1 Přibližoval se pak svátek přesnic, jenž slove velikanoc. 2 I hledali přední kněží a zákoníci, kterak by jej vyhladili; ale obávali se lidu. 3 Tedy ďábel vstoupil do Jidáše, kterýž sloul Iškariotský, jednoho z počtu dvanácti. 4 A on odšed, mluvil s předními kněžími, a s úředníky nad chrámem, kterak by ho jim zradil. 5 I zradovali se, a smluvili s ním, že mu chtí peníze dáti. 6 A on také jim přiřekl. I hledal příhodného času, aby ho jim zradil bez zástupu. 7 Tedy přišel den přesnic, v kterémžto zabit měl býti beránek. 8 I poslal Ježíš Petra a Jana, řka: Jdouce, připravte nám beránka, abychom jedli. 9 A oni řekli mu: Kde chceš, ať připravíme? 10 On pak řekl k nim: Aj, když vcházeti budete do města, potkáť vás člověk, dčbán vody nesa. Jdětež za ním do domu, do kteréhož vejde. 11 A díte hospodáři toho domu: Vzkazuje tobě Mistr: Kde jest síň, kdežto budu jísti beránka s učedlníky svými? 12 A onť vám ukáže večeřadlo veliké podlážené. Tam připravte. 13 I odšedše, nalezli, jakž jim pověděl, a připravili beránka. 14 A když přišel čas večeře, posadil se za stůl, a dvanácte apoštolů s ním. 15 I řekl jim: Žádostí žádal jsem tohoto beránka jísti s vámi, prve než bych trpěl. 16 Nebo pravímť vám, žeť ho již více nebudu jísti, ažť se naplní v království Božím. 17 A vzav kalich, a díky činiv, řekl: Vezměte jej a dělte mezi sebou. 18 Neboť pravím vám, žeť nebudu píti z plodu vinného kořene, ažť království Boží přijde. 19 A vzav chléb, díky činiv, lámal a dal jim, řka: To jest tělo mé, kteréž se za vás dává. To čiňte na mou památku. 20 Takž také dal jim i kalich, když bylo po večeři, řka: Tento kalich jest nová smlouva v mé krvi, kteráž se za vás vylévá. 21 Ale aj, ruka zrádce mého se mnou jest za stolem. 22 A Syn zajisté člověka jde, tak jakž jest uloženo o něm, ale běda člověku tomu, kterýž ho zrazuje. 23 Tedy oni počali vyhledávati mezi sebou, kdo by z nich byl, kterýž by to měl učiniti. 24 Stal se pak i svár mezi nimi, kdo by z nich zdál se býti větší. 25 On pak řekl jim: Králové národů panují nad nimi, a kteříž moc mají nad nimi, dobrodincové slovou. 26 Ale vy ne tak. Nýbrž kdož větší jest mezi vámi, budiž jako nejmenší, a kdož vůdce jest, budiž jako sloužící. 27 Nebo kdo větší jest, ten-li, kterýž sedí, čili ten, kterýž slouží? Zdali ne ten, kterýž sedí? Ale já mezi vámi jsem jako ten, kterýž slouží. 28 Vy pak jste ti, kteříž jste v mých pokušeních se mnou zůstali. 29 A jáť vám způsobuji, jakož mi způsobil Otec můj, království, 30 Abyste jedli a pili za stolem mým v království mém, a seděli na stolicích, soudíce dvanáctero pokolení Izraelské. 31 I řekl Pán: Šimone, Šimone, aj, satan vyprosil vás, aby vás tříbil jako pšenici. 32 Ale jáť jsem prosil za tebe, aby nezhynula víra tvá. A ty někdy obrátě se, potvrzuj bratří svých. 33 A on řekl jemu: Pane, s tebou hotov jsem i do žaláře i na smrt jíti. 34 On pak dí: Pravím tobě, Petře, nezazpíváť dnes kohout, až prve třikrát zapříš, že neznáš mne. 35 I řekl jim: Když jsem vás posílal bez pytlíka, a bez mošny, a bez obuvi, zdali jste v čem nedostatek měli? A oni řekli: V ničemž. 