1Am ersten Tag der Woche kommt Maria Magdalena früh, als es noch finster war, zum Grab und sieht, dass der Stein vom Grab weggenommen war. (Mt 28,1; Mk 16,1; Lk 24,1)2Da läuft sie und kommt zu Simon Petrus und zu dem andern Jünger, den Jesus lieb hatte, und spricht zu ihnen: Sie haben den Herrn weggenommen aus dem Grab, und wir wissen nicht, wo sie ihn hingelegt haben. (Joh 13,23)3Da gingen Petrus und der andere Jünger hinaus, und sie kamen zum Grab.4Es liefen aber die beiden miteinander, und der andere Jünger lief voraus, schneller als Petrus, und kam als Erster zum Grab,5schaut hinein und sieht die Leinentücher liegen; er ging aber nicht hinein.6Da kam Simon Petrus ihm nach und ging hinein in das Grab und sieht die Leinentücher liegen,7und das Schweißtuch, das auf Jesu Haupt gelegen hatte, nicht bei den Leinentüchern, sondern daneben, zusammengewickelt an einem besonderen Ort. (Joh 11,44)8Da ging auch der andere Jünger hinein, der als Erster zum Grab gekommen war, und sah und glaubte.9Denn sie verstanden die Schrift noch nicht, dass er von den Toten auferstehen müsste. (Mk 8,31; Lk 24,7; Lk 24,25; Apg 2,24; 1Kor 15,4)10Da gingen die Jünger wieder zu den anderen zurück.

11Maria aber stand draußen vor dem Grab und weinte. Als sie nun weinte, beugte sie sich in das Grab hinein12und sieht zwei Engel in weißen Gewändern sitzen, einen zu Häupten und den andern zu den Füßen, wo der Leichnam Jesu gelegen hatte.13Und die sprachen zu ihr: Frau, was weinst du? Sie spricht zu ihnen: Sie haben meinen Herrn weggenommen, und ich weiß nicht, wo sie ihn hingelegt haben.14Und als sie das sagte, wandte sie sich um und sieht Jesus stehen und weiß nicht, dass es Jesus ist.15Spricht Jesus zu ihr: Frau, was weinst du? Wen suchst du? Sie meint, es sei der Gärtner, und spricht zu ihm: Herr, hast du ihn weggetragen, so sage mir: Wo hast du ihn hingelegt? Dann will ich ihn holen.16Spricht Jesus zu ihr: Maria! Da wandte sie sich um und spricht zu ihm auf Hebräisch: Rabbuni!, das heißt: Meister! (Joh 1,38)17Spricht Jesus zu ihr: Rühre mich nicht an! Denn ich bin noch nicht aufgefahren zum Vater. Geh aber hin zu meinen Brüdern und sage ihnen: Ich fahre auf zu meinem Vater und eurem Vater, zu meinem Gott und eurem Gott. (Hebr 2,11)18Maria Magdalena geht und verkündigt den Jüngern: »Ich habe den Herrn gesehen«, und was er zu ihr gesagt habe.
Die Vollmacht der Jünger
19Am Abend aber dieses ersten Tages der Woche, da die Jünger versammelt und die Türen verschlossen waren aus Furcht vor den Juden, kam Jesus und trat mitten unter sie und spricht zu ihnen: Friede sei mit euch! (Mk 16,14; Lk 24,36)20Und als er das gesagt hatte, zeigte er ihnen die Hände und seine Seite. Da wurden die Jünger froh, dass sie den Herrn sahen. (1Joh 1,1)21Da sprach Jesus abermals zu ihnen: Friede sei mit euch! Wie mich der Vater gesandt hat, so sende ich euch. (Joh 17,18)22Und als er das gesagt hatte, blies er sie an und spricht zu ihnen: Nehmt hin den Heiligen Geist!23Welchen ihr die Sünden erlasst, denen sind sie erlassen; welchen ihr sie behaltet, denen sind sie behalten. (Mt 18,18)
Thomas
24Thomas aber, einer der Zwölf, der Zwilling genannt wird, war nicht bei ihnen, als Jesus kam. (Joh 11,16; Joh 14,5; Joh 21,2)25Da sagten die andern Jünger zu ihm: Wir haben den Herrn gesehen. Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wenn ich nicht in seinen Händen die Nägelmale sehe und lege meinen Finger in die Nägelmale und lege meine Hand in seine Seite, kann ich’s nicht glauben. (Joh 19,34)26Und nach acht Tagen waren seine Jünger abermals drinnen, und Thomas war bei ihnen. Kommt Jesus, als die Türen verschlossen waren, und tritt mitten unter sie und spricht: Friede sei mit euch!27Danach spricht er zu Thomas: Reiche deinen Finger her und sieh meine Hände, und reiche deine Hand her und lege sie in meine Seite, und sei nicht ungläubig, sondern gläubig!28Thomas antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Mein Herr und mein Gott! (Joh 1,1)29Spricht Jesus zu ihm: Weil du mich gesehen hast, darum glaubst du? Selig sind, die nicht sehen und doch glauben! (Hebr 11,1; 1Petr 1,8)30Noch viele andere Zeichen tat Jesus vor seinen Jüngern, die nicht geschrieben sind in diesem Buch. (Joh 21,24)31Diese aber sind geschrieben, damit ihr glaubt, dass Jesus der Christus ist, der Sohn Gottes, und damit ihr, weil ihr glaubt, das Leben habt in seinem Namen. (1Joh 5,13)

