1Then he said to Moses, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship from afar. (Ex 6:23; Ex 28:1; Nu 11:16)2Moses alone shall come near to the Lord, but the others shall not come near, and the people shall not come up with him.” (Ex 24:13; Ex 24:15; Ex 24:18)3Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the rules.[1] And all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words that the Lord has spoken we will do.” (Ex 19:8; Ex 21:1; De 5:27)4And Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord. He rose early in the morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. (Ge 28:18; Ge 31:45; Ex 23:24; De 31:9)5And he sent young men of the people of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to the Lord.6And Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he threw against the altar. (Heb 9:18)7Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient.” (Ex 24:3)8And Moses took the blood and threw it on the people and said, “Behold the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.” (Heb 9:19; Heb 13:20; 1Pe 1:2)9Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up, (Ex 24:1; Nu 11:16)10and they saw the God of Israel. There was under his feet as it were a pavement of sapphire stone, like the very heaven for clearness. (Ge 32:30; Ex 33:20; Ex 33:23; Jud 13:22; Isa 6:1; Isa 6:5; Eze 1:26; Eze 10:1; Joh 1:18; 1Ti 6:16; 1Jo 4:12; 1Jo 4:20)11And he did not lay his hand on the chief men of the people of Israel; they beheld God, and ate and drank. (Ge 31:54; Ex 18:12)12The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and wait there, that I may give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.” (Ex 24:2; Ex 24:15; Ex 24:18; Ex 31:18; Ex 32:15; De 5:22)13So Moses rose with his assistant Joshua, and Moses went up into the mountain of God. (Ex 3:1; Ex 17:9; Ex 33:11)14And he said to the elders, “Wait here for us until we return to you. And behold, Aaron and Hur are with you. Whoever has a dispute, let him go to them.” (Ex 17:10; Ex 17:12; Ex 31:2)15Then Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain. (Ex 19:9; Ex 19:16; Mt 17:5)16The glory of the Lord dwelt on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. (Ex 16:10; Le 9:23; Nu 14:10; Nu 16:42)17Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel. (Ex 3:2; Ex 19:18; De 4:36; Heb 12:18; Heb 12:29)18Moses entered the cloud and went up on the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights. (Ex 34:28; De 9:9; De 9:18; De 9:25; De 10:10)

(Ex 19:8)4Da schrieb Mose alle Worte des HERRN nieder und machte sich früh am Morgen auf und baute einen Altar unten am Berge und zwölf Steinmale nach den zwölf Stämmen Israels (Ex 34:27; Jos 4:20)5und sandte junge Männer der Israeliten hin, dass sie darauf dem HERRN Brandopfer opferten und Dankopfer von jungen Stieren. (Jud 17:7)6Und Mose nahm die Hälfte des Blutes und goss es in die Becken, die andere Hälfte aber sprengte er an den Altar.7Und er nahm das Buch des Bundes und las es vor den Ohren des Volks. Und sie sprachen: Alles, was der HERR gesagt hat, wollen wir tun und darauf hören.8Da nahm Mose das Blut und besprengte das Volk damit und sprach: Seht, das ist das Blut des Bundes, den der HERR mit euch geschlossen hat aufgrund aller dieser Worte. (Mr 14:24; Heb 9:19)9Da stiegen Mose und Aaron, Nadab und Abihu und siebzig von den Ältesten Israels hinauf10und sahen den Gott Israels. Unter seinen Füßen war es wie eine Fläche von Saphir und wie der Himmel, wenn es klar ist. (Eze 1:26)11Und er reckte seine Hand nicht aus wider die Edlen der Israeliten. Und als sie Gott geschaut hatten, aßen und tranken sie. (Ex 19:21; Ex 33:20)
Mose soll die Gesetzestafeln empfangen
12Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Komm herauf zu mir auf den Berg und bleib daselbst, dass ich dir gebe die steinernen Tafeln, Gesetz und Gebot, die ich geschrieben habe, um sie zu unterweisen. (Ex 31:18; 2Co 3:3; 2Co 3:6)13Da machte sich Mose auf mit seinem Diener Josua. Und Mose stieg auf den Berg Gottes. (Ex 33:11)14Aber zu den Ältesten sprach er: Bleibt hier, bis wir zu euch zurückkommen. Siehe, Aaron und Hur sind bei euch; hat jemand eine Rechtssache, der wende sich an sie. (Ex 17:12)15Da nun Mose auf den Berg kam, bedeckte die Wolke den Berg,16und die Herrlichkeit des HERRN ließ sich nieder auf dem Berg Sinai, und die Wolke bedeckte ihn sechs Tage; und er rief Mose am siebenten Tag aus der Wolke. (Ex 16:10)17Und die Herrlichkeit des HERRN war anzusehen wie ein verzehrendes Feuer auf dem Gipfel des Berges vor den Augen der Israeliten. (De 4:24; De 9:3; Heb 12:29)18Und Mose ging mitten in die Wolke hinein und stieg auf den Berg und blieb auf dem Berge vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte. (Ex 34:28)

Le peuple entier répondit d'une seule voix: «Nous ferons tout ce que l'Eternel a dit.»4Moïse écrivit toutes les paroles de l'Eternel. Puis il se leva de bon matin, construisit un autel au pied de la montagne et dressa 12 pierres pour les 12 tribus d'Israël.5Il envoya de jeunes Israélites offrir à l'Eternel des holocaustes ainsi que des taureaux en sacrifices de communion.6Moïse prit la moitié du sang et la mit dans des bassines, et avec l'autre moitié il aspergea l'autel.7Il prit le livre de l'alliance[1] et le lut en présence du peuple. Ils dirent: «Nous ferons tout ce que l'Eternel a dit, nous y obéirons.»8Moïse prit le sang et en aspergea le peuple en disant: « Voici le sang de l'alliance que l'Eternel a conclue avec vous[2] sur la base de toutes ces paroles.» (Mt 26:28; Mr 14:24; Lu 22:20; Heb 9:20)9Moïse monta avec Aaron, Nadab et Abihu ainsi que 70 anciens d'Israël.10Ils virent le Dieu d'Israël. Sous ses pieds, c'était comme une œuvre en saphir transparent, comme le ciel lui-même dans sa pureté.11Il ne porta pas la main contre les personnalités israélites. Ils virent Dieu, puis ils mangèrent et burent.12L'Eternel dit à Moïse: «Monte vers moi sur la montagne et restes-y. Je te donnerai des tables de pierre, la loi et le commandement que j'ai écrits pour les enseigner.»13Moïse se leva avec son assistant Josué et commença à gravir la montagne de Dieu.14Il avait dit aux anciens: «Attendez-nous ici jusqu'à ce que nous revenions vers vous. Aaron et Hur vont rester avec vous; si quelqu'un a une affaire à régler, c'est à eux qu'il devra s'adresser.»15Moïse monta sur la montagne, qui fut recouverte par la nuée.16La gloire de l'Eternel reposa sur le mont Sinaï et la nuée le recouvrit pendant 6 jours. Le septième jour, l'Eternel appela Moïse du milieu de la nuée.17La gloire de l'Eternel avait l'apparence d'un feu dévorant au sommet de la montagne, aux yeux des Israélites.18Moïse pénétra au milieu de la nuée et continua de gravir la montagne. Il y resta 40 jours et 40 nuits.