36 Tedy dí jim: Ale nyní, kdo má pytlík, vezmi jej, a též i mošnu; a kdož nemá, prodej sukni svou, a kup sobě meč. 37 Nebo pravím vám, že se ještě to musí naplniti na mně, což psáno: A s nešlechetnými počten jest. Nebo ty věci, kteréž psány jsou o mně, konec berou. 38 Oni pak řekli: Pane, aj, dva meče teď. A on řekl jim: Dostiť jest. 39 A vyšed podle obyčeje svého, šel na horu Olivovou, a šli za ním i učedlníci jeho. 40 A když přišel na místo, řekl jim: Modlte se, abyste nevešli v pokušení. 41 A sám vzdáliv se od nich, jako by mohl kamenem dohoditi, a poklek na kolena, modlil se, 42 Řka: Otče, chceš-li, přenes kalich tento ode mne, ale však ne má vůle, ale tvá staň se. 43 I ukázal se jemu anděl s nebe, posiluje ho. 44 A jsa v boji, horlivěji se modlil. I učiněn jest pot jeho jako krůpě krve tekoucí na zemi. 45 A vstav od modlitby, a přišed k učedlníkům, nalezl je, ani spí zámutkem. 46 I řekl jim: Co spíte? Vstaňte a modlte se, abyste nevešli v pokušení. 47 A když on ještě mluvil, aj, zástup, a ten, kterýž sloul Jidáš, jeden ze dvanácti, šel napřed, a přiblížil se k Ježíšovi, aby jej políbil. 48 Ježíš pak řekl jemu: Jidáši, políbením Syna člověka zrazuješ? 49 A vidouce ti, kteříž při něm byli, k čemu se chýlí, řekli jemu: Pane, budeme-liž bíti mečem? 50 I udeřil jeden z nich služebníka nejvyššího kněze, a uťal ucho jeho pravé. 51 A Ježíš odpověděv, řekl: Nechtež až potud. A dotkna se ucha jeho, uzdravil jej. 52 I dí Ježíš těm, kteříž přišli k němu, předním kněžím a úředníkům chrámu a starším: Jako na lotra vyšli jste s meči a s kyjmi? 53 Ješto na každý den býval jsem s vámi v chrámě, a nevztáhli jste rukou na mne. Ale totoť jest ta vaše hodina a moc temnosti. 54 A oni javše jej, vedli ho, a uvedli do domu nejvyššího kněze. Petr pak šel za ním zdaleka. 55 A když zanítili oheň uprostřed síně a posadili se vůkol, sedl Petr mezi ně. 56 A uzřevši ho jedna děvečka, an sedí u ohně, a pilně naň pohleděvši, řekla: I tento byl s ním. 57 A on zapřel ho, řka: Ženo, neznám ho. 58 A po malé chvíli jiný, vida jej, řekl: I ty z nich jsi. Petr pak řekl: Ó člověče, nejsem. 59 A potom asi po jedné hodině jiný potvrzoval, řka: V pravdě i tento s ním byl, neb i Galilejský jest. 60 I řekl Petr: Člověče, nevím, co pravíš. A hned, když on ještě mluvil, kohout zazpíval. 61 I obrátiv se Pán, pohleděl na Petra. I rozpomenul se Petr na slovo Páně, kterak jemu byl řekl: Že prve než kohout zazpívá, třikrát mne zapříš. 62 I vyšed ven Petr, plakal hořce. 63 Muži pak ti, kteříž drželi Ježíše, posmívali se jemu, tepouce ho. 64 A zakrývajíce ho, bili jej v tvář, a tázali se ho, řkouce: Prorokuj, kdo jest, kterýž tebe udeřil? 65 A jiného mnoho, rouhajíce se, mluvili proti němu. 66 A když byl den, sešli se starší lidu a přední kněží a zákoníci, a vedli ho do rady své, 67 Řkouce: Jsi-li ty Kristus? Pověz nám! I dí jim: Povím-li vám, nikoli neuvěříte. 68 A pakli se vás co otíži, neodpovíte mi, ani propustíte. 69 Ale od této chvíle Syn člověka sedne na pravici moci Boží. 70 I řekli všickni: Tedy jsi ty Syn Boží? On pak řekl jim: Vy pravíte, že já jsem. 71 A oni řekli: Což ještě potřebujeme svědectví? Však jsme sami slyšeli z úst jeho.

