1Opět bylo dvanáctého léta, dvanáctého měsíce, prvního dne téhož měsíce, že se stalo slovo Hospodinovo ke mně, řkoucí:2Synu člověčí, vydej se v naříkání nad Faraonem králem Egyptským, a rci jemu: Lvu mladému mezi národy podoben jsi, a jsi jako velryb v moři, když procházeje se v potocích svých, kalíš vodu nohama svýma, a kormoutíš potoky její.3Takto praví Panovník Hospodin: Rozestruť na tě síť svou skrze shromáždění národů mnohých, kteříž tě vytáhnou nevodem mým.4I nechám tě na zemi, povrhu tě na svrchku pole, a učiním, že na tobě přebývati bude všelijaké ptactvo nebeské, a nasytím tebou živočichy vší země.5A rozmeci maso tvé po horách, a naplním údolí vysokostí tvou.6A napojím zemi, v níž ploveš, krví tvou až do hor, tak že i potokové naplněni budou tebou.7V tom, když tě zhasím, zakryji nebesa, a zasmušilé učiním hvězdy jejich; slunce mrákotou zastru, a měsíc nebude svítiti světlem svým.8Všecka světla jasná na nebesích zasmušilá učiním příčinou tvou, a uvedu tmu na zemi tvou, praví Panovník Hospodin.9Nadto zkormoutím srdce národů mnohých, když způsobím, aby došla pověst o potření tvém mezi národy, do zemí, jichž jsi neznal.10Učiním, pravím, že trnouti budou nad tebou národové mnozí, a králové jejich hroziti se příčinou tvou velice, když šermovati budu mečem svým před tváří jejich. Budou se zajisté lekati každé chvilky, každý sám za sebe v den pádu tvého.11Nebo takto praví Panovník Hospodin: Meč krále Babylonského přijde na tě.12Meči udatných porazím množství tvé, nejukrutnějších ze všech národů; tiť zkazí pýchu Egypta, a zahlazeno bude všecko množství jeho.13Zahladím i všecka hovada jeho, kteráž jsou při vodách mnohých, tak že jich nezakalí noha člověčí více, aniž jich kaliti budou kopyta hovad.14Tuť učiním, že se usadí vody jejich, a potokové jejich že jako olej půjdou, praví Panovník Hospodin,15Když obrátím zemi Egyptskou v poušť přehroznou, v zemi prázdnou toho, což prvé v ní bylo, a když zbiji v ní všecky obyvatele. I zvědí, že já jsem Hospodin.16Toť jest naříkání, jímž naříkati budou. Tak dcery národů naříkati budou, tak nad Egyptem i nade vším jeho množstvím naříkati budou, dí Panovník Hospodin.17Potom bylo dvanáctého léta, patnáctého dne téhož měsíce, že se stalo slovo Hospodinovo ke mně, řkoucí:18Synu člověčí, naříkej nad množstvím Egypta, a snes jej i dcery národů těch slavných do zpodních míst země k těm, kteříž sstupují do jámy.19A rci: Nad kohož bys utěšenější byl? Sstupiž a lež s neobřezanci.20Mezi zbitými mečem padnou, meči vydán jest, vlectež jej i všecko množství jeho.21Budouť k němu mluviti hrdiny s jeho pomocníky z prostřed hrobu, kdež neobřezanci mečem zbití sstoupivše, leží.22Tam jest Assur i všecka zběř jeho, jehož hrobové jsou vůkol tohoto. Všickni ti byvše zbiti, padli od meče.23Jehož hrobové jsou po stranách jámy, aby byla zběř jeho vůkol hrobu tohoto. I ti s neobřezanci lehnou a s těmi, kteříž sstupují do jámy.30Tam knížata půlnoční strany všickni napořád, i všickni Sidonští, kteříž sstoupí k zbitým, s strachem svým, za svou moc stydíce se, a ležeti budou ti neobřezanci s zbitými mečem, a ponesou potupu svou s těmi, kteříž sstupují do jámy.31Ty uhlédaje Farao, potěší se nade vším množstvím svým, Farao i všecko vojsko jeho, zbiti jsouce mečem, dí Panovník Hospodin.32Nebo pustím strach svůj v zemi živých, a položen bude mezi neobřezanci s zbitými mečem Farao i všecko množství jeho, praví Panovník Hospodin.
