Das siebte Siegel

1 Als das Lamm das siebte Siegel aufbrach, wurde es im Himmel ganz still, etwa eine halbe Stunde lang. 2 Dann sah ich die sieben Engel, die immer vor Gott stehen, und sie erhielten sieben Posaunen. 3 Ein anderer Engel kam. Mit einem goldenen Weihrauchgefäß trat er vor den Altar. Ihm wurde viel Weihrauch gereicht; er sollte ihn auf dem goldenen Altar vor Gottes Thron als Opfer darbringen, zusammen mit den Gebeten der Menschen, die zu Gott gehören. 4 Und so geschah es auch. Der Duft des Weihrauchs stieg aus der Hand des Engels zu Gott auf, zusammen mit den Gebeten der Menschen. 5 Jetzt nahm der Engel das Weihrauchgefäß, füllte es mit Feuer vom Altar und schleuderte es auf die Erde. Da begann es zu blitzen und zu donnern, gewaltige Stimmen ertönten, und die Erde bebte.

Die ersten vier Posaunen

6 Nun machten sich die sieben Engel bereit, die sieben Posaunen zu blasen. 7 Als die Posaune des ersten Engels ertönte, fielen Hagel und Feuer, mit Blut vermischt, auf die Erde. Ein Drittel der Erde, ein Drittel der Bäume und alles grüne Gras verbrannte. 8 Jetzt blies der zweite Engel seine Posaune. Etwas, das wie ein großer feuerglühender Berg aussah, stürzte brennend ins Meer. Da wurde ein Drittel des Meeres zu Blut, 9 ein Drittel aller Lebewesen im Meer starb, und ein Drittel aller Schiffe wurde zerstört. 10 Dann ertönte die Posaune des dritten Engels. Ein riesiger Stern fiel wie eine brennende Fackel vom Himmel. Er stürzte auf ein Drittel aller Flüsse und Quellen. 11 Dieser Stern heißt »Bitterkeit«. Er vergiftete ein Drittel des Wassers auf der Erde. Viele Menschen starben, nachdem sie von dem bitteren Wasser getrunken hatten. 12 Jetzt hörte ich die Posaune des vierten Engels. Schlagartig erloschen ein Drittel der Sonne und des Mondes; auch ein Drittel aller Sterne verfinsterte sich. Das Licht des Tages wurde um ein Drittel schwächer, und die Finsternis der Nacht nahm um ein Drittel zu. 13 Ich blickte auf und bemerkte einen Adler, der hoch oben am Himmel flog und laut schrie: »Wehe! Wehe euch Menschen auf der Erde! Bald werden die drei anderen Engel ihre Posaune blasen. Wehe euch! Dann wird Furchtbares geschehen!«

The Seventh Seal and the Golden Censer

1 When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. (Offb 5,1; Offb 6,1) 2 Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. (Lk 1,19) 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne, (2Mo 30,1; 2Mo 30,3; Am 9,1; Offb 5,8; Offb 9,13)

4 and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. (Ps 141,2) 5 Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings,^[1] flashes of lightning, and an earthquake. (3Mo 16,12; Ps 18,7; Offb 4,5)

The Seven Trumpets

6 Now the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to blow them. 7 The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up. 8 The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. (2Mo 7,17; 2Mo 7,19; Jer 51,25; Mk 11,23; Offb 11,6)

9 A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. (Jes 2,16) 10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. (Jes 14,12; Offb 9,1; Offb 14,7; Offb 16,4)

11 The name of the star is Wormwood.^[2] A third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died from the water, because it had been made bitter. (2Mo 15,23; 5Mo 29,18; Jer 9,15; Jer 23,15)

12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light might be darkened, and a third of the day might be kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night. (2Mo 10,21; Jes 13,10; Jes 30,26) 13 Then I looked, and I heard an eagle crying with a loud voice as it flew directly overhead, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!” (Offb 9,12; Offb 11,14)