1  Blížil se svátek nekvašených chlebů, Velikonoce. 2  Velekněží a zákoníci přemýšleli, jak by ho zahubili; báli se však lidu.  3  Tu vstoupil satan do Jidáše, nazývaného Iškariotský, který byl z počtu Dvanácti. 4  Odešel, aby se domluvil s velekněžími a veliteli stráže, že jim ho zradí. 5  Oni se zaradovali a dohodli se, že mu dají peníze. 6  Jidáš s tím souhlasil a hledal vhodnou příležitost, aby jim ho vydal, až při tom nebude zástup.  7  Nastal den nekvašených chlebů, kdy měl být zabit velikonoční beránek. 8  Ježíš poslal Petra a Jana a řekl jim: „Jděte a připravte nám beránka, abychom slavili velikonoční večeři.“ 9  Oni mu řekli: „Kde chceš, abychom ji připravili?“ 10  Řekl jim: „Když vejdete do města, potkáte člověka, který nese džbán vody. Jděte za ním do domu, do něhož vejde, a řekněte hospodáři: 11  ‚Mistr ti vzkazuje: Kde je světnice, v níž bych jedl se svými učedníky velikonočního beránka?‘ 12  A on vám ukáže upravenou velkou horní místnost; tam připravte večeři.“ 13  Odešli a nalezli všechno, jak jim řekl, a připravili velikonočního beránka.  14  Když nastala hodina, usedl ke stolu a apoštolové s ním. 15  Řekl jim: „Velice jsem toužil jísti s vámi tohoto beránka, dříve než budu trpět. 16  Neboť vám pravím, že ho již nebudu jíst, dokud vše nedojde naplnění v království Božím.“ 17  Vzal kalich, vzdal díky a řekl: „Vezměte a podávejte mezi sebou. 18  Neboť vám pravím, že od této chvíle nebudu píti z plodu vinné révy, dokud nepřijde království Boží.“ 19  Pak vzal chléb, vzdal díky, lámal a dával jim se slovy: „Toto jest mé tělo, které se za vás vydává. To čiňte na mou památku.“ 20 A právě tak, když bylo po večeři, vzal kalich a řekl: „Tento kalich je nová smlouva zpečetěná mou krví, která se za vás prolévá.“  21  “Avšak hle, můj zrádce je se mnou u stolu. 22  Syn člověka jde, jak je určeno, běda však tomu člověku, který ho zrazuje.“ 23  A oni se začali mezi sebou dohadovat, který z nich je ten, kdo to učiní.  24  Vznikl mezi nimi spor, kdo z nich je asi největší. 25  Řekl jim: „Králové panují nad národy, a ti, kdo jsou u moci, dávají si říkat dobrodinci. 26  Avšak vy ne tak: Kdo mezi vámi je největší, buď jako poslední, a kdo je v čele, buď jako ten, který slouží. 27  Neboť kdo je větší: ten, kdo sedí za stolem, či ten, kdo obsluhuje? Zdali ne ten, kdo sedí za stolem? Ale já jsem mezi vámi jako ten, který slouží. 28  A vy jste ti, kdo se mnou v mých zkouškách vytrvali. 29  Já vám uděluji království, jako je můj Otec udělil mně, 30  abyste v mém království jedli a pili u mého stolu; usednete na trůnech a budete soudit dvanáct pokolení Izraele.“  31  „Šimone, Šimone, hle, satan si vyžádal, aby vás směl tříbit jako pšenici. 32  Já jsem však za tebe prosil, aby tvá víra neselhala; a ty, až se obrátíš, buď posilou svým bratřím.“ 33  Řekl mu: „Pane, s tebou jsem hotov jít i do vězení a na smrt.“ 34  Ježíš mu řekl: „Pravím ti, Petře, ještě se ani kohout dnes neozve, a ty už třikrát zapřeš, že mne znáš.“  35  Řekl jim: „Když jsem vás vyslal bez měšce, mošny a obuvi, měli jste v něčem nedostatek?“ Oni mu odpověděli: „Neměli.“ 36  Řekl jim: „Nyní však, kdo má měšec, vezmi jej a stejně tak i mošnu; kdo nemá, prodej plášť a kup si meč. 37  Pravím vám, že se na mně musí naplnit to, co je psáno: ‚Byl započten mezi zločince.‘ Neboť to, co se na mne vztahuje, dochází svého cíle.“ 38  Oni řekli: „Pane, tu jsou dva meče.“ Na to jim řekl: „To stačí.“  39  Potom se jako obvykle odebral na Olivovou horu; učedníci ho následovali. 40  Když došel na místo, řekl jim: „Modlete se, abyste neupadli do pokušení.