1And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin[1] are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! (Mt 13:41; Mt 18:7; Lu 22:22)2It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin.[2] (Mt 18:6; Mr 9:42)3Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, (Le 19:17; Mt 6:14; Mt 18:15; Mt 18:21)4and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.” (Mt 18:21)
Increase Our Faith
5The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” (Mr 6:30; Mr 9:24)6And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. (Mt 13:31; Mt 17:20; Lu 19:4)
Unworthy Servants
7“Will any one of you who has a servant[3] plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’?8Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare supper for me, and dress properly,[4] and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’? (Lu 12:35; Lu 12:37; Joh 13:4)9Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded?10So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants;[5] we have only done what was our duty.’” (Job 22:2; Job 35:7; Mt 25:30; Ro 11:35)
Jesus Cleanses Ten Lepers
11On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. (Mt 19:1; Lu 9:51; Joh 4:3)12And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers,[6] who stood at a distance (Le 13:45)13and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.”14When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. (Le 13:2; Mt 8:4; Lu 5:14)15Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; (Lu 13:13)16and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. (Nu 16:22; Mt 10:5; Mt 26:39; Lu 5:12)17Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? (Lu 17:12)18Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” (Isa 66:5; Joh 9:24)19And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.”[7] (Mr 10:52)
The Coming of the Kingdom
20Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, (Lu 12:39; Lu 19:11; Ac 1:6)21nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”[8] (Lu 17:23)22And he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. (Am 5:18; Mt 9:15; Mr 2:20; Lu 5:35; Lu 19:43; Lu 21:6; Lu 23:29; Joh 4:21; Joh 8:56)23And they will say to you, ‘Look, there!’ or ‘Look, here!’ Do not go out or follow them. (Mt 24:23; Mr 13:21; Lu 17:21; Lu 21:8)24For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day.[9] (Mt 24:27; 1Co 1:8)25But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. (Mt 16:21; Mt 17:22; Mr 8:31; Lu 13:33)26Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. (Ge 6:5; Ge 7:7; Mt 24:37; 1Th 5:3; Heb 11:7; 1Pe 3:20; 2Pe 2:5)27They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. (Mt 24:38)28Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot—they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, (2Pe 2:7)29but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all— (Ge 19:16; Ge 19:24; 2Pe 2:6)30so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed. (Mt 16:27; Mt 24:44; 1Co 1:7; 2Th 1:7; 1Pe 1:7; 1Pe 1:13; 1Pe 4:13)31On that day, let the one who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away, and likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back. (Mt 24:17; Mr 13:15; Lu 5:19; Lu 21:21)32Remember Lot’s wife. (Ge 19:26)33Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it. (Mt 10:39; Ac 7:19)34I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken and the other left.35There will be two women grinding together. One will be taken and the other left.”[10] (Ex 11:5; Isa 47:2; Mt 24:41)37And they said to him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the corpse[11] is, there the vultures[12] will gather.” (Job 39:30; Mt 24:28)
1Er sprach aber zu seinen Jüngern: Es ist unmöglich, dass keine Verführungen kommen; aber weh dem, durch den sie kommen! (Mt 18:6; Mt 18:15; Mt 18:21; Mr 9:42)2Es wäre besser für ihn, dass man einen Mühlstein um seinen Hals hängte und würfe ihn ins Meer, als dass er einen dieser Kleinen zum Bösen verführt.3Hütet euch! Wenn dein Bruder sündigt, so weise ihn zurecht; und wenn er umkehrt, vergib ihm.4Und wenn er siebenmal am Tag an dir sündigen würde und siebenmal wieder zu dir käme und spräche: Es reut mich!, so sollst du ihm vergeben.
Von der Kraft des Glaubens
5Und die Apostel sprachen zu dem Herrn: Stärke uns den Glauben! (Mr 9:24; Lu 8:25)6Der Herr aber sprach: Wenn ihr Glauben hättet wie ein Senfkorn, würdet ihr zu diesem Maulbeerbaum sagen: Reiß dich aus und verpflanze dich ins Meer!, und er würde euch gehorsam sein. (Mt 17:20; Mt 21:21; Mr 11:23)
Von der Pflicht des Knechts
7Wer unter euch hat einen Knecht, der pflügt oder das Vieh weidet, und sagt ihm, wenn der vom Feld heimkommt: Komm gleich her und setz dich zu Tisch?8Wird er nicht vielmehr zu ihm sagen: Bereite mir das Abendessen, schürze dich und diene mir, bis ich gegessen und getrunken habe; und danach sollst du essen und trinken?9Dankt er etwa dem Knecht, dass er getan hat, was befohlen war?10So auch ihr! Wenn ihr alles getan habt, was euch befohlen ist, so sprecht: Wir sind unnütze Knechte; wir haben getan, was wir zu tun schuldig waren.