Il entra dans le tombeau, vit les linges qui étaient par terre,7et le linge qui avait enveloppé la tête de Jésus, non pas avec les linges funéraires, mais enroulé[1] à part, à sa place.8Alors l’autre disciple, celui qui était arrivé le premier, entra à son tour dans le tombeau. Il vit, et il crut.9En effet, jusque-là ils n’avaient pas encore compris que Jésus devait ressusciter, comme l’avait annoncé l’Ecriture.10Les deux disciples s’en retournèrent alors chez eux.

11Pendant ce temps, Marie se tenait dehors près du tombeau, et pleurait. Tout en pleurant, elle se pencha vers le tombeau:[2] (Mk 16,9)12elle vit deux anges vêtus de blanc, assis à l’endroit où le corps de Jésus avait été déposé, l’un à la tête et l’autre aux pieds.13Ils lui dirent: Pourquoi pleures-tu? – On a enlevé mon Seigneur, leur répondit-elle, et je ne sais pas où on l’a mis.14Tout en disant cela, elle se retourna et vit Jésus qui se tenait là, mais elle ne savait pas que c’était lui.15– Pourquoi pleures-tu? lui demanda Jésus. Qui cherches-tu? Pensant que c’était le gardien du jardin, elle lui dit: Si c’est toi qui l’as emporté, dis-moi où tu l’as mis, pour que j’aille le reprendre.16Jésus lui dit: Marie! Elle se tourna vers lui et s’écria en hébreu: Rabbouni (ce qui veut dire: Maître)!17– Ne me retiens pas[3], lui dit Jésus, car je ne suis pas encore monté vers mon Père. Va plutôt trouver mes frères et dis-leur de ma part: Je monte vers mon Père qui est votre Père, vers mon Dieu qui est votre Dieu.18Marie de Magdala alla donc annoncer aux disciples: J’ai vu le Seigneur! Et elle leur rapporta ce qu’il lui avait dit.

19Ce même dimanche, dans la soirée, les disciples étaient dans une maison dont ils avaient verrouillé les portes, parce qu’ils avaient peur des Juifs. Jésus vint: il se trouva là, au milieu d’eux, et il leur dit: Que la paix soit avec vous! (Mk 16,14; Lk 24,36)20Tout en disant cela, il leur montra ses mains et son côté[4]. Les disciples furent remplis de joie parce qu’ils voyaient le Seigneur.21– Que la paix soit avec vous, leur dit-il de nouveau. Comme le Père m’a envoyé, moi aussi je vous envoie.22Après avoir dit cela, il souffla sur eux et continua: Recevez l’Esprit Saint.23Ceux à qui vous remettrez leurs péchés en seront tenus quittes; et ceux à qui vous les retiendrez en resteront chargés.

24L’un des Douze, Thomas, surnommé le Jumeau, n’était pas avec eux lors de la venue de Jésus.25Les autres disciples lui dirent: Nous avons vu le Seigneur! Mais il leur répondit: Si je ne vois pas la marque des clous dans ses mains, si je ne mets pas mon doigt à la place des clous, et si je ne mets pas la main dans son côté, je ne croirai pas.26Huit jours plus tard, les disciples étaient de nouveau réunis dans la maison. Cette fois-ci, Thomas était avec eux. Jésus vint, alors que les portes étaient verrouillées. Il se tint au milieu d’eux et leur dit: Que la paix soit avec vous!27Puis il dit à Thomas: Place ton doigt ici, vois mes mains; avance ta main et mets-la dans mon côté. Ne sois donc pas incrédule, mais crois.28Thomas lui répondit: Mon Seigneur et mon Dieu!29– Parce que tu m’as vu, tu crois! lui dit Jésus. Heureux ceux qui croient sans avoir vu.30Jésus a accompli, sous les yeux de ses disciples, encore beaucoup d’autres signes miraculeux qui n’ont pas été rapportés dans ce livre.31Mais ce qui s’y trouve a été écrit pour que vous croyiez que Jésus est le Messie, le Fils de Dieu, et qu’en croyant, vous possédiez la vie en son nom.

19On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews,[3] Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” (Lk 24,33; Lk 24,36; Joh 7,13; Joh 14,27; Joh 20,26; 1Kor 15,5)20When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. (Lk 24,40; Joh 16,22)21Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” (Joh 3,17; Joh 13,20; Joh 17,18; Apg 1,2)22And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Jesus and Thomas
24Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin,[4] was not with them when Jesus came. (Joh 11,16)25So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.” (Ps 22,16; Joh 20,20)26Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” (Joh 20,19)27Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” (Lk 24,39; Joh 20,20; 1Joh 1,1)28Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” (Joh 1,1; Joh 1,49)29Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me?