“ 41  Pak se od nich vzdálil, co by kamenem dohodil, klekl a modlil se: 42  “Otče, chceš-li, odejmi ode mne tento kalich, ale ne má, nýbrž tvá vůle se staň.“ 43  Tu se mu zjevil anděl z nebe a dodával mu síly. 44  Ježíš v úzkostech zápasil a modlil se ještě usilovněji; jeho pot kanul na zem jako krůpěje krve. 45  Pak vstal od modlitby, přišel k učedníkům a shledal, že zármutkem usnuli. 46  Řekl jim: „Jak to, že spíte? Vstaňte a modlete se, abyste neupadli do pokušení.“  47  Ještě ani nedomluvil a hle, zástup, a vpředu ten, který se jmenoval Jidáš, jeden ze Dvanácti; přistoupil k Ježíšovi, aby ho políbil. 48 Ježíš mu řekl: „Jidáši, políbením zrazuješ Syna člověka?“ 49  Když ti, kteří byli s Ježíšem, viděli, co nastává, řekli: „Pane, máme se bít mečem?“ 50  A jeden z nich napadl sluhu veleknězova a uťal mu pravé ucho. 51  Ježíš však řekl: „Přestaňte s tím!“ Dotkl se jeho ucha a uzdravil ho. 52  Pak řekl Ježíš těm, kteří na něho přišli, kněžím, velitelům stráže a starším: „Jako na povstalce jste na mne vyšli s meči a holemi. 53  Denně jsem byl mezi vámi v chrámě, a nevztáhli jste na mne ruce. Ale toto je vaše hodina, vláda tmy.“  54  Pak ho zatkli a odvedli do veleknězova domu. Petr šel zpovzdálí za nimi. 55  Když zapálili uprostřed nádvoří oheň a sesedli se okolo, přisedl mezi ně i Petr. 56  A jak seděl tváří k ohni, všimla si ho jedna služka, pozorně se na něj podívala a řekla: „Tenhle byl také s ním!“ 57  Ale on zapřel: „Vůbec ho neznám.“ 58  Zakrátko jej spatřil někdo jiný a řekl: „Ty jsi také z nich.“ Petr odpověděl: „Nejsem!“ 59  Když uplynula asi hodina, tvrdil zase někdo: „I tenhle byl určitě s ním, vždyť je z Galileje!“ 60  Petr řekl: „Vůbec nevím, o čem mluvíš!“ A ihned, ještě než domluvil, zakokrhal kohout. 61  Tu se Pán obrátil a pohleděl na Petra; a Petr se rozpomenul na slovo, které mu Pán řekl: „Dřív než dnes kohout zakokrhá, zapřeš mne třikrát.“ 62  Vyšel ven a hořce se rozplakal.  63  Muži, kteří Ježíše hlídali, posmívali se mu a bili ho; 64  zavázali mu oči a ptali se ho: „Hádej, proroku, kdo tě uhodil.“ 65  A ještě mnoha jinými slovy ho uráželi.  66  Jakmile nastal den, shromáždili se starší lidu, velekněží a zákoníci, odvedli ho před svou radu a řekli mu: 67  “Jsi-li Mesiáš, pověz nám to.“ Odpověděl jim: „I když vám to řeknu, neuvěříte. 68  Položím-li otázku já vám, neodpovíte. 69  Ale od této chvíle bude Syn člověka sedět po pravici všemohoucího Boha.“ 70  Tu řekli všichni: „Jsi tedy Syn Boží?“ On jim odpověděl: „Vy sami říkáte, že já jsem.“ 71  Oni řekli: „Nač ještě potřebujeme svědectví? Vždyť jsme to slyšeli z jeho úst.“

1 Blížil se Svátek nekvašených chlebů, zvaný také Velikonoce. 2 Vrchní kněží a znalci Písma hledali způsob, jak ho zabít, ale báli se lidu. 3 Tehdy vstoupil satan do Jidáše zvaného Iškariotský, který patřil ke Dvanácti. 4 Odešel a domluvil se s vrchními kněžími a s veliteli chrámové stráže, jak jim ho zradí. 5 Ti se zaradovali a dohodli se s ním, že mu dají peníze. 6 Jidáš souhlasil a začal hledat příležitost, aby jim ho zradil někde mimo zástup. 7 Tak přišel Den nekvašených chlebů, kdy měl být zabit beránek. 8 Ježíš poslal Petra a Jana se slovy: „Jděte nám připravit beránka k velikonoční večeři.“ 9 „Kde ho máme připravit?“ zeptali se. 10 Odpověděl: „Jen co vejdete do města, potká vás člověk nesoucí džbán vody. Až vejde do domu, jděte za ním. 11 Tam řekněte hospodáři: ‚Mistr se ptá: Kde je místnost, v níž bych se svými učedníky pojedl beránka?‘ 12 On vám pak ukáže velikou horní místnost prostřenou k jídlu. Tam připravte večeři.