— Nářek nad faraónem - Třebaže se farao ve své moci podobá lvu či draku, je jeho pád neodvratný a zpustošen bude i celý Egypt.
1 Dvanáctého roku ve dvanáctém měsíci, prvního dne toho měsíce, stalo se ke mně slovo Hospodinovo:2 „Lidský synu, začni žalozpěv nad faraónem, králem egyptským. Zapěj o něm: K mladému lvu mezi pronárody jsi byl přirovnán, byl jsi jako drak v mořích, prodíral ses svými proudy, nohama jsi kalil vodu a čeřil její proudy.“ 3 Toto praví Panovník Hospodin: „Rozestřu na tebe svou síť společenstvím četných národů a vytáhnou tě mým nevodem. 4 Vyvrhnu tě na zem, pohodím tě na povrch pole, usadím na tobě kdejaké nebeské ptactvo, nasytím tebou zvěř celé země. 5 Rozházím tvé tělo po horách, hromadami tvého masa naplním údolí. 6 Proudem tvé krve napojím zemi až k horám, řečiště se naplní krví z tebe. 7 Až budeš zhasínat, zakryji nebesa, zatemním jejich hvězdy, slunce zakryji oblakem a měsíc nevydá světlo. 8 Zatemním nad tebou na nebi všechna jasná světla, na tvou zemi sešlu tmu, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina. 9 Srdce četných národů naplním hořem, až uvedu tvou zkázu ve známost mezi pronárody, v zemích, které neznáš.10 Úděsem nad tebou naplním četné národy, jejich králové strnou nad tebou hrůzou, až proti nim zamávám svým mečem, všichni se budou neustále třást o svůj život v den tvého pádu.“ 11 Toto praví Panovník Hospodin: „Dolehne na tebe meč babylónského krále; 12 meči bohatýrů srazím tvůj hlučící dav, meči všech krutých pronárodů. Ti svrhnou v záhubu pýchu Egypta; vyhlazen bude všechen jeho hlučící dav. 13 Vyhubím všechna jeho zvířata u hojných vod, nezkalí je už lidská noha, nezkalí je ani kopyta zvířat. 14 Tehdy čirými učiním jejich vody a jejich proudy potečou jako olej, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina. 15 Egyptskou zemi učiním zpustošeným krajem, zpustošena bude země se vším, co je na ní, až v ní pobiji všechny obyvatele. I poznají, že já jsem Hospodin.“ 16 „To je žalozpěv a jako žalozpěv se bude zpívat, jako žalozpěv jej budou zpívat dcery pronárodů, žalozpěv nad Egyptem a vším jeho hlučícím davem, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina.“

17 Dvanáctého roku, patnáctého dne téhož měsíce, stalo se ke mně slovo Hospodinovo:18 „Lidský synu, běduj nad hlučícím davem Egypta, sraz jej dolů, jej i dcery pronárodů i jejich vznešené do nejhlubších útrob země s těmi, kdo sestupují do jámy. 19 Jsi snad milejší než kdokoli jiný? Sestup, budeš uložen k neobřezancům. 20 Padnou mezi skolené mečem; meč je už předán. Odtáhněte jej i všechen jeho hlučící dav.21 Zprostředka podsvětí nejsilnější bohatýři budou mluvit k němu a jeho pomahačům: ‚Sestoupili, ulehli neobřezanci skolení mečem.‘ 22 Tam je Asýrie a celé její shromáždění; kolem krále jsou hroby všech skolených, padlých mečem.23 Vykázali jí hroby v nejhlubší jámě; kolem jejího hrobu je i její shromáždění, všichni skolení, padlí mečem, ti, kteří šířili děs v zemi živých. 24 Tam je Élam, kolem jeho hrobu všechen jeho hlučící dav, všichni skolení, padlí mečem, neobřezanci, kteří sestoupili do nejhlubších útrob země; šířili svůj děs v zemi živých, nesou hanbu s těmi, kdo sestupují do jámy.25 Dali mu lože mezi skolenými, se vším jeho hlučícím davem. Pro děs, který šel z jejich bohatýrské síly, jsou zahanbeni; ulehli, neobřezanci, ke skoleným mečem a nesou hanbu s těmi, kdo sestupují do jámy. 31 Farao je spatří a potěší se vším tím hlučícím davem. Jsou skoleni mečem, farao i celé jeho vojsko, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina;32 šířil jsem jím svůj děs v zemi živých. Uložen je farao i všechen jeho hlučící dav mezi neobřezance ke skoleným mečem, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina.“

