1Toto pak jest požehnání, kterýmž požehnal Mojžíš, muž Boží, synů Izraelských před svou smrtí,2A řekl: Hospodin z Sinai přišel, a vzešel jim z Seir, zastkvěl se s hory Fáran, a přišel s desíti tisíci svatých, z jehožto pravice oheň zákona svítil jim.3Jak velice miluješ lidi! Všickni svatí jeho jsou v ruce tvé, oni také přivinuli se k nohám tvým, vezmouť prospěch z výmluvností tvých.4Zákon vydal nám Mojžíš, dědičný shromáždění Jákobovu,5(Nebo byl v Izraeli jako král), když přední z lidu shromáždili se, i všecka pokolení Izraelská.6Buď živ Ruben a neumírej, a muži jeho ať jsou bez počtu.7Tolikéž požehnal i Judovi a řekl: Vyslyš, Hospodine, hlas Judův, a k lidu svému jej sprovozuj; ruce jeho budou bojovati za něj, a ty jemu spomáhati budeš proti nepřátelům jeho.8O Léví také řekl: Thumim tvé a urim tvé bylo, Pane, při muži svatém tvém, kteréhož jsi zkusil v pokušení, a kterýž podlé tebe měl nesnáz při vodách Meribah,9Kterýž řekl otci svému a matce své: Neohlédám se na vás; a bratří svých neznal, a o synech svých nevěděl; nebo ostříhají výmluvností tvých, a smlouvu tvou zachovávají.10Vyučovati budou soudům tvým Jákoba, a zákonu tvému Izraele, a klásti budou kadidlo před tváří tvou, a obět zápalnou na oltáři tvém.11Požehnejž, Hospodine, rytěřování jeho, a v práci rukou jeho zalib se tobě. Zlomuj ledví nepřátel jeho a těch, kteříž ho nenávidí, aby nepovstali.12A o Beniaminovi řekl: Milý jest Hospodinu, bezpečně s ním bydliti bude; ochraňovati jej bude každého dne, a mezi rameny jeho přebývati.13O Jozefovi pak řekl: Požehnaná země jeho od Hospodina pro nejlepší věci nebeské, pro rosu a vrchoviště zespod se prýštící,14A pro nejlepší úrody sluncem vyzralé, a pro nejlepší věci časem měsíců došlé,15I pro rozkoše hor nejstarších, a pro rozkoše pahrbků věčných,16Pro nejlepší věci země i plnost její, vyplývající z milosti ve kři přebývajícího. Přijdiž to požehnání na hlavu Jozefovu, a na vrch hlavy odděleného z jiných bratří jeho.17Prvorozeného, vola toho krása veliká bude, a rohové jednorožce rohové jeho, jimiž on trkati bude národy napořád až do končin země. A toť jsou mnozí tisícové Efraimovi a tisícové Manassesovi.18O Zabulonovi také řekl: Vesel se Zabulon u vycházení svém, a Izachar v staních svých.19Lidi na horu Boží svolají, a budou obětovati oběti spravedlnosti; nebo hojnost mořskou ssáti budou, a skryté poklady v písku.20Gádovi pak řekl: Požehnaný, kterýž rozšiřuje Gáda. Onť jakožto lev bydliti bude, a uchvátí rameno i s hlavou.21Kterýž opatřil ho prvotinami; nebo tam podílem skrze vydavatele zákona ubezpečen jest. Protož pobéřeť se s knížaty lidu, a spravedlnost Hospodinovu i soudy jeho s Izraelem vykonávati bude.22O Danovi pak řekl: Dan jako lvíče lvové vyskakovati bude z Bázan.23A Neftalímovi řekl: Ó Neftalíme, sytý přízní Páně, plný požehnání Hospodinova, západní a polední stranu přijmi za dědictví.24O Asserovi také řekl: Asser požehnaný nad jiné syny, budeť milý bratřím svým, omočí v oleji nohu svou.25Železo a měď pod šlepějemi tvými; pokudž trvati budou dnové tvoji, slovoutný budeš.26Neníť žádného, jako Bůh silný, ó Izraeli, kterýž se vznáší na nebesích ku pomoci tobě, a u velebnosti své na oblacích nejvyšších.27Ochrana tvá buď Bůh věčný, a zespod ramena věčnosti, kterýž vyžene nepřátely před tebou, aneb řekne: Vyhlaď je,28Aby sám bezpečně bydlil Izrael, rodina Jákobova, a to v zemi obilím a vínem oplývající, jehož nebesa také i rosu vydávati budou.29Blahoslavený jsi, Izraeli. Kdo jest podobný tobě, lide vysvobozený skrze Hospodina, jenž jest pavéza spomožení tvého a meč důstojnosti tvé? Tvoji zajisté nepřátelé poníženi budou, ale ty po všech vyvýšenostech jejich šlapati budeš.
