1Navštívil pak Hospodin Sáru, tak jakž byl řekl; a učinil Hospodin Sáře, jakož byl mluvil.2Nebo počala a porodila Sára Abrahamovi syna v starosti jeho, v ten čas, kterýž předpověděl Bůh.3A nazval Abraham jméno syna svého, kterýž se mu narodil, jehož porodila Sára, Izák.4A obřezal Abraham syna svého Izáka, když byl v osmi dnech, tak jakž mu byl přikázal Bůh.5Byl pak Abraham ve stu letech, když se mu narodil Izák syn jeho.6I řekla Sára: Radost mi učinil Bůh; kdokoli uslyší, radovati se bude spolu se mnou.7A přidala: Kdo by byl řekl Abrahamovi, že bude Sára děti kojiti? A však jsem porodila syna v starosti jeho.8I rostlo dítě a ostaveno jest. Tedy učinil Abraham veliké hody v ten den, v němž ostaven byl Izák.9Viděla pak Sára, že syn Agar Egyptské, kteréhož porodila Abrahamovi, jest posměvač.10I řekla Abrahamovi: Vyvrz děvku tuto i syna jejího; neboť nebude dědicem syn děvky té s synem mým Izákem.11Ale Abraham velmi těžce nesl tu řeč, pro syna svého.12I řekl Bůh Abrahamovi: Nestěžuj sobě o dítěti a o děvce své; cožkoli řekla tobě Sára, povol řeči její, nebo v Izákovi nazváno bude tobě símě.13A však i syna děvky učiním v národ; nebo tvé símě jest.14Vstal tedy Abraham velmi ráno, a vzav chléb a láhvici vody, dal Agar a vložil na rameno její, a pustil ji od sebe i s dítětem. Kterážto odešla a chodila po poušti Bersabé.15A když nebylo vody v láhvici, povrhla dítě pod jedním stromem.16A odšedši, sedla naproti tak daleko, jako by mohl z lučiště dostřeliti; nebo pravila: Nebudu se dívati na smrt dítěte. Seděla tedy naproti, a pozdvihši hlasu svého, plakala.17I uslyšel Bůh hlas dítěte; a anděl Boží s nebe zavolal na Agar, a řekl jí: Coť jest, Agar? Neboj se; nebo Bůh uslyšel hlas dítěte z místa, na kterémž jest.18Vstaň, vezmi dítě, a ujmi je rukou svou; nebo v národ veliký učiním je.19A otevřel Bůh oči její, aby uzřela studnici vody. I šla a naplnila láhvici vodou, a napojila dítě.20A Bůh byl s dítětem, kteréžto zrostlo a bydlilo na poušti, a byl z něho střelec.21Bydlil pak na poušti Fáran; i vzala mu matka jeho ženu z země Egyptské.22Stalo se pak toho času, že mluvil Abimelech a Fikol, kníže vojska jeho, k Abrahamovi těmito slovy: Bůh s tebou jest ve všech věcech, kteréž ty činíš.23Protož nyní, přisáhni mi teď skrze Boha: Toto ať se stane, jestliže mi sklamáš, neb synu mému, aneb vnuku mému; vedlé milosrdenství, kteréž jsem já učinil s tebou, i ty že učiníš se mnou a s zemí, v níž jsi byl pohostinu.24I řekl Abraham: A já přisáhnu.25(A přitom domlouval se Abraham na Abimelecha o studnici vody, kterouž mu mocí odjali služebníci Abimelechovi.26I řekl Abimelech: Nevím, kdo by učinil takovou věc; a aniž jsi ty mi oznámil, aniž jsem já také co slyšel, až dnes.)27Vzav tedy Abraham ovce i voly dal Abimelechovi; a vešli oba dva v smlouvu.28A postavil Abraham sedm jehnic stáda obzvlášť.29I řekl Abimelech Abrahamovi: K čemu jest těchto sedm jehnic, kteréž jsi postavil obzvlášť?30Odpověděl: Že sedm těch jehnic vezmeš z ruky mé, aby mi to bylo na svědectví, že jsem kopal studnici tuto.31Pročež nazváno jest to místo Bersabé, že tu oba dva přisáhli.32A tak učinili smlouvu v Bersabé. Vstav pak Abimelech a Fikol, kníže vojska jeho, navrátili se do země Filistinské.33I nasázel stromoví v Bersabé, a vzýval tam jméno Hospodina, Boha silného, věčného.34A bydlil Abraham v zemi Filistinské za mnoho dní.
PO NAROZENÍ SYNA A DĚDICE - — Syn pravý a nepravý - Zaslíbený syn se konečně narodí. Nepravý syn je z dědictví vyloučen.