“ 13 Odešli tedy, nalezli všechno tak, jak jim řekl, a připravili beránka. 14 Když pak nadešla ta chvíle, posadil se s apoštoly za stůl. 15 Tehdy jim řekl: „Toužebně jsem si přál jíst s vámi tohoto beránka předtím, než budu trpět. 16 Říkám vám, že už ho neokusím, dokud nedojde naplnění v Božím království.“ 17 Uchopil kalich, vzdal díky a řekl: „Vezměte jej a rozdělte se spolu. 18 Říkám vám, že už neokusím plod vinné révy, dokud nepřijde Boží království.“ 19 Vzal chléb, vzdal díky, lámal a dal jim ho se slovy: „To je mé tělo,[1] které se dává za vás. To čiňte na mou památku.“ 20 Právě tak vzal po večeři kalich se slovy: „Tento kalich je nová smlouva v mé krvi, která se prolévá za vás. 21 Pohleďte ale – ruka mého zrádce je na stole vedle mé. 22 Syn člověka sice odchází, jak je určeno, ale běda tomu, kdo jej zrazuje.“ 23 Začali se tedy dohadovat, kdo z nich že se to chystá udělat. 24 Vznikl mezi nimi také spor, kdo z nich je asi největší. 25 On jim na to řekl: „Králové národů nad nimi panují a ti, kdo je ovládají, si nechají říkat dobrodinci. 26 Vy to tak ale nedělejte. Naopak, kdo je mezi vámi největší, ať je jako nejmenší a vedoucí ať je jako sloužící. 27 Vždyť kdo je větší – ten, kdo sedí, nebo ten, kdo slouží? Zdali ne ten, který sedí? Já jsem ale mezi vámi jako ten, který slouží. 28 Vy jste ti, kdo se mnou zůstali v mých zkouškách, 29 a já vám odkazuji království, jako je můj Otec odkázal mně. 30 V mém království budete jíst a pít u mého stolu; budete sedět na trůnech a soudit dvanáct pokolení Izraele. 31 Šimone, Šimone, hle, satan si vyžádal, aby vás tříbil jako pšenici. 32 Prosil jsem ale za tebe, aby tvá víra neselhala. Až se jednou obrátíš, posiluj své bratry.“ 33 „Pane,“ zvolal Petr, „s tebou jsem připraven jít i do vězení, i na smrt!“ 34 On mu však odpověděl: „Říkám ti, Petře, než ráno zakokrhá kohout, třikrát zapřeš, že mě znáš.“ 35 Zeptal se jich: „Když jsem vás poslal bez měšce, mošny a obuvi, scházelo vám něco?“ „Ne, vůbec nic,“ odpověděli. 36 Řekl jim: „Teď ale, kdo má měšec, ať si ho vezme, a také mošnu. Kdo nemá meč, ať prodá plášť a koupí si jej. 37 Říkám vám, že se na mně musí naplnit ještě toto Písmo: ‚Byl započten mezi zločince.‘[2] Naplňuje se totiž, co je o mně psáno.“ 38 Řekli mu: „Pane, podívej se, máme dva meče!“ „To stačí,“ odpověděl. 39 Vyšel ven a podle svého zvyku se odebral na Olivetskou horu. Učedníci ho následovali. 40 Když přišel na místo, řekl jim: „Modlete se, abyste nepodlehli pokušení.“ 41 Sám se vzdálil, co by kamenem dohodil, padl na kolena a modlil se: 42 „Otče, pokud chceš, odejmi ode mě tento kalich. Ať se však nestane má vůle, ale tvá!“ 43 Tehdy se mu ukázal anděl z nebe a posiloval ho. 44 Ve smrtelném zápasu se tedy modlil ještě vroucněji a jeho pot stékal na zem jako krůpěje krve.[3] 45 Když vstal od modlitby a přišel k učedníkům, zjistil, že pod tíhou zármutku usnuli. 46 „Jak to, že spíte?“ řekl jim. „Vstaňte a modlete se, abyste nepodlehli pokušení.“ 47 Ještě to ani nedořekl a byl tu houf lidí v čele s Jidášem, jedním z Dvanácti. Přistoupil k Ježíšovi, aby ho políbil, 48 ale ten mu řekl: „Jidáši, zrazuješ Syna člověka polibkem?“ 49 Jeho druhové pochopili, k čemu se schyluje. „Pane,“ vykřikli, „máme se bít mečem?“ 50 Jeden z nich zasáhl veleknězova sluhu a usekl mu pravé ucho. 51 „Nechte už toho!“ odpověděl Ježíš. Dotkl se jeho ucha a uzdravil ho. 52 Tehdy Ježíš řekl vrchním kněžím, velitelům chrámové stráže a starším, kteří na něj přišli: „Jsem snad zločinec, že jste se na mě vypravili s meči a holemi? 