Psalm 24

Neues Leben.

New International Reader’s Version

von Biblica
1 The earth belongs to the LORD. And so does everything in it. The world belongs to him. And so do all those who live in it.2 He set it firmly on the oceans. He made it secure on the waters.3 Who can go up to the temple on the mountain of the LORD? Who can stand in his holy place?4 Anyone who has clean hands and a pure heart. Anyone who does not trust in the statue of a god. Anyone who doesn’t use the name of that god when he makes a promise.5 People like that will receive the LORD’s blessing. When God their Saviour hands down his sentence, it will be in their favour.6 The people who look to God are like that. God of Jacob, they look to you.7 Open wide, you gates. Open up, you ancient doors. Then the King of glory will come in.8 Who is the King of glory? The LORD, who is strong and mighty. The LORD, who is mighty in battle.9 Open wide, you gates. Open wide, you ancient doors. Then the King of glory will come in.10 Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD who rules over all. He is the King of glory.

1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof,[1] the world and those who dwell therein, (2Mo 9,29; 2Mo 19,5; 5Mo 10,14; Hi 41,11; Ps 50,12; Ps 89,11; 1Kor 10,26)2 for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. (1Mo 1,9; Hi 38,6; Ps 104,5; Ps 136,6; Spr 8,29)3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? (Ps 2,6; Ps 15,1)4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. (5Mo 10,12; Hi 22,30; Ps 31,6; Ps 73,1; Ps 119,37; Jes 33,15; Hes 18,6; Mi 6,8; Mt 5,8)5 He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. (1Mo 22,17; Ps 27,9; Ps 38,22; Ps 51,14; Ps 88,1; Jes 46,13; Jes 56,1)6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.[2] (Ps 14,5; Ps 27,8; Ps 105,4)7 Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. (Ps 118,19; Jes 26,2; 1Kor 2,8)8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle! (2Mo 15,3)9 Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory! (Mal 1,14)