Die zehn Aussätzigen
11Und es begab sich, als er nach Jerusalem wanderte, dass er durch das Gebiet zwischen Samarien und Galiläa zog. (Lu 9:51; Lu 13:22)12Und als er in ein Dorf kam, begegneten ihm zehn aussätzige Männer; die standen von ferne (Le 13:45)13und erhoben ihre Stimme und sprachen: Jesus, lieber Meister, erbarme dich unser!14Und da er sie sah, sprach er zu ihnen: Geht hin und zeigt euch den Priestern! Und es geschah, als sie hingingen, da wurden sie rein. (Le 13:2; Le 14:2; Lu 5:14)15Einer aber unter ihnen, als er sah, dass er gesund geworden war, kehrte er um und pries Gott mit lauter Stimme16und fiel nieder auf sein Angesicht zu Jesu Füßen und dankte ihm. Und das war ein Samariter. (Lu 9:52; Lu 10:33; Joh 4:4; Ac 8:25)17Jesus aber antwortete und sprach: Sind nicht die zehn rein geworden? Wo sind aber die neun?18Hat sich sonst keiner gefunden, der wieder umkehrte, um Gott die Ehre zu geben, als nur dieser Fremde?19Und er sprach zu ihm: Steh auf, geh hin; dein Glaube hat dir geholfen. (Lu 7:50; Lu 8:48; Lu 18:42)
Vom Kommen des Gottesreiches
20Als er aber von den Pharisäern gefragt wurde: Wann kommt das Reich Gottes?, antwortete er ihnen und sprach: Das Reich Gottes kommt nicht mit äußeren Zeichen; (Mt 24:1; Mr 13:1)21man wird auch nicht sagen: Siehe, hier!, oder: Da! Denn sehet, das Reich Gottes ist mitten unter euch.[1] (Mt 12:28; Lu 11:20)
Vom Tag des Menschensohns
22Er sprach aber zu den Jüngern: Es wird die Zeit kommen, in der ihr begehren werdet, zu sehen einen der Tage des Menschensohns, und werdet ihn nicht sehen.23Und sie werden zu euch sagen: Siehe, da!, oder: Siehe, hier! Geht nicht hin und lauft nicht hinterher! (Lu 21:8)24Denn wie der Blitz aufblitzt und leuchtet von einem Ende des Himmels bis zum andern, so wird der Menschensohn an seinem Tage sein.25Zuvor aber muss er viel leiden und verworfen werden von diesem Geschlecht. (Lu 9:22; Lu 9:44; Lu 18:32)26Und wie es geschah in den Tagen Noahs, so wird’s auch sein in den Tagen des Menschensohns: (Ge 6:9; 2Pe 2:5)27Sie aßen, sie tranken, sie heirateten, sie ließen sich heiraten bis zu dem Tag, an dem Noah in die Arche ging und die Sintflut kam und brachte sie alle um.28Ebenso, wie es geschah in den Tagen Lots: Sie aßen, sie tranken, sie kauften, sie verkauften, sie pflanzten, sie bauten; (Ge 19:15; Ge 19:24)29an dem Tage aber, als Lot aus Sodom ging, da regnete es Feuer und Schwefel vom Himmel und brachte sie alle um.30Auf diese Weise wird’s auch gehen an dem Tage, wenn der Menschensohn wird offenbar werden.31Wer an jenem Tage auf dem Dach ist und seinen Hausrat im Haus hat, der steige nicht hinunter, um ihn zu holen. Und ebenso, wer auf dem Feld ist, der wende sich nicht um nach dem, was hinter ihm ist.32Denkt an Lots Frau! (Ge 19:26)33Wer seine Seele zu erhalten sucht, der wird sie verlieren; und wer sie verlieren wird, der wird ihr zum Leben helfen. (Mt 10:39; Mt 16:25; Mr 8:35; Lu 9:24; Joh 12:25)34Ich sage euch: In jener Nacht werden zwei auf einem Bett liegen; der eine wird angenommen, der andere wird preisgegeben werden.35-36Zwei Frauen werden miteinander Korn mahlen; die eine wird angenommen, die andere wird preisgegeben werden.[2] (Mt 24:40)37Und sie antworteten und sprachen zu ihm: Herr, wo? Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wo das Aas ist, da sammeln sich auch die Geier.
