Salmo 19

(Sal 78,35; Sal 104,34; Sal 119,108; Fili 4,8)

Salmo 19

English Standard Version

di Crossway
1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above[1] proclaims his handiwork. (Sal 50,6; Ro 1,19)2 Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.3 There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.4 Their voice[2] goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, (Ec 1,5; Is 28,10; Ro 10,18)5 which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. (Giudic 5,31; Gioe 2,16)6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.7 The law of the Lord is perfect,[3] reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; (Eso 25,16; Sal 23,3; Sal 78,5; Sal 111,7; Sal 119,130; Prov 1,4; Mat 11,25; Ro 7,12; 1Co 1,27; 2Ti 3,15; 2Ti 3,16)8 the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; (Sal 12,6; Sal 13,3; Sal 103,18; Sal 111,7; Sal 119,4; Sal 119,27)9 the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules[4] of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. (Sal 119,142; Sal 119,151; Sal 119,160)10 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. (Giob 28,17; Sal 119,72; Sal 119,103; Sal 119,127; Prov 8,10; Prov 8,19; Prov 16,24)11 Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. (Prov 29,18)12 Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. (Le 4,2; Nu 15,27; Giob 34,32; Sal 40,12; Sal 90,8; 1Co 4,4)13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. (Gen 20,6; Nu 15,30; 1Sam 25,33; 1Sam 25,39; Sal 119,133; Ro 6,12; Ro 6,14)14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. (Giob 19,25; Sal 18,2)

Salmo 19

King James Version

1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults .13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins ; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
