The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked

1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; (Job 21:16; Ps 26:4; Ps 107:32; Pr 1:10; Pr 1:22; Pr 3:34; Pr 4:14; Pr 19:29; Pr 21:24; Pr 29:8; Isa 28:14; Jer 15:17) 

2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. (Jos 1:8; Ps 112:1; Ps 119:1; Ps 119:35; Ps 119:47; Ps 119:92; Ps 119:97) 

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. (Ge 39:3; Ge 39:23; Nu 24:6; Job 29:19; Ps 46:4; Ps 128:2; Isa 3:10; Isa 34:4; Jer 17:8; Eze 19:10; Eze 47:12) 

4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. (Job 21:18) 

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; (Ps 5:5; Ps 76:7; Eze 13:9; Na 1:6; Lu 21:36; Eph 6:13) 

6 for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. (Ps 31:7; Ps 37:5; Ps 37:18; Ps 144:3; Na 1:7; Joh 10:14; 2Ti 2:19)

Der Weg des Frommen, der Weg des Frevlers

1 Wohl dem, der nicht wandelt im Rat der Gottlosen / noch tritt auf den Weg der Sünder noch sitzt, wo die Spötter sitzen, (Ps 26:4; Ps 119:1; Pr 4:14; Jer 15:17) 

2 sondern hat Lust am Gesetz des HERRN und sinnt über seinem Gesetz Tag und Nacht! (Jos 1:8; Ps 119:148) 

3 Der ist wie ein Baum, gepflanzt an den Wasserbächen, / der seine Frucht bringt zu seiner Zeit, und seine Blätter verwelken nicht. Und was er macht, das gerät wohl. (Ps 92:13; Jer 17:8) 

4 Aber so sind die Gottlosen nicht, sondern wie Spreu, die der Wind verstreut. 

5 Darum bestehen die Gottlosen nicht im Gericht noch die Sünder in der Gemeinde der Gerechten. 

6 Denn der HERR kennt den Weg der Gerechten, aber der Gottlosen Weg vergeht.

1 ¡Cuán bienaventurado es el varón que no anduvo en consejo de malos, Ni se detuvo en camino de pecadores, Ni en silla de escarnecedores se ha sentado! 

2 Sino que en la Ley de YHVH está su delicia, Y en su Ley medita de día y de noche. 

3 Será como árbol plantado junto a corrientes de agua, Que da su fruto a su tiempo, y su hoja no se marchita, Y todo lo que hace prosperará. 

4 No así los malos, que son como la paja que arrebata el viento. 

5 Por lo que no se erguirán los malos en el juicio, Ni los pecadores en la asamblea de los justos, 

6 Porque YHVH conoce el camino de los justos, Pero la senda de los malos conduce a la perdición.

La Loi de l’Eternel, source du bonheur

1 Heureux l’homme ╵qui ne marche pas ╵selon les conseils ╵des méchants, qui ne va pas se tenir ╵sur le chemin des pécheurs, qui ne s’assied pas ╵en la compagnie ╵de ces gens qui se moquent de Dieu. 

2 Toute sa joie il la met ╵dans la Loi de l’Eternel qu’il médite jour et nuit. 

3 Il prospère comme un arbre ╵implanté près d’un cours d’eau; il donne toujours son fruit ╵lorsqu’en revient la saison. Son feuillage est toujours vert; tout ce qu’il fait réussit. 

4 Tel n’est pas le cas ╵des méchants: ils sont pareils à la paille ╵éparpillée par le vent. 

5 Aussi, lors du jugement, ╵ils ne subsisteront pas, et nul pécheur ne se maintiendra ╵parmi la communauté des justes. 

6 Oui car l’Eternel prend en compte ╵la voie suivie par les justes; mais le sentier des méchants ╵les mène à la ruine.
