(Ps 32:5; 1Jo 1:8)6Nicht nur an Menschen bin ich schuldig geworden, gegen dich selbst habe ich gesündigt; ich habe getan, was du verabscheust. Darum bist du im Recht, wenn du mich schuldig sprichst; deinen Richterspruch kann niemand tadeln. (Ro 3:4)7Ich bin verstrickt in Verfehlung und Schuld seit meine Mutter mich empfangen[1] und geboren hat. (Ro 7:14)8Das war mir verborgen; du hast es mir gezeigt. Dir gefällt es, wenn jemand die Wahrheit erkennt.[2]9Nimm meine Schuld von mir,[3] dann werde ich rein! Wasche mich, dann werde ich weiß wie Schnee! (Isa 1:18; Heb 10:22)10Lass mich wieder Freude erleben und mit deiner Gemeinde jubeln. Du hast mich völlig zerschlagen; richte mich doch wieder auf!11Sieh nicht auf meine Verfehlungen, tilge meine ganze Schuld!12Gott, schaffe mich neu: Gib mir ein Herz, das dir völlig gehört, und einen Geist, der beständig zu dir hält.[4] (Eze 36:26)13Vertreibe mich nicht aus deiner Nähe, entzieh mir nicht deinen Heiligen Geist!14Mach mich doch wieder froh durch deine Hilfe und gib mir ein gehorsames Herz!15Alle, die dir nicht gehorchen, will ich an deine Gebote erinnern, damit sie umkehren und tun, was dir gefällt.16Gott, du bist mein Retter! Ich habe den Tod verdient, aber verschone mich! Dann werde ich laut deine Treue preisen.[5]17Herr, nimm die Schuld von mir und löse mir die Zunge,[6] dann kann ich deine Güte vor allen rühmen.18Tieropfer willst du nicht, ich würde sie dir gerne geben; aus Brandopfern machst du dir nichts. (Ps 40:7)19Aber wenn ein Mensch dir Herz und Geist hingibt, wenn er mit sich am Ende ist und dir nicht mehr trotzt – ein solches Opfer weist du nicht ab. (Isa 66:2)20Erweise doch Zion deine Liebe: Bau die Mauern Jerusalems wieder auf! (Ps 147:2)21Dann wirst du auch wieder Freude haben am Opfer, das du uns vorgeschrieben hast, am Brandopfer, das wir dir ganz darbringen! Dann werden auf deinem Altar wieder Stiere verbrannt! (Mal 3:4)