53 Denně jsem s vámi býval v chrámu, a ani jste se mě nedotkli. Ale toto je vaše chvíle – vláda temnoty.“ 54 Tak ho zatkli a odvedli do domu nejvyššího kněze. Petr ho ale zpovzdálí následoval. 55 Když uprostřed dvora zapálili oheň a sesedli se okolo, posadil se mezi ně i Petr. 56 Jak seděl tváří k ohni, jedna služka si ho všimla, upřeně se na něj podívala a řekla: „Tenhle byl také s ním.“ 57 On to ale zapřel: „Já ho neznám, ženo!“ 58 Po chvilce si ho všiml jiný a řekl: „Ty jsi také jeden z nich.“ „Nejsem, člověče!“ opakoval Petr. 59 Když uplynula asi hodina, začal někdo jiný tvrdit: „Tenhle s ním určitě byl také – vždyť je to Galilejec!“ 60 Petr ale řekl: „Nevím, o čem mluvíš, člověče!“ A vtom, ještě než to dořekl, zakokrhal kohout. 61 Pán se obrátil a podíval se na Petra. Ten si vzpomněl, jak mu Pán říkal: „Dříve než se ozve kohout, třikrát mě zapřeš.“ 62 Vyšel ven a hořce se rozplakal. 63 Ti, kdo Ježíše hlídali, se mu posmívali a tloukli ho. 64 Zavázali mu oči a ptali se: „Prorokuj, kdo tě udeřil?“ 65 Přitom ho zasypávali sprostými nadávkami. 66 Jakmile se rozednilo, sešli se starší lidu, vrchní kněží i znalci Písma a odvedli ho do své Velerady. 67 Vyzvali ho: „Jestli jsi Mesiáš, řekni nám to!“ „Kdybych vám to řekl, stejně neuvěříte,“ odpověděl Ježíš. 68 „A kdybych se vás zeptal, stejně mi neodpovíte. 69 Od této chvíle bude Syn člověka sedět po pravici Boží moci.“[4] 70 „Takže jsi Boží Syn?“ řekli všichni. „Sami říkáte, že jsem,“ odpověděl Ježíš. 71 Na to zvolali: „K čemu ještě potřebujeme svědectví? Vždyť jsme to sami slyšeli z jeho úst!“

(Mt 26,14; Mk 14,10; J 13,2) 4 Judas ging zu den Hohepriestern und den Hauptleuten und beriet mit ihnen, wie er Jesus an sie ausliefern könnte. 5 Da freuten sie sich und kamen mit ihm überein, ihm Geld zu geben. 6 Er sagte zu und suchte nach einer günstigen Gelegenheit, ihn an sie auszuliefern, ohne dass das Volk es merkte. 7 Dann kam der Tag der Ungesäuerten Brote, an dem das Paschalamm geschlachtet werden musste. (Ex 12,14; Mt 26,17; Mk 14,12) 8 Jesus sandte Petrus und Johannes aus und sagte: Geht und bereitet das Paschamahl für uns vor, damit wir es essen können! 9 Sie fragten ihn: Wo sollen wir es vorbereiten? 10 Er antwortete ihnen: Siehe, wenn ihr in die Stadt kommt, wird euch ein Mann begegnen, der einen Wasserkrug trägt. Folgt ihm in das Haus, in das er hineingeht, 11 und sagt zu dem Herrn des Hauses: Der Meister lässt dich fragen: Wo ist der Raum, in dem ich mit meinen Jüngern das Paschalamm essen kann? 12 Und der Hausherr wird euch einen großen Raum im Obergeschoss zeigen, der mit Polstern ausgestattet ist. Dort bereitet es vor! 13 Sie gingen und fanden alles so, wie er es ihnen gesagt hatte, und bereiteten das Paschamahl vor. 14 Als die Stunde gekommen war, legte er sich mit den Aposteln zu Tisch. (Mt 26,20; Mk 14,17) 15 Und er sagte zu ihnen: Mit großer Sehnsucht habe ich danach verlangt, vor meinem Leiden dieses Paschamahl mit euch zu essen. 16 Denn ich sage euch: Ich werde es nicht mehr essen, bis es seine Erfüllung findet im Reich Gottes. 17 Und er nahm einen Kelch, sprach das Dankgebet und sagte: Nehmt diesen und teilt ihn untereinander! 18 Denn ich sage euch: Von nun an werde ich nicht mehr von der Frucht des Weinstocks trinken, bis das Reich Gottes kommt. 