1Jésus dit à ses disciples: «Il est inévitable qu'il y ait des pièges, mais malheur à celui qui en est responsable!2Il vaudrait mieux pour lui qu'on attache à son cou une meule de moulin et qu'on le jette à la mer, plutôt qu'il ne fasse trébucher un seul de ces petits.3Faites bien attention à vous-mêmes. Si ton frère a péché [contre toi], reprends-le et, s'il reconnaît ses torts, pardonne-lui.4S'il a péché contre toi 7 fois dans une journée et que 7 fois [dans la journée] il revienne [vers toi] et dise: ‘J'ai eu tort’[1], tu lui pardonneras.»5Les apôtres dirent au Seigneur: «Augmente notre foi.»6Le Seigneur dit: «Si vous aviez de la foi comme une graine de moutarde, vous diriez à ce mûrier: ‘Déracine-toi et va te planter dans la mer’, et il vous obéirait.7»Si l'un de vous a un esclave qui laboure ou garde les troupeaux, lui dira-t-il, à son retour des champs: ‘Viens tout de suite te mettre à table’?8Ne lui dira-t-il pas au contraire: ‘Prépare-moi à souper, ajuste ta tenue pour me servir jusqu'à ce que j'aie mangé et bu; après cela, toi, tu mangeras et tu boiras’?9A-t-il de la reconnaissance envers cet esclave parce qu'il a fait ce qui lui était ordonné? [Je ne pense pas.]10Vous de même, quand vous avez fait tout ce qui vous a été ordonné, dites: ‘Nous sommes des serviteurs inutiles, nous avons fait ce que nous devions faire.’»
Guérison de dix lépreux
11Alors qu'il se rendait à Jérusalem, Jésus passa entre la Samarie et la Galilée.12Comme il entrait dans un village, dix lépreux vinrent à sa rencontre. Ils se tinrent à distance13et se mirent à lui dire: «Jésus, maître, aie pitié de nous!»14Lorsqu'il les vit, Jésus leur dit: «Allez vous montrer aux prêtres.» Pendant qu'ils y allaient, ils furent guéris.15L'un d'eux, se voyant guéri, revint sur ses pas en rendant gloire à Dieu à haute voix.16Il tomba le visage contre terre aux pieds de Jésus et le remercia. C'était un Samaritain.17Jésus prit la parole et dit: «Les dix n'ont-ils pas été guéris? Et les neuf autres, où sont-ils?18Ne s'est-il trouvé que cet étranger pour revenir et rendre gloire à Dieu?»19Puis il lui dit: «Lève-toi, vas-y, ta foi t'a sauvé.»
La venue du royaume de Dieu
20Les pharisiens demandèrent à Jésus quand viendrait le royaume de Dieu. Il leur répondit: «Le royaume de Dieu ne vient pas en se faisant remarquer.21On ne dira pas: ‘Il est ici’, ou: ‘Il est là.’ En effet, le royaume de Dieu est au milieu de vous.»22Puis il dit aux disciples: «Un temps viendra où vous désirerez voir même un seul des jours du Fils de l'homme, et vous ne le verrez pas.23On vous dira: ‘Il est ici’, ‘Il est là.’ N'y allez pas, n'y courez pas.24En effet, tout comme l'éclair resplendit et brille d'une extrémité du ciel à l'autre, ainsi sera le Fils de l'homme dans son jour.25Mais il faut auparavant qu'il souffre beaucoup et qu'il soit rejeté par cette génération.26»Ce qui est arrivé à l'époque de Noé arrivera de même aux jours du Fils de l'homme.27Les hommes mangeaient, buvaient, se mariaient et mariaient leurs enfants, jusqu'au jour où Noé est entré dans l'arche, puis le déluge est venu et les a tous fait mourir.28Ce sera comme à l'époque de Lot: les hommes mangeaient, buvaient, achetaient, vendaient, plantaient, construisaient,29mais le jour où Lot est sorti de Sodome, une pluie de feu et de soufre est tombée du ciel et les a tous fait mourir.30Il en ira de même le jour où le Fils de l'homme apparaîtra.31»Ce jour-là, que celui qui sera sur le toit et qui aura ses affaires dans la maison ne descende pas pour les prendre et que celui qui sera dans les champs ne retourne pas non plus en arrière.32Souvenez-vous de la femme de Lot[2]. (Ge 19:26)33Celui qui cherchera à sauver sa vie la perdra, et celui qui la perdra la conservera.34Je vous le dis, cette nuit-là, deux personnes seront dans un même lit: l'une sera prise et l'autre laissée;35deux femmes moudront ensemble: l'une sera prise et l'autre laissée;36[deux hommes seront dans un champ: l'un sera pris et l'autre laissé.]»37Les disciples lui dirent: «Où cela se passera-t-il, Seigneur?» Il répondit: «Là où sera le corps, là se rassembleront [aussi] les vautours.[3]» (Job 39:30)
