1 Když pakty věci pominuly, zkusil Bůh Abrahama, a řekl k němu: Abrahame! Kterýžto odpověděl: Teď jsem. 2 I řekl: Vezmi nyní syna svého, toho jediného svého, kteréhož miluješ, Izáka, a jdi do země Moria; a obětuj ho tam v obět zápalnou na jedné hoře, o níž povím tobě. 3 Tedy vstav Abraham velmi ráno, osedlal osla svého a vzal dva služebníky své s sebou, a Izáka syna svého; a nasekav dříví k oběti zápalné, vstal a bral se k místu, o němž pověděl mu Bůh. 4 Třetího pak dne pozdvihl Abraham očí svých, a uzřel to místo zdaleka. 5 A řekl Abraham služebníkům svým: Pozůstaňte vy tuto s oslem, já pak a dítě půjdeme tamto; a pomodlíce se, navrátíme se k vám. 6 Tedy vzal Abraham dříví k zápalné oběti, a vložil je na Izáka syna svého; sám pak nesl v ruce své oheň a meč. I šli oba spolu. 7 Mluvě pak Izák Abrahamovi otci svému, řekl: Otče můj! Kterýž odpověděl: Co chceš, synu můj? A řekl: Aj, teď oheň a dříví, a kdež hovádko k zápalné oběti? 8 Odpověděl Abraham: Bůh opatří sobě hovádko k oběti zápalné,synu můj. A šli předce oba spolu. 9 A když přišli k místu, o němž mu byl mluvil Bůh, udělal tu Abraham oltář, a srovnal dříví; a svázav syna svého, vložil ho na oltář na dříví. 10 I vztáhl Abraham ruku svou, a vzal meč, aby zabil syna svého. 11 Tedy zavolal na něho anděl Hospodinův s nebe a řekl: Abrahame, Abrahame! Kterýžto odpověděl: Aj, já. 12 I řekl jemu: Nevztahuj ruky své na dítě, aniž mu co čiň; neboť jsem již poznal, že se Boha bojíš, když jsi neodpustil synu svému, jedinému svému pro mne. 13 A pozdvih Abraham očí svých, viděl, a hle, skopec za ním vězel v trní za rohy své. I šel Abraham a vzal skopce toho, a obětoval jej v obět zápalnou místo syna svého. 14 A nazval Abraham jméno místa toho: Hospodin opatří. Odkudž říká se do dnes: Na hoře Hospodinově opatří se. 15 Zvolal pak anděl Hospodinův na Abrahama podruhé s nebe, 16 A řekl: Skrze sebe samého přisáhl jsem, praví Hospodin, poněvadž jsi učinil tu věc, že jsi neodpustil synu svému, jedinému svému: 17 Požehnám velmi tobě, a velice rozmnožím símě tvé jako hvězdy nebeské, a jako písek, kterýž jest na břehu mořském; nadto dědičně vládnouti bude símě tvé branami nepřátel svých. 18 Ano požehnáni budou v semeni tvém všickni národové země, proto že jsi uposlechl hlasu mého. 19 Tedy navrátil se Abraham k služebníkům svým; a vstavše, šli spolu do Bersabé; nebo bydlil Abraham v Bersabé. 20 A když se tyto věci staly, zvěstováno jest Abrahamovi v tato slova: Aj, porodila také Melcha syny Náchorovi, bratru tvému: 21 Husa prvorozeného svého, a Buza bratra jeho, a Chamuele, otce Aramova; 22 A Kazeda a Azana, a Feldasa, a Jidlafa i Bathuele. 23 Bathuel pak zplodil Rebeku. Osm těchto porodila Melcha Náchorovi, bratru Abrahamovu. 24 Ale i ženina jeho, jejíž jméno bylo Réma, porodila také ona Tábe a Gahama, Thása a Máchu.

— Obětování jediného syna - Abraham obstojí ve zkoušce poslušnosti. Znovu dostává Izáka, zaslíbení i předzvěst jeho naplnění.

