1 (По слав. 106.) Славете ГОСПОДА, защото е благ, защото Неговата милост трае довека. (Пс 106:1; Пс 118:1; Пс 119:68; Пс 136:1; Мт 19:17) 2 Така нека говорят изкупените от ГОСПОДА, които Той изкупи от ръката на противника, (Пс 106:10) 3 като ги събра от страните – от изток и от запад, от север и от юг[1]. (Пс 106:47; Ис 43:5; Ис 43:6; Ер 29:14; Ер 31:8; Ер 31:10; Ез 39:27; Ез 39:28) 4 Едни се скитаха в пустинята по усамотен път, без да намират населен град, (Вт 32:10; Пс 107:40) 5 гладни и жадни, душата им примираше в тях. 6 Тогава извикаха към ГОСПОДА в бедствието си; и Той ги избави от утесненията им (Пс 50:15; Пс 107:13; Пс 107:19; Пс 107:28; Ос 5:15) 7 и ги заведе през прав път, за да достигнат в населен град. (Езд 8:21) 8 Да славословят ГОСПОДА за Неговата благост и за чудесните Му дела към човешките синове; (Пс 107:15; Пс 107:21; Пс 107:31) 9 защото насища жадна душа и гладна душа изпълва с блага. (Пс 34:10; Лк 1:53) 10 Други седяха в тъмнина и в мрачна сянка, вързани със скръб и с окови, (Йов 36:8; Лк 1:79) 11 защото се разбунтуваха против Божиите слова и презряха съвета на Всевишния. (Пс 73:24; Пс 119:24; П Ер 3:42; Лк 7:30; Д А 20:27) 12 Затова смири сърцето им с труд; те паднаха и нямаше кой да им помогне. (Пс 22:11; Ис 63:5) 13 Тогава извикаха към ГОСПОДА в бедствието си; и Той ги избави от утесненията им; (Пс 107:6; Пс 107:19; Пс 107:28) 14 изведе ги от тъмнината и мрачната сянка и разкъса оковите им. (Пс 68:6; Пс 146:7; Д А 12:7; Д А 16:26) 15 Да славословят ГОСПОДА за Неговата благост и за чудесните Му дела към човешките синове; (Пс 107:8; Пс 107:21; Пс 107:31) 16 защото разби медните порти и железните лостове сломи. (Ис 45:2) 17 А пък безумните са в скръб поради беззаконните си пътища и поради неправдите си. (П Ер 3:39) 18 Душата им се гнуси от всяко ястие, а те се приближават до портите на смъртта. (Йов 33:20; Йов 33:22; Пс 9:13; Пс 88:3) 19 Тогава викат към ГОСПОДА в бедствието си; и Той ги избавя от утесненията им. (Пс 107:6; Пс 107:13; Пс 107:28) 20 Изпраща словото Си и ги изцелява, и ги отървава от ямите, в които лежат. (4 Цар 20:4; 4 Цар 20:5; Йов 33:28; Йов 33:30; Пс 30:2; Пс 30:3; Пс 49:15; Пс 56:13; Пс 103:3; Пс 103:4; Пс 147:15; Пс 147:18; Мт 8:8) 21 Да славословят ГОСПОДА за Неговата благост и за чудесните Му дела към човешките синове; (Пс 107:8; Пс 107:15; Пс 107:31) 22 и нека принасят жертви на хвала и радостно да възвестяват делата Му. (Лев 7:12; Пс 9:11; Пс 50:14; Пс 73:28; Пс 116:17; Пс 118:17; Евр 13:15) 23 Онези пък, които излизат в морето с кораби и вършат работи в големи води, 24 те виждат делата на ГОСПОДА и чудесата Му в дълбочините, 25 защото, когато заповядва и довежда бурния вятър, който повдига морските вълни, (Йона 1:4) 26 те се издигат до небесата и пак се спускат до дълбочините; душата им се топи от бедствие. (Пс 22:14; Пс 119:28; Наум 2:10) 27 Люлеят се и политат като пияни, и целият им разсъдък ги напуска. 28 Тогава викат към ГОСПОДА в бедствието си; и Той ги извежда от утесненията им; (Пс 107:6; Пс 107:13; Пс 107:19) 29 превръща бурята в тишина и вълните и утихват. (Пс 89:9; Мт 8:26) 30 Тогава те се веселят, защото вълните са утихнали; така Той ги завежда в желаното от тях пристанище. 31 Да славословят ГОСПОДА за Неговата благост и за чудесните Му дела към човешките синове; (Пс 107:8; Пс 107:15; Пс 107:21) 32 нека Го и възвисяват в събранието на народа и нека Го хвалят в заседанието на старейшините. (Пс 22:22; Пс 22:25) 33 Той превръща реки в пустиня и водни извори – в суша, (3 Цар 17:1; 3 Цар 17:7) 34 плодородна земя – в солена пустота поради нечестието на жителите и. (Бит 13:10; Бит 14:3; Бит 19:25) 35 Превръща пустиня във водни езера и суха земя – във водни извори; (Пс 114:8; Ис 41:18) 36 и там заселва гладните, за да си основават градове за живеене 37 и да сеят ниви и садят лозя, и да си добиват изобилни плодове. 38 Той ги и благославя, така че те много се умножават, и не дава да намалява добитъкът им. (Бит 12:2; Бит 17:16; Бит 17:20; Изх 1:7) 39 Но пак те се снишават и се смиряват от угнетение, бедствие и тъга. (4 Цар 10:32) 40 Той излива презрение върху князете и ги прави да се скитат в пустиня, където няма път; (Йов 12:21; Йов 12:24) 41 а бедния поставя нависоко от неволя и му дава деца като стадо. (1 Цар 2:8; Пс 78:52; Пс 113:7; Пс 113:8) 42 Праведните виждат това и се радват; а всяко беззаконие си затваря устата. (Йов 5:16; Йов 22:19; Пс 52:6; Пс 58:10; Пс 63:11; Пр 10:11; Рим 3:10) 43 Който е мъдър, нека внимава в това; и нека размишляват хората за ГОСПОДНИТЕ милости. (Пс 64:9; Ер 9:12; Ос 14:9)

