Schlachter 2000

1 Und in Antiochia waren in der dortigen Gemeinde einige Propheten und Lehrer, nämlich Barnabas und Simeon, genannt Niger, und Lucius von Kyrene und Manahen, der mit dem Vierfürsten Herodes erzogen worden war, und Saulus. (Mt 14,1; Apg 11,19; Apg 11,20; Apg 12,25; Röm 16,21; 1Kor 12,28; Eph 4,11) 

2 Als sie nun dem Herrn dienten und fasteten, sprach der Heilige Geist: Sondert mir Barnabas und Saulus aus zu dem Werk, zu dem ich sie berufen habe! (1Tim 1,12; 1Tim 2,7) 

3 Da fasteten und beteten sie, legten ihnen die Hände auf und ließen sie ziehen. (Pred 4,9; Apg 14,23; Apg 14,26) 

Barnabas und Saulus verkündigen das Evangelium auf Zypern

4 Diese nun, ausgesandt vom Heiligen Geist, zogen hinab nach Seleucia und fuhren von dort mit dem Schiff nach Zypern. (Apg 8,29; Apg 11,19; Apg 13,2) 

5 Und als sie in Salamis angekommen waren, verkündigten sie das Wort Gottes in den Synagogen der Juden. Sie hatten aber auch Johannes als Diener. (Pred 4,12; Apg 12,25; Apg 17,1; Röm 1,16) 

6 Und als sie die Insel bis nach Paphos durchzogen hatten, trafen sie einen Zauberer und falschen Propheten an, einen Juden namens Bar-Jesus, (Apg 8,9) 

7 der sich bei dem Statthalter Sergius Paulus aufhielt, einem verständigen Mann. Dieser ließ Barnabas und Saulus holen und wünschte das Wort Gottes zu hören. (Jer 29,13; Joh 12,21; 1Thess 5,21) 

8 Doch Elymas, der Zauberer (denn so wird sein Name übersetzt), leistete ihnen Widerstand und suchte den Statthalter vom Glauben abzuhalten. (Röm 2,17; 2Tim 3,8) 

9 Saulus aber, der auch Paulus heißt, voll Heiligen Geistes, blickte ihn fest an 

10 und sprach: O du Sohn des Teufels, voll von aller List und aller Bosheit, du Feind aller Gerechtigkeit, wirst du nicht aufhören, die geraden Wege des Herrn zu verkehren? (Mt 23,13; Joh 8,44; Apg 19,9; Tit 1,10) 

11 Und nun siehe, die Hand des Herrn kommt über dich, und du wirst eine Zeit lang blind sein und die Sonne nicht sehen! Augenblicklich aber fiel Dunkel und Finsternis auf ihn, und er tappte umher und suchte Leute, die ihn führen könnten. (2Kön 6,18; Jes 6,10; Joh 9,39; Röm 11,25; 2Kor 3,14; 1Tim 1,20) 

12 Als nun der Statthalter sah, was geschehen war, wurde er gläubig, betroffen von der Lehre des Herrn. (Apg 19,17) 

13 Paulus und seine Gefährten aber fuhren von Paphos ab und kamen nach Perge in Pamphylien; Johannes trennte sich jedoch von ihnen und kehrte nach Jerusalem zurück. (Apg 14,25; Apg 15,37) 

Die Verkündigung des Paulus vor den Juden von Antiochia in Pisidien

14 Sie aber zogen von Perge weiter und kamen nach Antiochia in Pisidien und gingen am Sabbattag in die Synagoge und setzten sich. (Apg 13,5; Apg 18,4) 

15 Und nach der Vorlesung des Gesetzes und der Propheten ließen die Obersten der Synagoge ihnen sagen: Ihr Männer und Brüder, wenn ihr ein Wort der Ermahnung an das Volk habt, so redet! (Apg 13,27; Apg 15,21) 

16 Da stand Paulus auf und gab ein Zeichen mit der Hand und sprach: Ihr israelitischen Männer, und die ihr Gott fürchtet, hört zu! (Apg 13,26; Apg 16,14) 

17 Der Gott dieses Volkes Israel erwählte unsere Väter und erhöhte das Volk, als sie Fremdlinge waren im Land Ägypten; und mit erhobenem Arm führte er sie von dort heraus. (5Mo 4,34; 5Mo 4,37; 5Mo 7,6; 5Mo 7,8; Ps 33,12) 