19 Und er nahm Brot, sprach das Dankgebet, brach es und reichte es ihnen mit den Worten: Das ist mein Leib, der für euch hingegeben wird. Tut dies zu meinem Gedächtnis! (1K 11,23) 20 Ebenso nahm er nach dem Mahl den Kelch und sagte: Dieser Kelch ist der neue Bund in meinem Blut, das für euch vergossen wird. (Ex 24,8; Jr 31,31) 21 Doch siehe, die Hand dessen, der mich ausliefert, ist mit mir am Tisch. (J 13,2) 22 Der Menschensohn muss zwar den Weg gehen, der ihm bestimmt ist. Aber weh dem Menschen, durch den er ausgeliefert wird! 23 Da fragte einer den andern, wer von ihnen das wohl sei, der dies tun werde. 24 Es entstand unter ihnen ein Streit darüber, wer von ihnen wohl der Größte sei. (Mt 18,1; Mt 20,24; Mk 9,33; Mk 10,41; L 9,46) 25 Da sagte Jesus zu ihnen: Die Könige herrschen über ihre Völker und die Vollmacht über sie haben, lassen sich Wohltäter nennen. 26 Bei euch aber soll es nicht so sein, sondern der Größte unter euch soll werden wie der Jüngste und der Führende soll werden wie der Dienende. (J 13,1) 27 Denn wer ist größer: Der bei Tisch sitzt oder der bedient? Ist es nicht der, der bei Tisch sitzt? Ich aber bin unter euch wie der, der bedient. 28 Ihr aber habt in meinen Prüfungen bei mir ausgeharrt. 29 Darum vermache ich euch das Reich, wie es mein Vater mir vermacht hat: 30 Ihr sollt in meinem Reich an meinem Tisch essen und trinken und ihr sollt auf Thronen sitzen und die zwölf Stämme Israels richten. Und wenn du wieder umgekehrt bist, dann stärke deine Brüder! (Mt 16,18; J 21,15) 33 Darauf sagte Petrus zu ihm: Herr, ich bin bereit, mit dir sogar ins Gefängnis und in den Tod zu gehen. Er näherte sich Jesus, um ihn zu küssen. (Mt 26,47; Mk 14,43; J 18,12) 48 Jesus aber sagte zu ihm: Judas, mit einem Kuss lieferst du den Menschensohn aus? 49 Als seine Begleiter merkten, was bevorstand, fragten sie: Herr, sollen wir mit dem Schwert dreinschlagen? 50 Und einer von ihnen schlug auf den Diener des Hohepriesters ein und hieb ihm das rechte Ohr ab. 51 Da sagte Jesus: Lasst es! Nicht weiter! Und er berührte das Ohr und heilte den Mann. 52 Zu den Hohepriestern aber, den Hauptleuten der Tempelwache und den Ältesten, die vor ihm standen, sagte Jesus: Wie gegen einen Räuber seid ihr mit Schwertern und Knüppeln ausgezogen. 53 Tag für Tag war ich bei euch im Tempel und ihr habt nicht Hand an mich gelegt. Aber das ist eure Stunde und die Macht der Finsternis. (L 19,47; L 21,37; J 18,20) 54 Darauf nahmen sie ihn fest, führten ihn ab und brachten ihn in das Haus des Hohepriesters. Petrus folgte von Weitem. 55 Mitten im Hof hatte man ein Feuer angezündet und Petrus setzte sich zu den Leuten, die dort beieinandersaßen. 56 Eine Magd sah ihn am Feuer sitzen, schaute ihn genau an und sagte: Der war auch mit ihm zusammen. 57 Petrus aber leugnete es und sagte: Frau, ich kenne ihn nicht. 58 Kurz danach sah ihn ein anderer und bemerkte: Du gehörst auch zu ihnen. Petrus aber sagte: Nein, Mensch, ich nicht! 59 Etwa eine Stunde später behauptete wieder einer: Wahrhaftig, der war auch mit ihm zusammen; er ist doch auch ein Galiläer. 60 Petrus aber erwiderte: Mensch, ich weiß nicht, wovon du sprichst. Im gleichen Augenblick, noch während er redete, krähte ein Hahn. 61 Da wandte sich der Herr um und blickte Petrus an. Und Petrus erinnerte sich an das Wort, das der Herr zu ihm gesagt hatte: Ehe heute der Hahn kräht, wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen. (L 22,34) 62 Und er ging hinaus und weinte bitterlich. 63 Die Männer, die Jesus bewachten, trieben ihren Spott mit ihm. Sie schlugen ihn, 64 verhüllten ihm das Gesicht und fragten ihn: Du bist doch ein Prophet, sag uns: Wer hat dich geschlagen? 