Brouzdáš se svými řekami, nohama plácáš do vody a čeříš bahno v potocích.[2]3Tak praví Panovník Hospodin: Roztáhnu na tebe svoji síť a sejdou se mnohé národy, aby tě mou sítí vytáhly.4Pohodím tě pak na souši a budeš ležet jen tak na zemi. Přivedu na tebe veškeré ptáky a všechnu zvěř tebou nasytím.5Rozházím tvé maso po kopcích a tvou zdechlinou zaplním údolí.6Napojím zemi tvojí kaluží, tvá krev dosáhne až k pohořím, budou tě plné všechny rokliny!7Až zdechneš, nebe zakryji a hvězdy na něm zatemním; slunce ukryji za mraky a měsíc nevydá svůj svit.8Všechna světla, jež září na nebi, kvůli tobě zatemním a tvoji zem ponořím do tmy, praví Panovník Hospodin.9Mnohé národy znepokojím v srdci, až tvé kusy roznesu mezi pohany, do zemí, o nichž netušíš.10Mnohé národy tebou vyděsím; jejich králům vstanou hrůzou vlasy, až jim zamávám mečem před tváří. Strachy o život se bude třást bez ustání jeden každý z nich v den tvé záhuby.11Tak totiž praví Panovník Hospodin: Meč babylonského krále se chystá na tebe!12Nechám tu tvoji hordu padnout mečem hrdinů – nejukrutnějších ze všech pohanů, kteří rozdrtí pýchu Egypta a celá jeho horda bude zničena.13Vyhubím i všechen jeho dobytek na březích velkých řek. Už je nerozčeří noha člověka, nezkalí je ani zvířecí kopyta.14Tehdy ty jejich vody ustálím a nechám je plynout podobné oleji, praví Panovník Hospodin.15Až Egypt zcela zpustoším a zbavím tu zemi všeho v ní, až pobiji všechny, kdo v ní bydleli, tehdy poznají, že já jsem Hospodin.16Toto je žalozpěv určený k truchlení. Ať jej zpívají dcery národů! Ať jej zpívají nad Egyptem a všemi jeho hordami, praví Panovník Hospodin.“
Farao v podsvětí
17Patnáctého dne téhož měsíce dvanáctého roku[3] jsem dostal slovo Hospodinovo:18„Synu člověčí, truchli spolu s dcerami vznešených národů nad egyptskými hordami. Pošli je do podsvětí k těm, kdo klesli do jámy:19‚Jsi snad lepší než ostatní? Dolů! K neobřezaným ulehni!‘20Padnou uprostřed mečem pobitých. Meč je tasen; Egypt už odvádějí i se všemi jeho hordami.21Mocní hrdinové o něm a jeho spojencích promluví zprostřed záhrobí: ‚Už jsou dole! Ulehli k neobřezancům pobitým mečem!‘22Bude tam Asýrie a celá její armáda – jejich hroby všude dokola! Ti všichni padli a mečem pobiti23pohřbeni byli do jámy nejhlubší. Kolem jejího hrobu všude dokola leží její armáda. Ti, kdo šířili hrůzu v zemi živých, padli, mečem pobiti.24Bude tam Elam a celá jeho horda – kolem jeho hrobu všude dokola! Ti všichni padli a mečem pobiti sestoupili neobřezaní do podsvětí. Ti, kdo šířili hrůzu v zemi živých, teď snášejí hanbu s těmi, kdo klesli do jámy.25Ustlali mu lůžko mezi padlými – celá jeho horda má hroby všude dokola! Všichni ti neobřezanci byli mečem pobiti, protože šířili hrůzu v zemi živých, a tak teď snášejí hanbu s těmi, kdo klesli do jámy. Jsou uloženi mezi padlými.26Bude tam i Mešek, Tubal a celá jeho horda – jejich