1 Hospodin navštívil Sáru, jak řekl, a splnil jí, co slíbil.2 Sára otěhotněla a Abrahamovi, ačkoli byl stár, porodila syna v čase, který mu Bůh předpověděl.3 Abraham dal svému narozenému synu, kterého mu Sára porodila, jméno Izák.4 Když mu bylo osm dní, Abraham svého syna Izáka obřezal, jak mu Bůh přikázal.5 Abrahamovi bylo sto let, když se mu syn Izák narodil.6 Tu Sára řekla: „Bůh mi dopřál, že se mohu smát. Se mnou ať se směje každý, kdo o tom uslyší.“7 A dodala: „Kdo by byl Abrahamovi řekl, že Sára bude kojit syny? A přece jsem mu porodila syna, ačkoli je stár.“ 8 Dítě rostlo a bylo odstaveno. V den, kdy Izáka odstavili, vystrojil Abraham veliké hody.9 Sára však viděla, že syn, jehož Abrahamovi porodila Hagar egyptská, je poštívač.10 Řekla Abrahamovi: „Zapuď tu otrokyni i jejího syna! Přece nebude syn té otrokyně dědicem spolu s mým synem Izákem.“11 Ale Abraham se tím velmi trápil; vždyť šlo o jeho syna.12 Bůh však Abrahamovi řekl: „Netrap se pro chlapce a pro tu otrokyni; poslechni Sáru ve všem, co ti říká, neboť tvé potomstvo bude povoláno z Izáka.13 Učiním však národ i ze syna otrokyně, neboť také on je tvým potomkem.“ 14 Za časného jitra vzal Abraham chléb a měch vody a dal Hagaře. Vložil jí dítě na ramena a propustil ji. Šla a bloudila po Beeršebské stepi.15 Když voda v měchu došla, odložila dítě pod jedním křoviskem.16 Odešla a usedla opodál, co by lukem dostřelil, neboť si řekla: „Nemohu se dívat, jak dítě umírá.“ Usedla tam, zaúpěla a rozplakala se. 17 Bůh uslyšel hlas chlapce a Boží posel z nebe zavolal na Hagaru. Pravil jí: „Co je ti, Hagaro? Neboj se! Bůh slyšel hlas chlapce na tom místě, kde je.18 Vstaň, vezmi chlapce a pečuj o něj, já z něho učiním veliký národ.“19 Tu jí Bůh otevřel oči a ona spatřila studni s vodou. Šla, naplnila měch vodou a dala chlapci napít.20 A Bůh byl s chlapcem. Když vyrostl, usadil se ve stepi a stal se lučištníkem.21 Usadil se v Páranské stepi a jeho matka mu dala ženu z egyptské země.
— Smlouva s abímelekem - Pohanský král stojí o praotcovu přízeň. Abraham smlouvou zabezpečuje jižní hranici zaslíbené země.
22 V té době řekl abímelek a píkol, velitel jeho vojska, Abrahamovi: „Bůh je s tebou ve všem, co činíš.23 Proto mi na místě přísahej při Bohu, že neoklameš mne ani mého nástupce a následníka. Milosrdenství, jaké jsem já prokázal tobě, prokazuj i ty mně a zemi, v níž jsi pobýval jako host.“24 Abraham tedy řekl: „Jsem hotov přísahat.“25 Ale domlouval abímelekovi kvůli studni s vodou, kterou abímelekovi služebníci uchvátili.26 Abímelek na to odvětil: „Nevím, kdo to udělal. Tys mi to neoznámil a já jsem o tom dodnes neslyšel.“27 I vzal Abraham brav a skot a dal abímelekovi. Pak spolu uzavřeli smlouvu.28 Sedm ovcí ze stáda postavil Abraham zvlášť.29 Tu se abímelek Abrahama otázal: „Co s těmi sedmi ovcemi, které jsi postavil zvlášť?“30 A on řekl: „Sedm ovcí si ode mne vezmi na svědectví, že jsem tuto studni vykopal já.“31 Proto se to místo nazývá Beer-šeba (to je Studně přísahy), že tam oba přísahali.32 Po uzavření smlouvy v Beer-šebě se abímelek a píkol, velitel jeho vojska, hned navrátili do pelištejské země.33 A Abraham zasadil v Beer-šebě tamaryšek a vzýval tam jméno Hospodina, Boha věčného.34 Abraham pobyl v pelištejské zemi jako host mnoho dní.
