BOŽE MSTITELI, HOSPODINE

1 Bože mstiteli, Hospodine, Bože mstiteli, zaskvěj se! 2 Povznes se výše, ty soudce země, dej odplatu pyšným. 3 Dlouho ještě svévolníci, Hospodine, dlouho ještě svévolníci budou jásat? 4 Chrlí drzé řeči, chvástají se všichni pachatelé ničemností 5 a deptají tvůj lid, Hospodine, činí příkoří dědictví tvému, 6 vraždí vdovu a bezdomovce, sirotky zabíjejí. 7 Říkají: „Hospodin nevidí, Bůh Jákobův to nepostřehne.“ 8 Přijdete na to, vy tupci z lidu, hlupáci, pochopíte to někdy? 9 Neslyší snad ten, jenž učinil ucho? Nedívá se snad ten, jenž vytvořil oko? 10 Neumí snad trestat ten, jenž kárá pronárody, ten, jenž učí člověka, co by měl vědět? 11 Hospodin zná smýšlení lidí; jsou pouhý vánek. 12 Blaze muži, jehož, Hospodine, káráš, jehož svým zákonem vyučuješ: 13 Dopřeješ mu klidu ve zlých dnech, zatímco se bude kopat jáma svévolníku. 14 Vždyť Hospodin lid svůj neodvrhne, své dědictví neopustí. 15 Na soudu opět zavládne spravedlnost, půjdou za ní všichni, kteří mají přímé srdce. 16 Kdo se mne zastane proti zlovolníkům? Kdo se za mne postaví proti pachatelům ničemností? 17 Kdyby mi Hospodin nepomáhal, zakrátko bych bydlel v říši ticha. 18 Řeknu-li: „Už ujíždí mi noha,“ podepře mě tvé milosrdenství, Hospodine. 19 Když v mém nitru roste neklid, naplní mě útěcha tvá potěšením. 20 Může být tvým spojencem trůn zhouby, který proti právu jen trápení plodí? 21 Napadají duši spravedlivou, nevinnou krev viní ze svévole. 22 Ale Hospodin je můj hrad nedobytný, můj Bůh je má útočištná skála. 23 Obrátí proti nim jejich ničemnosti, umlčí je jejich vlastní zlobou, umlčí je Hospodin, Bůh náš!

Kdo by se byl za mne postavil proti těm, jenž páší nepravost? 17 Kdyby mi Hospodin nebyl ku pomoci, tudíž by se byla octla duše má v mlčení. 18 Již jsem byl řekl: Klesla noha má, ale milosrdenství tvé, ó Hospodine, zdrželo mne. 19 Ve množství přemyšlování mých u vnitřnosti mé, tvá potěšování obveselovala duši mou. 20 Zdaliž se k tobě přitovaryší stolice převráceností těch, jenž vynášejí nátisk mimo spravedlnost, 21 Jenž se shlukují proti duši spravedlivého, a krev nevinnou odsuzují? 22 Ale Hospodin jest mým hradem vysokým, a Bůh můj skalou útočiště mého. 23 Onť obrátí na ně nepravost jejich, a zlostí jejich zahladí je, zahladí je Hospodin Bůh náš.

1 HERR, du Gott, des die Rache ist, du Gott, des die Rache ist, erscheine! (Dt 32,35) 2 Erhebe dich, du Richter der Welt; vergilt den Hoffärtigen, was sie verdienen! (Gn 18,25) 3 HERR, wie lange sollen die Frevler, wie lange sollen die Frevler frohlocken? 4 Es reden so trotzig daher, es rühmen sich alle Übeltäter. 5 HERR, sie zerschlagen dein Volk und plagen dein Erbe. 6 Witwen und Fremdlinge bringen sie um und töten die Waisen 7 und sagen: Der HERR sieht’s nicht, und der Gott Jakobs beachtet’s nicht.