65 Und noch viele andere Lästerungen stießen sie gegen ihn aus. 66 Als es Tag wurde, versammelte sich der Ältestenrat des Volkes, die Hohepriester und die Schriftgelehrten und sie ließen Jesus vor ihren Hohen Rat führen. (Mt 26,57; Mk 14,53; J 18,19) 67 Sie sagten zu ihm: Wenn du der Christus bist, dann sag es uns! Er antwortete ihnen: Wenn ich es euch sage, glaubt ihr mir ja doch nicht; (L 9,20; J 10,24) 68 und wenn ich euch etwas frage, antwortet ihr nicht. 69 Von nun an wird der Menschensohn zur Rechten der Macht Gottes sitzen. (Ž 110,1; Da 7,13) 70 Da sagten alle: Du bist also der Sohn Gottes? Er antwortete ihnen: Ihr sagt es - ich bin es. 71 Da riefen sie: Wozu brauchen wir noch eine Zeugenaussage? Wir haben es selbst aus seinem Mund gehört.

(Mt 21,46; J 11,53) 3 Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve. (Mt 26,14; Mt 27,3; Mk 14,10; L 6,16; J 6,71; J 12,4; J 13,2; J 13,27; J 13,30; Sk 1,16; Sk 5,3) 4 He went away and conferred with the chief priests and officers how he might betray him to them. (Mt 26,3; Mt 26,69; Mk 14,66; J 18,16; J 18,25) 56 Then a servant girl, seeing him as he sat in the light and looking closely at him, said, “This man also was with him.” 57 But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I do not know him.” 58 And a little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.” 59 And after an interval of about an hour still another insisted, saying, “Certainly this man also was with him, for he too is a Galilean.” (Sk 12,15) 60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. 61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.” (Mk 10,21; L 22,34; Sk 3,13) 62 And he went out and wept bitterly. 63 Now the men who were holding Jesus in custody were mocking him as they beat him. Who is it that struck you?” (L 7,39; L 22,63) 65 And they said many other things against him, blaspheming him. (Mt 27,39) 66 When day came, the assembly of the elders of the people gathered together, both chief priests and scribes. And he said unto them, It is enough. 39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. 40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. 45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. 47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. 48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? 49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? 50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. 51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him. 52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? 53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness. 54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off. 55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them. 56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him. 57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not. 58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not. 59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean. 60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew. 61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. 62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly. 63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him. 64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee? 65 And many other things blasphemously spake they against him. 66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying, 67 Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe: 68 And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go. 69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. 70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. 71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.