— Mojžíšovo požehnání - Mojžíš dává požehnání jednotlivým kmenům izraelské pospolitosti.
1 Toto je požehnání, kterým Mojžíš, muž Boží, žehnal před svou smrtí syny Izraele.2 Pravil: „Hospodin přišel ze Sínaje, jako slunce jim vzešel ze Seíru, zaskvěl se z hory Páranu, přišel s desetitisíci svatými, po jeho pravici jim z ohně vzešel Zákon.“ 3 Ano, lidská pokolení jsou mu milá. Všichni jeho svatí jsou v tvé ruce, přivinuli se k tvým nohám, budou se učit z tvých řečí. 4 Zákonu, který nám přikázal Mojžíš jako odkaz Jákobovu shromáždění. 5 Tehdy se Hospodin stal králem v Ješurúnovi, když se shromažďovali představitelé lidu spolu s izraelskými kmeny. 6 „Živ buď, Rúbene, neumírej, i když je tvých mužů nepatrný počet“ 7 A toto je pro Judu. Pravil: „Slyš, Hospodine, hlas Judův, přiveď ho k jeho lidu. Vlastníma rukama vede svou při. Buď mu pomocí proti jeho protivníkům.“ 8 O Lévim pravil: „Tvé tumím a urím, Hospodine, patří muži tobě zbožně oddanému. Vyzkoušel jsi ho při pokušení v Masse, měl jsi s ním svár při Vodách sváru u Meriby. 9 Řekl o svém otci a o své matce: ‚Nehledím na ně;‘ na své bratry se neohlíží, své syny nezná. Oni dbali na tvou řeč, zachovávali tvou smlouvu. 10 Budou vyučovat tvým právům Jákoba a tvému zákonu Izraele, budou klást před tebe kadidlo a na tvůj oltář celopaly. 11 Žehnej, Hospodine, jeho zdatnosti a měj zalíbení v díle jeho rukou. Zdeptej bedra těch, kdo povstávají proti němu, aby už nepovstali, kdo ho nenávidí!“ 12 O Benjamínovi pravil: „Hospodinův miláček to je. Ať u něho přebývá v bezpečí. On ho bude chránit po celý čas, vždyť přebývá mezi jeho úbočími.“ 13 O Josefovi pravil: „Požehnána buď od Hospodina jeho země výtečnou rosou nebes i propastnou tůní, jež odpočívá dole, 14 výtečnými úrodami vyzrálými sluncem, vším výtečným, co přináší měsíc, 15 nejlepšími plody pravěkých hor, výtečnostmi pahorků dávnověkých, 16 výtečnostmi země a všeho, co je na ní, a zalíbením toho, jenž přebývá v keři. To nechť přijde na hlavu Josefovu, na temeno zasvěcence mezi bratry. 17 Je plný důstojnosti jako prvorozený býk, jeho rohy jsou rohy jednorožců; nabere na ně lidská pokolení i s dálavami země. Takové ať jsou desetitisíce Efrajimovy, takové ať jsou tisíce Manasesovy.“ 18 O Zabulónovi pravil: „Raduj se, Zabulóne, při svém vycházení, i ty, Isachare, ve svých stanech. 19 Svolají na horu lidská pokolení a budou tam obětovat oběti spravedlnosti. Budou sát hojnost z moří, poklady ukryté v písku.“ 20 O Gádovi pravil: „Požehnán buď ten, jenž Gádovi rozšiřuje prostor. Uložil se jako lvice, rozsápe paži i lebku. 21 Vyhlédl si prvotinu tam, kde je uschován velitelský podíl. Přišel s představiteli lidu, vykonal Hospodinovu spravedlnost a jeho práva vůči Izraeli.“ 22 O Danovi pravil: „Dan je lví mládě, vyskočí z Bášanu.“ 23 O Neftalím pravil: „Neftalí je nasycen přízní, je plný Hospodinova požehnání, ovládne moře i jih.“ 24 O Ašerovi pravil: „Nad ostatní syny požehnán buď Ašer, buď oblíben u svých bratří, v oleji ať smáčí svou nohu. 25 Tvé závory ať jsou z železa a bronzu, tvá síla ať provází všechny tvé dny.“ 26 „Nikdo není jako Bůh, Ješurúne; na pomoc ti jede po nebesích, na oblacích ve své velebnosti. 27 Domov je v odvěkém Bohu, na jeho věčných pažích. Zahnal před tebou nepřítele a řekl: ‚Vyhlaď ho!‘ 28 Izrael přebývá bezpečně – jedinečný je Jákobův Pramen – v zemi obilí a moštu; též jeho nebesa kanou rosou. 29 Blaze tobě, Izraeli! Kdo je ti roven, lide vysvobozený Hospodinem? On je štítem tvé pomoci a mečem tvé velebnosti. Před tebou selže síla tvých nepřátel, pošlapeš jejich posvátná návrší!“