1Hospodin navštívil Sáru, jak řekl, a Hospodin pro Sáru udělal, co slíbil.2Sára i přes Abrahamovo stáří počala a v době, kterou mu Bůh předpověděl, porodila syna.3Abraham dal svému synovi narozenému ze Sáry jméno Izák, Smíšek.4Když bylo Izákovi osm dní, Abraham svého syna obřezal, jak mu Bůh přikázal.5Když se mu narodil syn Izák, bylo Abrahamovi sto let.6Sára řekla: „Bůh mi daroval smích! Všichni, kdo o tom uslyší, se budou smát se mnou.“7Řekla také: „Kdo by byl Abrahamovi řekl, že Sára bude kojit děti? Ale porodila jsem mu syna – i přes jeho stáří!“8Když dítě povyrostlo, přestalo se kojit. V den, kdy se Izák přestal kojit, vystrojil Abraham velikou hostinu.9Sára pak viděla, že syn, kterého Abrahamovi porodila Egypťanka Hagar, je posměvač.10Řekla tedy Abrahamovi: „Vyžeň tu děvečku i jejího syna. Syn té děvečky přece nebude dědit spolu s mým synem, s Izákem!“11Abrahama ta slova velmi trápila. Šlo přece o jeho syna.12Bůh ale Abrahamovi řekl: „Netrap se kvůli chlapci ani kvůli své děvečce. Poslechni Sáru ve všem, co ti řekla, protože tvé símě bude povoláno v Izákovi.13I ze syna děvečky však učiním národ, neboť je tvým potomkem.“14Abraham vstal časně ráno, vzal chléb a měch s vodou, naložil to Hagar na záda a poslal ji i s dítětem pryč. Odešla tedy a bloudila Beeršebskou pouští.15Když jí voda v měchu došla, složila dítě pod jedním keřem16a šla si sednout naproti, co by lukem dostřelil, neboť si řekla: „Nemohu se dívat, jak dítě umírá.“ Usedla naproti a dala se do pláče.17Bůh uslyšel chlapcův hlas a Boží anděl zavolal na Hagar z nebe: „Co je ti, Hagar? Neboj se, neboť Bůh uslyšel chlapcův hlas tam, kde je.18Vstaň, vezmi chlapce a postarej se o něj, protože z něj učiním veliký národ.“19Tehdy jí Bůh otevřel oči a uviděla pramen vody. Šla tedy, naplnila měch vodou a dala chlapci napít.20Bůh pak byl s chlapcem a ten rostl. Bydlel na poušti a stal se z něj velký lučištník.21Bydlel v Paranské poušti a jeho matka mu vybrala ženu z Egypta.
Studna přísahy
22Někdy v té době Abimelech s velitelem svého vojska Píkolem řekl Abrahamovi: „Bůh je s tebou ve všem, co děláš.23Proto mi teď při Bohu odpřisáhni, že neoklameš mne ani mého nástupce a potomka a že se ke mně a k zemi, v níž jsi pobýval, budeš chovat tak přátelsky, jako jsem se zachoval já k tobě.“24Abraham řekl: „To odpřisáhnu.“25Abraham si tehdy Abimelechovi stěžoval kvůli studni s vodou, kterou mu Abimelechovi služebníci násilím vzali.26Abimelech však řekl: „Nevím, kdo by udělal něco takového. Sám jsi mi to neřekl a já jsem o tom až do dneška neslyšel.“27Abraham pak vzal ovce a voly, dal je Abimelechovi a vstoupili spolu do smlouvy.28Když Abraham postavil sedm jehňat ze stáda zvlášť,29zeptal se ho Abimelech: „Co znamená těch sedm jehňat, která jsi postavil zvlášť?“30„Těch sedm jehňat ode mě dostaneš na svědectví, že jsem tu studnu vykopal já,“ odpověděl mu Abraham.31(A tak to místo dostalo jméno Beer-šeba, Studna přísahy, neboť si tam oba přísahali.)32Poté, co vstoupili v Beer-šebě do smlouvy, Abimelech vstal a vrátil se s velitelem svého vojska Píkolem do filištínské země.33Abraham zasadil v Beer-šebě tamaryšek a vzýval tam jméno Hospodina, Věčného Boha.34Abraham potom ještě dlouho bydlel ve filištínské zemi.

