1 The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad! (Ps 72:10; Ps 93:1; Ps 96:11) 2 Clouds and thick darkness are all around him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. (Ex 19:9; De 4:11; De 5:22; 1Ki 8:12; Ps 18:11; Ps 89:14) 3 Fire goes before him and burns up his adversaries all around. (Ps 21:9; Ps 50:3) 4 His lightnings light up the world; the earth sees and trembles. (Ps 77:18; Ps 96:9) 5 The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. (Jos 3:11; Jud 5:5; Ps 68:2; Na 1:5) 6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory. (Ps 50:6; Ps 96:3; Isa 40:5; Isa 66:18) 7 All worshipers of images are put to shame, who make their boast in worthless idols; worship him, all you gods! (Ps 96:5; Isa 42:17; Isa 44:9; Heb 1:6) 8 Zion hears and is glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of your judgments, O Lord. (Ps 48:11) 9 For you, O Lord, are most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods. (Ps 83:18; Ps 95:3) 10 O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. 1 Der HERR ist König! Es jauchze die Erde! Es sollen sich freuen die vielen Inseln! (Ps 93:1; Ps 96:11; Isa 60:9) 2 Gewölk und Dunkel sind um ihn her. Gerechtigkeit und Recht sind die Grundfeste seines Thrones. (1Ki 8:10; Ps 89:15) 3 Feuer geht vor ihm her und verzehrt seine Bedränger ringsum. (Ps 18:9; 2Th 1:8) 4 Seine Blitze erleuchten die Welt. Die Erde sah es und bebte. (Job 37:3; Ps 77:19) 5 Die Berge zerschmolzen wie Wachs vor dem HERRN, vor dem Herrn der ganzen Erde. (Jud 5:5; Ps 75:4; Mic 1:4; Hab 3:6) 6 Der Himmel verkündete seine Gerechtigkeit, und alle Völker sahen seine Herrlichkeit. (Ps 50:6; Isa 40:5) 7 Schämen müssen sich alle Verehrer eines Götterbildes, die sich der Götzen[1] rühmen. Fallt vor ihm nieder, alle Götter! (1Sa 5:3; Isa 42:7; Isa 44:9; Isa 45:16; Heb 1:6) 8 Zion hörte es und freute sich, und es jauchzten die Töchter Judas wegen deiner Gerichte, HERR. (Ps 48:12) 9 Denn du, HERR, bist der Höchste über die ganze Erde. Du bist sehr erhaben über alle Götter. (Ex 18:11; Ps 83:19; Ps 92:9; Ps 95:3; Ps 136:2) 10 Die ihr den HERRN liebt, hasst das Böse! Er bewahrt die Seelen seiner Getreuen. Aus der Hand der Gottlosen errettet er sie. (Ps 121:7; Pr 8:13; Am 5:14; 2Ti 2:19) 11 Licht ist dem Gerechten gesät[2] und Freude den von Herzen Aufrichtigen. (Ps 68:4; Ps 112:4; Pr 4:18; Isa 58:8) 12 Freut euch, ihr Gerechten, im HERRN, und preist seinen heiligen Namen[3]! (Ps 30:5; Ps 32:11)