1Toto je požehnání, které Boží muž Mojžíš před svou smrtí udělil synům Izraele.2Řekl: „Hospodin přišel ze Sinaje, ze Seíru, jako když slunce vychází, tak jim z pohoří Paran zazářil. S nesčíslnými tisíci kráčel od Kádeše, oheň Zákona vzešel z jeho pravice.3Ó, jak miluješ lidi! Všechny své svaté v ruce máš. Oni se k tvým nohám přivinuli, aby přijímali slova tvá –4Zákon, jenž Mojžíš vydal nám, dědictví shromáždění Jákobova.5Ješurunovi[1] stal se králem, vůdcové lidu když sešli se společně s kmeny Izraele.6Ruben ať žije, ať nikdy nevymře, ač jeho mužů jen hrstka je!“7O Judovi řekl: „Vyslýchej, Hospodine, hlas Judův, k jeho lidu jej zpět přiváděj. Když bojuje svou vlastní rukou, proti nepřátelům mu pomáhej.“8O Levim řekl: „Kéž tvé urim a tumim,[2] Hospodine, připadne muži tobě věrnému! Zkusils jej onou zkouškou v Masse, přel ses s ním u vod sváru v Meribě.9O otci i matce řekl: ‚Nehledím na ně!‘ Na vlastní bratry nebral zřetel a ke svým dětem neznal se.[3] Ano, tvé slovo zachovali, tvou smlouvu budou střežit levité.10Jákoba budou tvým pravidlům učit a Zákonu tvému Izrael. Kadidlo před tebe budou klást, zápaly přinášet ti na oltář.11Požehnej, Hospodine, jeho síle, v díle jeho rukou zalíbení měj. Jeho protivníky udeř do slabin, aby jeho nepřátelé už nikdy nevstali!“12O Benjamínovi řekl: „Hospodinův miláček to je – kéž zůstává u něj v bezpečí! On jej ochraňuje každý den, vždyť odpočívá v jeho náručí.“13O Josefovi řekl: „Jeho zemi ať žehná Hospodin nejlepší rosou z nebe nahoře, prameny sahajícími dolů do hloubky,14nejlepšími dary slunce, nejlepší úrodou všech měsíců,15největší chloubou hor odvěkých, nejlepšími dary věčných pahorků,16nejlepším ze země a její plnosti! Přízeň Toho, jenž přebývá v keři,[4] na hlavě Josefově nechť spočine, na temeni vyvoleného z bratří!17Jak prvorozenému býku čest mu náleží, jeho rohy jsou rohy buvolí; národy ze všech zemských končin on těmi rohy porazí. Takové ať jsou desetitisíce Efraimovy, takové tisíce Manasesovy!“18O Zabulonovi řekl: „Raduj se, Zabulone, kdykoli vycházíš, a ty, Isachare, v stanech svých!19Na horu svolají různé národy, tam budou přinášet pravé oběti. Budou sytit z mořského bohatství, z pokladů v písku ukrytých.“20O Gádovi řekl: „Požehnán buď Ten, jenž Gáda rozšiřuje! Gád uložil se jako lvice, s ramenem i hlavu utrhne!21To nejlepší si nechal pro sebe, díl, jenž je velitelům vyhrazen. V čele lidu totiž směle šel a Hospodinovu spravedlnost prováděl, jeho rozhodnutí pro celý Izrael.“22O Danovi řekl: „Dan je mladý lev, z Bášanu vyskakuje!“23O Neftalímovi řekl: „Přízní jsi nasycen, Neftalíme, požehnání Hospodinova jsi pln, jezero i s jižní stranou opanuj!“24O Ašerovi řekl: „Nad jiné syny požehnán je Ašer, mezi bratry ať je oblíben, své nohy ať smáčí olejem!25Z železa a bronzu ať jsou tvé závory, po všechny své dny žij v bezpečí.26Nikdo není jako Bůh, Ješurune![5] Na pomoc tobě spěchá nebem, brázdí oblaka ve slávě své!27Odvěký Bůh je tvým útočištěm, věčné náručí tě podepře. Tvé nepřátele před tebou žene a říká: ‚Vyhlaď je!‘[6]28Izrael proto bydlí v bezpečí, Jákobův příbytek[7] nikdo neruší v zemi obilí a vína, kde z nebe padá rosa.29Jak jsi, Izraeli, blažený! Kdo je ti podobný, lide, jejž Hospodin zachránil! On je štítem tvé ochrany a mečem tvého vítězství. Ať se tví nepřátelé před tebou krčí a ty ať jim šlapeš po šíji!“

Segen über die Stämme
6Ruben soll leben, er sterbe nicht aus - / doch habe er wenig Männer. (Gn 49,3)7Und dies soll gelten für Juda: Und er sagte:
