1As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. (Ro 15:1; 1Co 8:9; 1Co 9:22)2One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Do Not Cause Another to Stumble
13Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. (Mt 7:1; 1Co 8:13)14I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself, but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean. (Ac 10:15; Ro 14:2; 1Co 8:7; 1Co 8:10)15For if your brother is grieved by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. By what you eat, do not destroy the one for whom Christ died. (Ro 14:20; 1Co 8:11; Eph 5:2)16So do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil. (Ro 12:17; 1Co 10:29; 1Co 10:30)17For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Ro 15:13; 1Co 6:9; 1Co 8:8; Ga 5:22)18Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. (2Co 8:21)19So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding. (Ps 34:14; Ro 15:2; 1Co 7:15; 1Co 14:12; 2Ti 2:22)20Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for anyone to make another stumble by what he eats. (Ro 14:14; Ro 14:15; 1Co 8:9; Tit 1:15)21It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble.[3] (1Co 8:13)22The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who has no reason to pass judgment on himself for what he approves. (1Jo 3:21)23But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.[4]

Er wird aber aufrecht gehalten werden, denn der Herr vermag ihn aufrecht zu halten. (Mt 7:1; 1Co 4:4)5Der eine hält einen Tag vor dem anderen, der andere aber hält jeden Tag ⟨gleich⟩. Jeder aber sei in seinem eigenen Sinn[2] völlig überzeugt! (Ga 4:10; Col 2:16)6Wer den Tag beachtet, beachtet ihn dem Herrn. Und wer isst, isst dem Herrn, denn er sagt Gott Dank; und wer nicht isst, isst dem Herrn nicht und sagt Gott Dank. (1Co 10:31)7Denn keiner von uns lebt sich selbst, und keiner stirbt sich selbst. (Mt 12:36)13Lasst uns nun nicht mehr einander richten, sondern haltet vielmehr das für recht, dem Bruder keinen Anstoß oder keinen Fallstrick[3] zu bieten! Verdirb nicht mit deiner Speise den, für den Christus gestorben ist! (1Co 8:11; Ga 5:13)16Lasst nun euer Gut nicht verlästert werden! (Tit 2:5)17Denn das Reich[6] Gottes ist nicht Essen und Trinken, sondern Gerechtigkeit und Friede und Freude im Heiligen Geist. (1Co 8:8)18Denn wer in diesem dem Christus dient[7], ist Gott wohlgefällig und den Menschen bewährt.19So lasst uns nun dem nachstreben, was dem Frieden, und dem, was der gegenseitigen Erbauung[8] ⟨dient⟩. (Ps 34:15; Mr 9:50; Ro 12:18; Ro 15:2; 1Co 14:12; 2Co 12:19)20Zerstöre nicht einer Speise wegen das Werk Gottes! Alles zwar ist rein, aber es ist böse für den Menschen, der mit Anstoß isst. (Ro 14:14)21Es ist gut, kein Fleisch zu essen noch Wein zu trinken noch etwas ⟨zu tun⟩, woran dein Bruder sich stößt[9]. (1Co 8:13)22Hast du Glauben? Habe ihn für dich selbst vor Gott! Glückselig, wer sich selbst nicht richtet in dem, was er gutheißt! (1Jo 3:21)23Wer aber zweifelt, wenn er isst, der ist verurteilt, weil ⟨er es⟩ nicht aus Glauben ⟨tut⟩. Alles aber, was nicht aus Glauben ist, ist Sünde. (1Co 8:7)