1 Po těch událostech chtěl Bůh Abrahama vyzkoušet. Řekl mu: „Abrahame!“ Ten odvětil: „Tu jsem.“ 2 A Bůh řekl: „Vezmi svého jediného syna Izáka, kterého miluješ, odejdi do země Mórija a tam ho obětuj jako oběť zápalnou na jedné hoře, o níž ti povím!“ 3 Za časného jitra osedlal tedy Abraham osla, vzal s sebou dva své služebníky a svého syna Izáka, naštípal dříví k zápalné oběti a vydal se k místu, o němž mu Bůh pověděl. 4 Když se Abraham třetího dne rozhlédl a spatřil v dálce to místo, 5 řekl služebníkům: „Počkejte tu s oslem, já s chlapcem půjdeme dále, vzdáme poctu Bohu a pak se k vám vrátíme.“ 6 Abraham vzal dříví k oběti zápalné a vložil je na svého syna Izáka; sám vzal oheň a obětní nůž. A šli oba pospolu. 7 Tu Izák svého otce Abrahama oslovil: „Otče!“ Ten odvětil: „Copak, můj synu?“ Izák se otázal: „Hle, oheň a dříví je zde. Kde však je beránek k zápalné oběti?“ 8 Nato Abraham řekl: „Můj synu, Bůh sám si vyhlédne beránka k oběti zápalné.“ A šli oba spolu dál. 9 Když přišli na místo, o němž mu Bůh pověděl, vybudoval tam Abraham oltář, narovnal dříví, svázal svého syna Izáka do kozelce a položil ho na oltář, nahoru na dříví. 10 I vztáhl Abraham ruku po obětním noži, aby svého syna zabil jako obětního beránka. 11 Vtom na něho z nebe volá Hospodinův posel: „Abrahame, Abrahame!“ Ten odvětil: „Tu jsem.“ 12 A posel řekl: „Nevztahuj na chlapce ruku, nic mu nedělej! Právě teď jsem poznal, že jsi bohabojný, neboť jsi mi neodepřel svého jediného syna.“ 13 Abraham se rozhlédl a vidí, že vzadu je beran, který uvízl svými rohy v houští. Šel tedy, vzal berana a obětoval jej v zápalnou oběť místo svého syna. 14 Tomu místu dal Abraham jméno „Hospodin vidí“. Dosud se tu říká: „Na hoře Hospodinově se uvidí.“ 15 Hospodinův posel zavolal pak z nebe na Abrahama podruhé: 16 „Přisáhl jsem při sobě, je výrok Hospodinův, protože jsi to učinil a neodepřel jsi mi svého jediného syna, 17 jistotně ti požehnám a tvé potomstvo jistotně rozmnožím jako nebeské hvězdy a jako písek na mořském břehu. Tvé potomstvo obdrží bránu svých nepřátel 18 a ve tvém potomku dojdou požehnání všechny pronárody země, protože jsi uposlechl mého hlasu.“ 19 Abraham se pak vrátil k služebníkům. Vydali se spolu na cestu do Beer-šeby, neboť tam Abraham sídlil. 20 Po těchto událostech bylo Abrahamovi oznámeno: „Hle, také Milka porodila tvému bratru Náchorovi syny: 21 prvorozeného Úsa a jeho bratra Búza, též Kemúela, otce Aramova, 22 Keseda a Chazóa, Pildáše, Jidláfa a Betúela. 23 Betúel pak zplodil Rebeku.“ Těch osm porodila Milka Abrahamovu bratru Náchorovi. 24 Jeho ženina jménem Reúma také porodila, a to Tabecha a Gachama, Tachaše a Maaku.

1 Po nějaké době se Bůh rozhodl Abrahama vyzkoušet. Zavolal: „Abrahame!“ „Zde jsem,“ odpověděl. 2 Bůh řekl: „Vezmi svého syna, svého jediného, svého milovaného Izáka, a jdi do země Moria. Tam ho obětuj jako zápalnou oběť na hoře, kterou ti určím.“ 3 Druhý den brzy ráno Abraham vstal, osedlal svého osla, vzal s sebou dva služebníky a svého syna Izáka. Nasekal dříví pro zápalnou oběť a vypravil se k místu, jež mu Bůh určil. 4 Třetího dne Abraham pozvedl oči a spatřil to místo v dálce. 5 Tehdy řekl svým služebníkům: „Zůstaňte tu s oslem. Já a chlapec půjdeme až tam, pokloníme se Bohu a vrátíme se k vám.“ 6 Abraham vzal dříví pro zápalnou oběť a naložil je na svého syna Izáka. Sám nesl v ruce oheň a nůž. A tak šli oba spolu. 7 „Otče,“ oslovil Izák svého otce Abrahama. „Ano, můj synu?“ odpověděl mu. „Vidím oheň a dřevo,“ řekl Izák. „Kde je ale beránek k zápalné oběti?“ 8 „Bůh si opatří beránka k zápalné oběti, můj synu,“ odpověděl Abraham. A tak šli oba spolu. 9 Když přišli na místo, jež mu Bůh určil, Abraham tam postavil oltář a narovnal dřevo. Pak svázal svého syna Izáka a položil ho na dřevo na oltáři. 10 Abraham vztáhl ruku a vzal nůž, aby svého syna podřízl. 11 Vtom na něj z nebe zavolal Hospodinův anděl: „Abrahame! Abrahame!“ „Zde jsem,“ odpověděl. 12 „Nevztahuj ruku na chlapce!“ řekl on. „Nic mu nedělej! Už jsem poznal, že jsi bohabojný – vždyť jsi kvůli mně neušetřil svého syna, svého jediného.“ 13 Abraham tedy vzhlédl a hle, uviděl za sebou berana uvízlého za rohy v křoví. Abraham tedy šel, vzal toho berana a obětoval ho jako zápalnou oběť místo svého syna. 14 To místo pak Abraham nazval „Hospodin opatří,“ takže se dodnes říká: „Na Hospodinově hoře se opatří.“ 15 Hospodinův anděl pak na Abrahama zavolal z nebe podruhé: 16 „Přísahám při sobě samém, praví Hospodin, protože jsi učinil tuto věc a neušetřil jsi svého syna, svého jediného: 17 Nesmírně ti požehnám a nesmírně rozmnožím tvé símě – jako hvězdy na nebi a jako písek na břehu moře. Tvé símě ovládne brány svých nepřátel 18 a ve tvém semeni dojdou požehnání všechny národy země, protože jsi uposlechl můj hlas.“ 19 Nato se Abraham vrátil ke svým služebníkům a odešli spolu do Beer-šeby. Abraham potom bydlel v Beer-šebě.