1 Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! (Пс 100:5; Пс 105:1) 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble[1] (Пс 106:10; Ис 62:12; Ис 63:4) 3 and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. (Вт 30:3; Пс 106:47; Ис 11:12; Ис 43:5; Ис 56:8; Ер 29:14; Ер 31:8; Ер 31:10; Ез 20:34; Ез 20:41; Ез 39:27) 4 Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to a city to dwell in; (Вт 32:10; Пс 107:36; Пс 107:40) 5 hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. (Пс 77:3) 6 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. (Пс 106:44; Пс 107:19; Пс 107:28) 7 He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in. (Езд 8:21; Пс 107:4) 8 Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! (Пс 107:21; Пс 107:31) 9 For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things. (Пс 34:10; Пс 146:7; Лк 1:53) 10 Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners in affliction and in irons, (Йов 10:21; Йов 36:8; Пс 107:14; Ис 42:7; Ис 49:9; Мих 7:8; Лк 1:79) 11 for they had rebelled against the words of God, and spurned the counsel of the Most High. (Пс 107:19; Пс 107:28) 14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and burst their bonds apart. (Пс 2:3; Пс 10:1) 15 Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! (Пс 107:21; Пс 107:31) 16 For he shatters the doors of bronze and cuts in two the bars of iron. (Ис 45:2) 17 Some were fools through their sinful ways, and because of their iniquities suffered affliction; (Пр 1:7; Пр 14:9) 18 they loathed any kind of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. (Йов 33:20; Йов 33:22; Йов 38:17; Пс 88:3) 19 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. (Пс 107:13; Пс 107:28) 20 He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. (Пс 9:11; Пс 50:14; Пс 105:43; Пс 118:17) 23 Some went down to the sea in ships, doing business on the great waters; (Ис 42:10) 24 they saw the deeds of the LORD, his wondrous works in the deep. 25 For he commanded and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. (Пс 105:31; Пс 105:34; Пс 148:8; Йона 1:4) 26 They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths; their courage melted away in their evil plight; (Пс 22:14; Пс 119:28) 27 they reeled and staggered like drunken men and were at their wits’ end.[2] (Йов 12:25; Ис 19:3; Ис 24:20; Ис 29:9) 28 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. (Пс 107:13; Пс 107:19) 29 He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. (Пс 65:7) 30 Then they were glad that the waters[3] were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven. 31 Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! (Пс 107:15; Пс 107:21) 32 Let them extol him in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders. (Пс 22:22; Пс 22:25; Пс 99:5) 33 He turns rivers into a desert, springs of water into thirsty ground, (Ис 42:15; Ис 50:2) 34 a fruitful land into a salty waste, because of the evil of its inhabitants. (Бит 13:10; Бит 14:3; Вт 29:23) 35 He turns a desert into pools of water, a parched land into springs of water. (Йов 38:26; Йов 38:27; Пс 114:8; Ис 35:6; Ис 35:7; Ис 41:18; Ис 43:19; Ис 43:20) 36 And there he lets the hungry dwell, and they establish a city to live in; (Пс 107:4) 37 they sow fields and plant vineyards and get a fruitful yield. 38 By his blessing they multiply greatly, and he does not let their livestock diminish. (Бит 12:2; Бит 17:20; Изх 1:7) 39 When they are diminished and brought low through oppression, evil, and sorrow, 40 he pours contempt on princes and makes them wander in trackless wastes; (Вт 32:10; Йов 12:21; Йов 12:24) 41 but he raises up the needy out of affliction and makes their families like flocks. (1 Цар 2:8; Йов 21:11; Пс 113:7; Пс 113:8) 42 The upright see it and are glad, and all wickedness shuts its mouth. (Йов 22:19; Пс 63:11) 43 Whoever is wise, let him attend to these things; let them consider the steadfast love of the LORD. (Пс 64:9; Ер 9:12; Ос 14:9)
