1 Blaze muži, který se neřídí radami svévolníků, který nestojí na cestě hříšných, který nesedává s posměvači,  2 nýbrž si oblíbil Hospodinův zákon, nad jeho zákonem rozjímá ve dne i v noci.  3 Je jako strom zasazený u tekoucí vody, který dává své ovoce v pravý čas, jemuž listí neuvadá. Vše, co podnikne, se zdaří.  4 Se svévolníky je tomu jinak: jsou jak plevy hnané větrem.  5  Na soudu svévolní neobstojí, ani hříšní v shromáždění spravedlivých.  6  Hospodin zná cestu spravedlivých, ale cesta svévolníků vede do záhuby.

1 Blahoslavený ten muž, kterýž nechodí po radě bezbožných, a na cestě hříšníků nestojí, a na stolici posměvačů nesedá. 2 Ale v zákoně Hospodinově jest líbost jeho, a v zákoně jeho přemýšlí dnem i nocí. 3 Nebo bude jako strom štípený při tekutých vodách, kterýž ovoce své vydává časem svým, jehožto list nevadne, a cožkoli činiti bude, šťastně mu se povede. 4 Ne takť budou bezbožní, ale jako plevy, kteréž rozmítá vítr. 5 A protož neostojí bezbožní na soudu, ani hříšníci v shromáždění spravedlivých. 6 Neboť zná Hospodin cestu spravedlivých, ale cesta bezbožných zahyne.

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

1 Selig der Mann, der nicht nach dem Rat der Frevler geht, / nicht auf dem Weg der Sünder steht, nicht im Kreis der Spötter sitzt, (Ž 26,4; Př 4,14) 2 sondern sein Gefallen hat an der Weisung des HERRN, bei Tag und bei Nacht über seine Weisung nachsinnt. (Jz 1,8; Ž 112,1) 3 Er ist wie ein Baum, gepflanzt an Bächen voll Wasser, der zur rechten Zeit seine Frucht bringt und dessen Blätter nicht welken. Alles, was er tut, es wird ihm gelingen. (Ž 92,13; Jr 17,8) 4 Nicht so die Frevler: Sie sind wie Spreu, die der Wind verweht. (Jb 21,18; Ž 35,5) 5 Darum werden die Frevler im Gericht nicht bestehen noch die Sünder in der Gemeinde der Gerechten. 6 Denn der HERR kennt den Weg der Gerechten, der Weg der Frevler aber verliert sich. (Jz 1,8; Ž 119,148) 3 Der ist wie ein Baum, gepflanzt an den Wasserbächen, / der seine Frucht bringt zu seiner Zeit, und seine Blätter verwelken nicht. Und was er macht, das gerät wohl. (Ž 92,13; Jr 17,8) 4 Aber so sind die Gottlosen nicht, sondern wie Spreu, die der Wind verstreut. 5 Darum bestehen die Gottlosen nicht im Gericht noch die Sünder in der Gemeinde der Gerechten. 6 Denn der HERR kennt den Weg der Gerechten, aber der Gottlosen Weg vergeht.