Die Vertreibung Hagars und Ismaels
9Eines Tages beobachtete Sara, wie der Sohn, den die Ägypterin Hagar Abraham geboren hatte, spielte und lachte.10Da sagte sie zu Abraham: Vertreibe diese Magd und ihren Sohn! Denn der Sohn dieser Magd soll nicht zusammen mit meinem Sohn Isaak Erbe sein. (Ga 4,30)11Die Sache war sehr böse in Abrahams Augen, denn es ging um seinen Sohn.12Gott sprach aber zu Abraham: Die Sache wegen des Knaben und wegen deiner Magd sei nicht böse in deinen Augen. Hör auf alles, was dir Sara sagt! Denn nach Isaak sollen deine Nachkommen benannt werden.13Aber auch den Sohn der Magd will ich zu einem großen Volk machen, weil auch er dein Nachkomme ist.14Früh am Morgen stand Abraham auf, nahm Brot und einen Schlauch mit Wasser und gab es Hagar, legte es ihr auf die Schulter, übergab ihr das Kind und entließ sie. Sie zog fort und irrte in der Wüste von Beerscheba umher. (Gn 22,3)15Als das Wasser im Schlauch zu Ende war, warf sie das Kind unter einen Strauch,16ging weg und setzte sich in der Nähe hin, etwa einen Bogenschuss weit entfernt; denn sie sagte: Ich kann nicht mit ansehen, wie das Kind stirbt. Sie saß in der Nähe und erhob ihre Stimme und weinte.17Gott hörte den Knaben schreien; da rief der Engel Gottes vom Himmel her Hagar zu und sprach: Was hast du, Hagar? Fürchte dich nicht, denn Gott hat die Stimme des Knaben gehört, dort, wo er liegt. Abrahams Vertrag mit Abimelech
22Um jene Zeit sagten Abimelech und sein Feldherr Pichol zu Abraham: Gott ist mit dir bei allem, was du unternimmst.23Aber nun schwör mir hier bei Gott, dass du weder mich noch meinen Thronerben noch meine Kinder und Enkel hintergehen wirst. Das gleiche Wohlwollen, das ich dir erwiesen habe, sollst du mir erweisen und dem Land, in dem du dich als Fremder aufhältst.24Da sagte Abraham: Ich werde es schwören.25Abraham stellte aber Abimelech zur Rede wegen des Brunnens, den ihm Abimelechs Knechte mit Gewalt weggenommen hatten. (Gn 26,20)26Abimelech antwortete: Ich weiß nicht, wer das getan hat. Du hast es mir nicht gemeldet und ich habe auch erst heute davon gehört.27Da nahm Abraham Schafe und Rinder und gab sie Abimelech; so schlossen beide einen Bund.28Abraham stellte aber sieben Lämmer der Herde beiseite.29Da fragte ihn Abimelech: Was sollen die sieben Lämmer da, die du beiseitegestellt hast?30Die sieben Lämmer, sagte er, sollst du von mir annehmen als Beweis dafür, dass ich diesen Brunnen gegraben habe.31Darum gab er dem Ort den Namen Beerscheba - Siebenbrunn oder Schwurbrunn -; denn dort leisteten beide einen Schwur.[2] (Gn 26,33)32Sie schlossen also zu Beerscheba einen Bund. God Protects Hagar and Ishmael
8And the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.9But Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, laughing.[2] (Gn 16,1; Gn 16,15; Ga 4,29)10So she said to Abraham, “Cast out this slave woman with her son, for the son of this slave woman shall not be heir with my son Isaac.” (Ga 4,30)11And the thing was very displeasing to Abraham on account of his son.12But God said to Abraham, “Be not displeased because of the boy and because of your slave woman. Whatever Sarah says to you, do as she tells you, for through Isaac shall your offspring be named. A Treaty with Abimelech
22At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army said to Abraham, “God is with you in all that you do. (Gn 20,2; Gn 26,1; Gn 26,26; Gn 26,28)23Now therefore swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me or with my descendants or with my posterity, but as I have dealt kindly with you, so you will deal with me and with the land where you have sojourned.” (Gn 20,14)24And Abraham said, “I will swear.”25When Abraham reproved Abimelech about a well of water that Abimelech’s servants had seized, (Gn 26,15; Gn 26,18; Gn 26,20)26Abimelech said, “I do not know who has done this thing; you did not tell me, and I have not heard of it until today.”27So Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech, and the two men made a covenant. (Gn 26,31)28Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock apart.29And Abimelech said to Abraham, “What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs that you have set apart?”30He said, “These seven ewe lambs you will take from my hand, that this[3] may be a witness for me that I dug this well.”31Therefore that place was called Beersheba,[4] because there both of them swore an oath. Then Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army rose up and returned to the land of the Philistines.33Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba and called there on the name of the Lord, the Everlasting God. And she sat over against him , and lift up her voice, and wept.17And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is .18Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.19And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.20And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.21And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.22And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:23Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son' son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.24And Abraham said, I will swear.25And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech' servants had violently taken away.26And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing: neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it , but to day.27And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.28And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.29And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?30And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.31Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they sware both of them.32Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.33And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.34And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines'land many days.
