Senden öte mutluluk yok benim için.›› 3 Ülkedeki kutsallara gelince, Soyludur onlar, biricik zevkim onlardır. 4 Başka ilahların ardınca koşanların derdi artacak. Onların kan sunularını dökmeyeceğim, Adlarını ağzıma almayacağım. 5 Benim payıma, Benim kâseme düşen sensin, ya RAB; Yaşamım senin ellerinde. 6 Payıma ne güzel yerler düştü, Ne harika bir mirasım var! 7 Övgüler sunarım bana öğüt veren RAB'be, Geceleri bile vicdanım uyarır beni. 8 Gözümü RAB'den ayırmam, Sağımda durduğu için sarsılmam. 9 Bu nedenle içim sevinç dolu, yüreğim coşuyor, Bedenim güven içinde. 10 Çünkü sen beni ölüler diyarına terk etmezsin, Sadık kulunun çürümesine izin vermezsin[2]. 11 Yaşam yolunu bana bildirirsin. Bol sevinç vardır senin huzurunda, Sağ elinden mutluluk eksilmez.

1 A Miktam[1] of David. Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. (Mez 11:1; Mez 56:1; Mez 57:1; Mez 60:1) 2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” (Mez 73:25) 3 As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.[2] (Çık 19:6; Yas 7:6; 1 Pe 2:9) 4 The sorrows of those who run after[3] another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names on my lips. (Çık 23:13; Yşu 23:7) 5 The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.