18 Und er ertrug ihre Art etwa 40 Jahre lang in der Wüste; (Jes 1,2) 

19 und er vertilgte sieben Heidenvölker im Land Kanaan und teilte unter sie deren Land nach dem Los. (5Mo 7,1) 

20 Und danach, während etwa 450 Jahren, gab er ihnen Richter bis zu Samuel, dem Propheten. (Ri 2,16) 

21 Und von da an begehrten sie einen König, und Gott gab ihnen Saul, den Sohn des Kis, einen Mann aus dem Stamm Benjamin, 40 Jahre lang. (1Sam 8,5; 1Sam 10,20) 

22 Und nachdem er ihn abgesetzt hatte, erweckte er ihnen David zum König, von dem er auch Zeugnis gab und sprach: »Ich habe David gefunden, den Sohn des Isai, einen Mann nach meinem Herzen, der allen meinen Willen tun wird«. (1Sam 13,14; 1Sam 15,22; 1Chr 10,14; Ps 40,9; Ps 89,21; Röm 13,14) 

23 Von dessen Samen hat nun Gott nach der Verheißung für Israel Jesus als Retter erweckt, (Ps 132,11; Mt 1,1; Mt 1,21) 

24 nachdem Johannes vor seinem Auftreten dem ganzen Volk Israel eine Taufe der Buße verkündigt hatte. (Mt 3,1) 

25 Als aber Johannes seinen Lauf vollendete, sprach er: Wer meint ihr, dass ich sei? Ich bin es nicht; doch siehe, es kommt einer nach mir, für den ich nicht gut genug bin, die Schuhe von seinen Füßen zu lösen! (Lk 3,16; Joh 1,20; Joh 1,27) 

26 Ihr Männer und Brüder, Söhne des Geschlechtes Abrahams, und die unter euch, die Gott fürchten, zu euch ist dieses Wort des Heils gesandt. (Mt 10,6; Apg 3,25) 

27 Denn die, welche in Jerusalem wohnen, und ihre Obersten haben diesen nicht erkannt und haben die Stimmen der Propheten, die an jedem Sabbat gelesen werden, durch ihren Urteilsspruch erfüllt. (Lk 24,20; Lk 24,44; 1Kor 2,8) 

28 Und obgleich sie keine Todesschuld fanden, verlangten sie doch von Pilatus, dass er hingerichtet werde. (Mt 27,23) 

29 Und nachdem sie alles vollendet hatten, was von ihm geschrieben steht, nahmen sie ihn vom Holz herab und legten ihn in ein Grab. (Jes 53,9; Joh 19,30; Joh 19,38) 

30 Gott aber hat ihn aus den Toten auferweckt. (Röm 4,25) 

31 Und er ist mehrere Tage hindurch denen erschienen, die mit ihm aus Galiläa nach Jerusalem hinaufgezogen waren, welche seine Zeugen sind vor dem Volk. (Apg 1,3; Apg 1,8; Apg 10,40) 

32 Und wir verkündigen euch das Evangelium, dass Gott die den Vätern zuteilgewordene Verheißung an uns, ihren Kindern, erfüllt hat, indem er Jesus erweckte, (Jes 61,1; Lk 1,54; Lk 1,68; Apg 13,38; Röm 1,4; Röm 4,13; Gal 3,16; Hebr 11,39) 

33 wie auch im zweiten Psalm geschrieben steht: »Du bist mein Sohn, heute habe ich dich gezeugt«. (Ps 2,7; Hebr 1,5; Hebr 5,5) 

34 Dass er ihn aber aus den Toten auferweckte, sodass er nicht mehr zur Verwesung zurückkehren sollte, hat er so ausgesprochen: »Ich will euch die heiligen [Gnaden-]Güter Davids geben, die zuverlässig sind«. (Ps 89,29; Ps 89,34; Jes 55,3) 

35 Darum spricht er auch an einer anderen Stelle: »Du wirst nicht zulassen, dass dein Heiliger die Verwesung sieht«. (Ps 16,10) 

36 Denn David ist entschlafen, nachdem er seinem Geschlecht nach dem Willen Gottes gedient hat; und er ist zu seinen Vätern versammelt worden und hat die Verwesung gesehen. (1Kön 15,4; Joh 17,4; Apg 2,29; Apg 13,22) 

