1The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus; (Isa 32:15; Isa 55:12)2it shall blossom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God. (So 2:1; So 5:15; So 7:5; Isa 33:9; Isa 40:5)3Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. (Isa 40:1; Heb 12:12)4Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.” (Isa 40:10)5Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; (Isa 32:3)6then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. For waters break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert; (Isa 35:1; Isa 35:5; Isa 41:18; Isa 43:19; Isa 44:3; Joh 7:38)7the burning sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water; in the haunt of jackals, where they lie down, the grass shall become reeds and rushes. (Isa 13:22; Isa 48:20; Isa 49:10)8And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are fools, they shall not go astray.[1] (Isa 40:3; Isa 52:1)9No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it; they shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there.10And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. (Isa 25:8; Isa 51:11; Isa 65:19; Re 7:17; Re 21:4)
1Die Wüste und Einöde wird frohlocken, und die Steppe wird jubeln und wird blühen wie die Lilien. (Isa 32:15)2Sie wird blühen und jubeln in aller Lust und Freude. Die Herrlichkeit des Libanon ist ihr gegeben, die Pracht von Karmel und Scharon. Sie sehen die Herrlichkeit des HERRN, die Pracht unsres Gottes. (Isa 40:5; Isa 60:13)3Stärkt die müden Hände und macht fest die wankenden Knie! (Heb 12:12)4Sagt den verzagten Herzen: »Seid getrost, fürchtet euch nicht! Seht, da ist euer Gott! Er kommt zur Rache; Gott, der da vergilt, kommt und wird euch helfen.« (Isa 34:8; Isa 40:9; Mt 11:5)5Dann werden die Augen der Blinden aufgetan und die Ohren der Tauben geöffnet werden. (Isa 29:18)6Dann wird der Lahme springen wie ein Hirsch, und die Zunge des Stummen wird frohlocken. Denn es werden Wasser in der Wüste hervorbrechen und Ströme im dürren Lande.7Und wo es zuvor trocken gewesen ist, sollen Teiche stehen, und wo es dürre gewesen ist, sollen Brunnquellen sein. Wo zuvor die Schakale gelegen haben, soll Gras und Rohr und Schilf stehen. (Isa 41:18; Isa 43:19)8Und es wird dort eine Bahn sein und ein Weg, der der heilige Weg heißen wird. Kein Unreiner darf ihn betreten; nur sie werden auf ihm gehen; auch die Toren dürfen nicht darauf umherirren. (Isa 62:10)9Es wird da kein Löwe sein und kein reißendes Tier darauf gehen; sie sind dort nicht zu finden, sondern die Erlösten werden dort gehen.10Die Erlösten des HERRN werden wiederkommen und nach Zion kommen mit Jauchzen; ewige Freude wird über ihrem Haupte sein; Freude und Wonne werden sie ergreifen, und Schmerz und Seufzen wird entfliehen. (Isa 51:11; Isa 65:19; Re 21:4)
1Le désert et le terrain sec se réjouiront, la plaine aride exprimera sa joie et fleurira comme un narcisse;2elle se couvrira de fleurs et exprimera sa joie par des chants d'allégresse et des cris de triomphe. La gloire du Liban lui sera donnée, de même que la splendeur du Carmel et du Saron. On verra la gloire de l'Eternel, la splendeur de notre Dieu.3Fortifiez les mains affaiblies et affermissez les genoux flageolants![1]4Dites à ceux qui ont le cœur battant: «Fortifiez-vous, n'ayez pas peur! Voici votre Dieu: elle viendra, la vengeance, la rémunération de Dieu. Il viendra lui-même pour vous sauver.»5Alors les yeux des aveugles seront ouverts et les oreilles des sourds seront débouchées.6Alors le boiteux sautera[2] comme un cerf et la langue du muet lancera des cris joyeux. Oui, de l'eau jaillira dans le désert et des ruisseaux dans la plaine aride.7La terre brûlante deviendra un étang et la terre aride se changera en sources d'eau. Dans le repaire qui servait de gîte aux chacals pousseront des roseaux et des joncs.8Il y aura là une route, un chemin qu'on appellera «chemin de la sainteté». Aucun impur n'y passera, il sera réservé pour eux lorsqu'ils suivront ce chemin. Même les fous ne pourront pas s'y égarer.9On n'y croisera aucun lion, aucune bête sauvage ne le gravira, aucune ne s'y trouvera. Ce sont les rachetés de l'Eternel qui y marcheront.10Ceux que l'Eternel aura libérés reviendront, ils arriveront à Sion avec des chants de triomphe et une joie éternelle couronnera leur tête. Ils connaîtront la gaieté et la joie, la douleur et les gémissements s'enfuiront.