hroby všude dokola! Všichni ti neobřezanci byli mečem pobiti, protože šířili hrůzu v zemi živých.27Neleží ale mezi dávnými[4] hrdiny, kteří sestoupili do podsvětí ve válečné zbroji, s hlavou položenou na meči a se štítem,[5] jenž přikrýval jejich kosti tenkrát, když se země živých děsila před těmi hrdiny.28Ty však budeš ležet zmrzačen mezi neobřezanci pobitými mečem.29Bude tam i Edom se svými králi a knížaty. I přes svou udatnost byli uloženi k mečem pobitým. I oni leží s neobřezanci, s těmi, kdo klesli do jámy.30Budou tam všichni severní vladaři spolu se všemi Sidonci. Přes hrůzu, již budili svou udatností, sestoupili i oni s hanbou k pobitým. Teď leží neobřezaní mezi mečem padlými a snášejí hanbu s těmi, kdo klesli do jámy.31Až je farao s celým svým vojskem uvidí, dojde útěchy nad všemi svými hordami pobitými mečem, praví Panovník Hospodin.32Pustím totiž svou hrůzu do země živých a farao se všemi svými hordami bude položen mezi neobřezance padlé mečem, praví Panovník Hospodin.“

1Es geschah im zwölften Jahr, im zwölften Monat, am ersten Tag des Monats, da erging das Wort des HERRN an mich:2Menschensohn, stimm eine Totenklage an über den Pharao, den König von Ägypten, und sag zu ihm:
Einem Löwen unter den Nationen bist du gleich gewesen.
Du jedoch warst wie das Ungeheuer in den Meeren,
hast deine Flüsse aufgepeitscht, / die Wasser mit deinen Füßen verschmutzt / und ihre Fluten aufgewühlt. (Jb 40,25; Ez 19,14; Ez 29,2; Ez 31,2)3So spricht GOTT, der Herr: / Ich spanne aus über dich mein Netz
durch ein Heer von vielen Völkern, / die ziehen dich herauf in meinem Schleppnetz. (Ez 12,13; Ez 31,12)4Dann werfe ich dich aufs Land, / schleudere dich aufs freie Feld.

Sie alle sind die gewalttätigsten unter den Völkern. / Sie verwüsten den Stolz von Ägypten, all seine Pracht wird zerstört.13All sein Vieh lasse ich verschwinden / aus den großen Gewässern.
Keines Menschen Fuß wird sie mehr trüben / noch werden die Hufe der Tiere sie trüben.14Dann mache ich ihre Gewässer klar / und ihre Ströme lasse ich dahingleiten wie Öl - / Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn.15Wenn ich das Land Ägypten zum Ödland mache / und wenn das Land, seiner Fülle beraubt, verödet ist,
wenn ich alle seine Bewohner darin erschlage,
dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.16Eine Totenklage ist dies, die Totenklage, sie soll man anstimmen; die Töchter der Nationen sollen die Totenklage anstimmen. (Iz 14,9; Ez 31,14)19Wen hast du an Schönheit übertroffen? / Steige hinab und lieg bei den unbeschnittenen Männern!20Mitten unter jene, die das Schwert erschlug, / werden sie fallen.
Dem Schwert wurde es übergeben. / Rafft es weg mit all seiner Pracht!21Dann sagen die mächtigen Helden mitten aus der Unterwelt / über ihn samt seinen Helfern:
Sie sind hinabgestiegen, liegen da, / die Unbeschnittenen, die vom Schwert Erschlagenen. (Gn 6,4; Ez 39,18)22Dort ist Assur und sein ganzes Heer, / rings um ihn sind ihre Gräber.

1In the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me: (Ez 20,1)2“Son of man, raise a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him: “You consider yourself a lion of the nations, but you are like a dragon in the seas; you burst forth in your rivers, trouble the waters with your feet, and foul their rivers.