37 Der aber, den Gott auferweckte, hat die Verwesung nicht gesehen. (Apg 2,24) 

38 So sollt ihr nun wissen, ihr Männer und Brüder, dass euch durch diesen Vergebung der Sünden verkündigt wird; (Lk 24,47; Apg 10,43; Eph 1,7; 1Joh 2,12) 

39 und von allem, wovon ihr durch das Gesetz Moses nicht gerechtfertigt werden konntet, wird durch diesen jeder gerechtfertigt, der glaubt. (Hab 2,4; Röm 3,19; Röm 8,3; Gal 2,16) 

40 So habt nun acht, dass nicht über euch kommt, was in den Propheten gesagt ist: 

41 »Seht, ihr Verächter, und verwundert euch und werdet zunichte, denn ich tue ein Werk in euren Tagen, ein Werk, dem ihr nicht glauben würdet, wenn es euch jemand erzählte!« (Hab 1,5; Lk 19,42; Lk 21,20) 

Die Juden widerstehen dem Evangelium – die Heiden nehmen es an

42 Als aber die Juden aus der Synagoge gegangen waren, baten die Heiden darum, dass ihnen diese Worte [auch] am nächsten Sabbat verkündigt würden. 

43 Nachdem aber die Synagogenversammlung sich aufgelöst hatte, folgten viele Juden und gottesfürchtige Proselyten dem Paulus und Barnabas nach, die zu ihnen redeten und sie ermahnten, bei der Gnade Gottes zu bleiben. (Apg 11,23; 2Tim 2,1; Hebr 6,11; 2Petr 3,18) 

44 Am folgenden Sabbat aber versammelte sich fast die ganze Stadt, um das Wort Gottes zu hören. (Jes 11,10; Apg 13,42) 

45 Als die Juden jedoch die Volksmenge sahen, wurden sie voll Eifersucht und widersetzten sich dem, was Paulus sagte, indem sie widersprachen und lästerten. (Apg 17,5; Apg 18,6) 

46 Da sagten Paulus und Barnabas freimütig: Euch musste das Wort Gottes zuerst verkündigt werden; da ihr es aber von euch stoßt und euch selbst des ewigen Lebens nicht würdig achtet, siehe, so wenden wir uns zu den Heiden. (Mt 21,43; Mt 22,8; Apg 3,26; Apg 28,28; Röm 10,19) 

47 Denn so hat uns der Herr geboten: »Ich habe dich zum Licht für die Heiden gesetzt, damit du zum Heil seist bis an das Ende der Erde!« (Ps 22,28; Jes 49,6; Mt 28,19; Mk 16,15) 

48 Als die Heiden das hörten, wurden sie froh und priesen das Wort des Herrn, und es wurden alle die gläubig, die zum ewigen Leben bestimmt waren. (Apg 2,47; Röm 8,30; Eph 1,4; 2Thess 2,13) 

49 Das Wort des Herrn aber wurde durch das ganze Land getragen. (Apg 12,24; 2Thess 3,1) 

50 Aber die Juden reizten die gottesfürchtigen Frauen und die Angesehenen und die Vornehmsten der Stadt auf, und sie erregten eine Verfolgung gegen Paulus und Barnabas und vertrieben sie aus ihrem Gebiet. (Apg 13,45; 2Tim 3,11) 

51 Da schüttelten diese den Staub von ihren Füßen gegen sie und gingen nach Ikonium. (Mk 6,11) 

52 Die Jünger aber wurden voll Freude und Heiligen Geistes. (Apg 8,39; Röm 15,13; 1Thess 1,6; 1Petr 4,13)

1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 

2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 

3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. 

4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus. 

5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister. 

6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus: 

7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. 

8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. 

9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, 

10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? 

11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. 

12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord. 

13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem. 

14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. 

15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on. 

16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience. 

17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it. 

18 And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness. 

19 And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot. 

20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet. 

21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. 

22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. 

23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: 

24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. 

25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose. 

26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent. 

27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him. 

28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain. 

29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre. 

30 But God raised him from the dead: 

31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people. 

32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, 

33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. 

34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David. 

35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 

36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: 

37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. 

38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: 

39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. 

40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; 

41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you. 

42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. 

43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. 

44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. 

45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. 

46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. 

47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. 

48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. 

49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region. 

50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts. 

51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium. 

52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.
