1 And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin[1] are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! (Mt 13:41; Mt 18:7; Lu 22:22)

1 Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.

1 Jesus spoke to his disciples. ‘Things that make people sin are sure to come,’ he said. ‘But how terrible it will be for anyone who causes those things to come!

1 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