Náchorovo potomstvo

20 Po nějaké době bylo Abrahamovi oznámeno: „Hle, také Milka porodila syny tvému bratru Náchorovi: 21 svého prvorozeného Úce, jeho bratra Búze a Kemuele (otce Aramova), 22 Keseda, Chazoa, Pildaše, Jidlafa a Betuela.“ 23 (A Betuel zplodil Rebeku.) Těchto osm synů porodila Abrahamovu bratru Náchorovi Milka. 24 Také jeho družka jménem Reuma rodila děti: Tebacha, Gachama, Tachaše a Maaku.

Die Erprobung Abrahams

1 Nach diesen Ereignissen stellte Gott Abraham auf die Probe. Er sprach zu ihm: Abraham! Er sagte: Hier bin ich. (2Pa 3,1) 3 Frühmorgens stand Abraham auf, sattelte seinen Esel, nahm zwei seiner Jungknechte mit sich und seinen Sohn Isaak, spaltete Holz zum Brandopfer und machte sich auf den Weg zu dem Ort, den ihm Gott genannt hatte. (Gn 21,14) 4 Als Abraham am dritten Tag seine Augen erhob, sah er den Ort von Weitem. 5 Da sagte Abraham zu seinen Jungknechten: Bleibt mit dem Esel hier! Ich aber und der Knabe, wir wollen dorthin gehen und uns niederwerfen; dann wollen wir zu euch zurückkehren. 6 Abraham nahm das Holz für das Brandopfer und lud es seinem Sohn Isaak auf. Er selbst nahm das Feuer und das Messer in die Hand. So gingen beide miteinander. 7 Da sprach Isaak zu seinem Vater Abraham. Er sagte: Mein Vater! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich, mein Sohn! Dann sagte Isaak: Hier ist Feuer und Holz. Wo aber ist das Lamm für das Brandopfer? 8 Abraham sagte: Gott wird sich das Lamm für das Brandopfer ausersehen, mein Sohn. Und beide gingen miteinander weiter. 9 Als sie an den Ort kamen, den ihm Gott genannt hatte, baute Abraham dort den Altar, schichtete das Holz auf, band seinen Sohn Isaak und legte ihn auf den Altar, oben auf das Holz. 10 Abraham streckte seine Hand aus und nahm das Messer, um seinen Sohn zu schlachten. Denn jetzt weiß ich, dass du Gott fürchtest; du hast mir deinen Sohn, deinen einzigen, nicht vorenthalten. (Gn 16,13) 15 Der Engel des HERRN rief Abraham zum zweiten Mal vom Himmel her zu 16 und sprach: Ich habe bei mir geschworen - Spruch des HERRN: Weil du das getan hast und deinen Sohn, deinen einzigen, mir nicht vorenthalten hast, 17 will ich dir Segen schenken in Fülle und deine Nachkommen überaus zahlreich machen wie die Sterne am Himmel und den Sand am Meeresstrand. 18 Segnen werden sich mit deinen Nachkommen alle Völker der Erde, weil du auf meine Stimme gehört hast. (Gn 18,18) 19 Darauf kehrte Abraham zu seinen Jungknechten zurück. Sie machten sich auf und gingen miteinander nach Beerscheba. Abraham blieb in Beerscheba wohnen.

Die Nachkommen Nahors

20 Nach diesen Ereignissen meldete man Abraham: Siehe, auch Milka hat deinem Bruder Nahor Söhne geboren: (Gn 11,29) 21 Uz, seinen Erstgeborenen, dessen Bruder Bus und Kemuël, den Stammvater der Aramäer, 22 ferner Kesed, Haso, Pildasch, Jidlaf und Betuël. 23 Betuël zeugte Rebekka. Diese acht gebar Milka dem Nahor, dem Bruder Abrahams. (Gn 24,1) 24 Er hatte noch eine Nebenfrau namens Rëuma. Auch sie bekam Kinder, nämlich Tebach, Gaham, Tahasch und Maacha.

And he cut the wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. 4 On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from afar. 5 Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; I and the boy^[1] will go over there and worship and come again to you.” 6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son. 9 When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built the altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 19 So Abraham returned to his young men, and they arose and went together to Beersheba. And Abraham lived at Beersheba. (Gn 21,31) 20 Now after these things it was told to Abraham, “Behold, Milcah also has borne children to your brother Nahor: (Gn 11,29) 21 Uz his firstborn, Buz his brother, Kemuel the father of Aram, (Jb 1,1; Jr 25,23) 22 Chesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, and Bethuel.” 23 (Bethuel fathered Rebekah.)