1 Cuando abrió el séptimo sello, se hizo silencio en el cielo como por media hora. 2 Y vi a los siete ángeles que están en pie delante de Dios, y les fueron dadas siete trompetas. 3 Y llegó otro ángel, y se puso en pie junto al altar teniendo un incensario de oro, y le fue dado mucho incienso para que lo añadiera a las oraciones de todos los santos, en el altar de oro delante del trono. 4 Y el humo del incienso ascendió de mano del ángel, con las oraciones de los santos, a la presencia de Dios. 5 Y el ángel tomó el incensario, y lo llenó del fuego del altar, y lo arrojó a la tierra; y hubo truenos, y voces, y relámpagos y un terremoto. 6 Y los siete ángeles que tienen las siete trompetas, se dispusieron a tocarlas: 7 El primero tocó la trompeta, y hubo granizo y fuego mezclados con sangre, y fueron lanzados a la tierra; y la tercera parte de la tierra fue quemada, y la tercera parte de los árboles fue quemada, y toda hierba verde fue quemada. 8 El segundo ángel tocó la trompeta, y como una gran montaña ardiendo en llamas fue precipitada al mar, y la tercera parte del mar se convirtió en sangre. 9 Y murió la tercera parte de las criaturas que había en el mar, cuantas tenían vida, y la tercera parte de las naves fueron destruidas. 10 El tercer ángel tocó la trompeta, y una gran estrella, ardiendo como una antorcha, cayó del cielo sobre la tercera parte de los ríos y sobre las fuentes de las aguas. 11 El nombre de la estrella es llamado: el Ajenjo; y la tercera parte de las aguas se convirtió en ajenjo, y muchos de los hombres murieron a causa de las aguas, porque se volvieron amargas. 12 Y el cuarto ángel tocó la trompeta, y fue herida la tercera parte del sol, y la tercera parte de la luna, y la tercera parte de las estrellas, para que se oscureciera la tercera parte de ellos, y el día no resplandeciera en su tercera parte, y asimismo la noche. 13 Y vi, y oí un águila volando en medio del cielo, que decía a gran voz: ¡Ay! ¡Ay! ¡Ay de los que moran en la tierra, por causa de las otras voces de la trompeta de los tres ángeles que están a punto de tocar!

Apertura del settimo sigillo

1 Quando l’Agnello aprì il settimo sigillo, si fece silenzio nel cielo per circa mezz’ora. 2 Poi vidi i sette angeli che stanno in piedi davanti a Dio, e furono date loro sette trombe. 3 E venne un altro angelo con un incensiere d’oro; si fermò presso l’altare e gli furono dati molti profumi affinché li offrisse con le preghiere di tutti i santi sull’altare d’oro posto davanti al trono. 4 E dalla mano dell’angelo il fumo dei profumi salì davanti a Dio, insieme alle preghiere dei santi. 5 Poi l’angelo prese l’incensiere, lo riempì del fuoco dell’altare e lo gettò sulla terra, e ci furono tuoni, voci, lampi e un terremoto.

Le prime sei trombe

6 I sette angeli che avevano le sette trombe si prepararono a suonare. 7 Il primo suonò la tromba, e grandine e fuoco, mescolati con sangue, furono scagliati sulla terra. E fu bruciato un terzo della terra, un terzo degli alberi ed ogni erba verde. 8 Poi il secondo angelo suonò la tromba, e una massa simile a una grande montagna ardente fu gettata nel mare. Un terzo del mare diventò sangue, 9 un terzo delle creature viventi che erano nel mare morì e un terzo delle navi andò distrutto. 10 Poi il terzo angelo suonò la tromba, e dal cielo cadde una grande stella, ardente come una torcia, che piombò su un terzo dei fiumi e sulle sorgenti delle acque. 11 Il nome della stella è Assenzio; e un terzo delle acque diventò assenzio. Molti uomini morirono a causa di quelle acque, perché erano diventate amare. 12 Poi il quarto angelo suonò la tromba, e fu colpito un terzo del sole, della luna e delle stelle: un terzo della loro luce si spense e il chiarore del giorno, come quello della notte, diminuì di un terzo. 13 Guardai, e udii un’aquila che volava in mezzo al cielo e diceva a gran voce: «Guai, guai, guai agli abitanti della terra, a causa degli altri suoni di tromba che i tre angeli stanno per suonare!»
