sie gegründet[1] über Meeren und über Strömen sie festgestellt. (Gen 1,9; Sal 89,12; Sal 136,6; 2P 3,5) 3 Wer darf hinaufsteigen auf den Berg des HERRN und wer darf stehen an seiner heiligen Stätte? (Sal 15,1) 4 Wer unschuldige Hände und ein reines Herz hat, er, der seine Seele nicht auf Falsches[2] gerichtet und nicht zum Betrug[3] geschworen hat. (Sal 26,6; Sal 51,12; Sal 73,1; Mat 5,8; Giac 4,8) 5 Er wird Segen empfangen vom HERRN und Gerechtigkeit von dem Gott seines Heils[4]. 6 Das ist das Geschlecht derer, die nach ihm trachten, die dein Angesicht suchen: Jakob[5]. // (Sal 27,8) 7 Erhebt, ihr Tore, eure Häupter, und erhebt euch, ihr ewigen[6] Pforten, dass der König der Herrlichkeit einzieht! 8 Wer ist dieser König der Herrlichkeit? Der HERR, stark und mächtig! Der HERR, mächtig im Kampf! (Ap 19,11) 9 Erhebt, ihr Tore, eure Häupter, und erhebt euch, ihr ewigen Pforten, dass der König der Herrlichkeit einzieht! 10 Wer ist er, dieser König der Herrlichkeit? 1 The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof,[1] the world and those who dwell therein, (Eso 9,29; Eso 19,5; De 10,14; Giob 41,11; Sal 50,12; Sal 89,11; 1Co 10,26) 2 for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. (Gen 1,9; Giob 38,6; Sal 104,5; Sal 136,6; Prov 8,29) 3 Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? (Sal 2,6; Sal 15,1) 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. (De 10,12; Giob 22,30; Sal 31,6; Sal 73,1; Sal 119,37; Is 33,15; Is 33,16; Ez 18,6; Mi 6,8; Mat 5,8) 5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory?
