Assyrien wird gegen Ägypten und Äthiopien gewinnen
1Tartan, der General von der Armee von Assyrien, wurde von seinem Präsidenten Sargon losgeschickt, um einen Kampf gegen die Stadt Aschdod zu führen.2In der Zeit redete Gott mit Jesaja. Jesaja kam aus der Familie von Amoz. Gott sagte zu ihm: „Zieh mal deine Klamotten und deine Schuhe aus!“ Er machte das sofort und war ab dann total nackt.3Später sagte Gott dann durch ihn zu allen Leuten: „Seit drei Jahren läuft mein Prophet jetzt nackig und ohne Schuhe rum. Das hat er getan als ein Zeichen für das, was mit Ägypten und Äthiopien abgehen wird.4Der Präsident von Assyrien wird nämlich alle Ägypter und Äthiopier, egal welchen Alters, festnehmen und abführen lassen. Dabei werden sie nichts anhaben. Jeder wird ihren blanken Hintern sehen können, das wird megapeinlich für die Ägypter.5Die Leute werden voll Angst haben, und sie werden sich wegen Äthiopien echt schämen, obwohl sie sich so viel von denen erhofft hatten. Und auch für Ägypten, auf das sie früher voll stolz waren, wird man sich schämen.6Dann werden die Leute von Juda und die Philister sagen:,Auf die hatten wir mal gesetzt, das war also unsere Hoffnung …? Wenn wir Probleme hatten, sind wir immer zum Präsidenten von Assyrien gerannt! Wer wird uns jetzt noch helfen -können?‘“

1In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took it;2At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.3And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;4So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.5And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.6And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape?