Höre, HERR, die Stimme Judas, / führ ihn heim zu seinem Volk. / Mit eigenen Händen kämpfe er dafür - / sei du ihm Hilfe gegen seine Feinde.8Und für Levi sagte er:
Deine Tummim und Urim gehören deinem treuen Gefolgsmann, / den du in Massa auf die Probe stelltest, / mit dem du strittest am Wasser von Meriba;[3] (Ex 17,1; Nu 20,2; 1S 14,37)9der von seinem Vater und seiner Mutter sagte: / Ich habe beide nie gesehen! / und der seine Brüder nicht erkannte / und von seinen Kindern nichts wissen wollte. / Denn die Leviten haben auf dein Wort geachtet - / nun wachen sie über deinen Bund. Lache, Sebulon, wenn du in See stichst, / und du, Issachar, in deinen Zelten!19Sie werden Völker zum Berge rufen, / dort werden sie gültige Opfer schlachten. / Denn sie nähren sich vom Überfluss der Meere, / von Schätzen, die im Sand verborgen sind.20Und für Gad sagte er:
Gepriesen sei der, der Gad Raum schafft. / Gad lauert wie ein Löwe, / Arm und Kopf reißt er ab.21Das erste Stück hat er sich ausgesucht, / denn dort ist der Anteil des verborgenen Anführers / und dort erschien jeder aus den Häuptern des Volkes. / Was recht ist vor dem HERRN, führte er aus, / dessen Rechtsentscheide gemeinsam mit Israel.22Und für Dan sagte er:

Naftali, gesättigt mit Gnade, / gefüllt mit dem Segen des HERRN - / See und Süden nimm in Besitz!24Und für Ascher sagte er:
Mehr als die anderen Söhne sei Ascher gesegnet, / bei seinen Brüdern sei er beliebt, / er bade seinen Fuß in Öl.25Deine Riegel seien von Eisen und Bronze. / Hab Stärke, solange du lebst!
Schluss
26Keiner ist wie der Gott Jeschuruns, / der in den Himmel steigt, um dir zu helfen, / auf die Wolken in seiner Hoheit.[4] (Ž 68,5)27Eine Wohnung ist der Gott der Urzeit, / von unten tragen sie die Arme des Ewigen. / Er trieb den Feind vor dir her, / er sagte: Vernichte! 1And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.2And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.3Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.4Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.5And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.6Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.7And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.8And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;9Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.10They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.11Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.12And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.13And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,14And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,15And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,16And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.17His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.18And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.19They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.20And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.21And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.22And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion' whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.23And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.24And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.25Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be .26There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.27The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them .28Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.29Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
