Jeremias Ehelosigkeit als Hinweis auf die kommende Not
1Und das Wort des HERRN erging an mich folgendermaßen: (Jer 1,2; Jer 1,4; Jer 2,1)2Du sollst dir keine Frau nehmen und weder Söhne noch Töchter haben an diesem Ort! (1Mo 19,14; Lk 23,29; 1Kor 7,26)3Denn so spricht der HERR von den Söhnen und Töchtern, die an diesem Ort geboren werden, und von ihren Müttern, die sie geboren haben, und von ihren Vätern, die sie in diesem Land gezeugt haben: (Jer 6,21)4Sie sollen an tödlichen Krankheiten sterben; niemand wird sie beklagen noch begraben, sondern sie sollen zum Dünger auf dem Erdboden werden; sie sollen durch Schwert und Hunger umkommen, und ihre Leichname sollen eine Speise der Vögel des Himmels und der Tiere des Feldes werden! (5Mo 28,22; Jer 7,33; Jer 8,2; Jer 14,16; Jer 15,2; Jer 22,18; Jer 25,33)5Ja, so hat der HERR gesprochen: Du sollst in kein Trauerhaus gehen und zu keiner Totenklage und sollst ihnen auch kein Beileid bezeugen; denn ich habe meinen Frieden von diesem Volk weggenommen, spricht der HERR, die Gnade und das Erbarmen. (Jes 27,11; Jes 48,22; Jes 57,21; Jer 13,14; Hes 24,17)6Große und Kleine sollen sterben in diesem Land und nicht begraben werden, und niemand wird sie beklagen; niemand wird sich um ihretwillen Einschnitte machen noch sich kahl scheren lassen. (Jer 16,4; Jer 22,18; Jer 41,5; Jer 47,5; Jer 48,37)7Und man wird ihnen kein Trauerbrot brechen, um sie zu trösten wegen eines Verstorbenen; man wird ihnen auch den Trostbecher nicht reichen wegen ihres Vaters oder ihrer Mutter. (Spr 31,6; Hes 24,17; Hos 9,4)8Du sollst auch nicht in ein Haus des Festgelages gehen, um bei ihnen zu sitzen und mit ihnen zu essen und zu trinken. (Ps 26,5; Pred 7,2; Jer 15,17; Mt 24,38; 1Kor 5,11)9Denn so hat der HERR der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels, gesprochen: Siehe, ich will an diesem Ort, vor euren Augen und in euren Tagen, die Stimme der Freude und die Stimme der Wonne zum Schweigen bringen, die Stimme des Bräutigams und die Stimme der Braut! (Jes 24,8; Jer 7,34; Jer 25,10; Kla 5,14)10Und es wird geschehen, wenn du diesem Volk alle diese Worte verkündigen wirst, so werden sie zu dir sagen: »Warum hat der HERR all dieses große Unheil über uns ausgesprochen? Was für eine Missetat und was für eine Sünde haben wir gegen den HERRN, unseren Gott, begangen?« (Jer 2,23; Jer 2,34; Jer 5,19)11Dann sollst du ihnen antworten: Darum, weil mich eure Väter verlassen haben, spricht der HERR, und fremden Göttern nachgefolgt sind und ihnen gedient und sie angebetet haben; mich aber haben sie verlassen und mein Gesetz nicht gehalten! (Ri 2,11; Neh 9,26; Jer 22,9; Dan 9,10; 1Petr 4,3)12Und ihr habt die Bosheit eurer Väter übertroffen; denn siehe, jeder von euch folgt dem Starrsinn seines bösen Herzens und ist mir nicht gehorsam. (Pred 9,3; Jer 7,25; Jer 13,10; Jer 17,9; Mk 7,21; 2Tim 3,13; Hebr 3,12)13Darum will ich euch aus diesem Land wegschleudern in ein Land, das euch und euren Vätern unbekannt war, und dort sollt ihr den fremden Göttern dienen Tag und Nacht, weil ich euch keine Gnade erweisen werde! (Jer 9,15; Jer 15,14; Jer 16,5)
Die künftige Wiederherstellung Israels wird verheißen
14Doch siehe, es kommen Tage, spricht der HERR, da man nicht mehr sagen wird: »So wahr der HERR lebt, der die Kinder Israels aus dem Land Ägypten heraufgeführt hat!«, (2Mo 20,2; 5Mo 15,15; Jer 23,7; Mi 6,4)15sondern: »So wahr der HERR lebt, der die Kinder Israels heraufgeführt hat aus dem Land des Nordens und aus allen Ländern, wohin er sie verstoßen hatte!« Denn ich will sie wieder in ihr Land zurückbringen, das ich ihren Vätern gegeben habe. (Jes 14,1; Jer 3,18; Jer 23,8; Jer 30,3; Jer 31,8; Jer 32,37; Am 9,14)16Siehe, ich will viele Fischer senden, spricht der HERR, die sie fischen sollen; danach will ich viele Jäger senden, die sie jagen sollen von allen Bergen und von allen Hügeln und aus den Felsenklüften. (2Kön 24,2; Jer 4,29; Kla 4,19; Am 4,2; Hab 1,15)17Denn meine Augen sind auf alle ihre Wege gerichtet; sie sind nicht verborgen vor meinem Angesicht, und ihre Schuld ist nicht verhüllt vor meinen Augen. (Hi 34,22; Spr 5,21; Jer 17,10; Jer 32,19; Hebr 4,13)18Darum will ich vorher ihre Schuld und Sünde zweifach vergelten, weil sie mein Land mit dem Aas ihrer schändlichen Götzen entweiht und mein Erbteil mit ihren Gräueln erfüllt haben. (2Mo 22,9; 3Mo 26,30; Jes 40,2; Jer 2,13; Jer 17,18)19O HERR, du meine Stärke, meine Burg und meine Zuflucht am Tag der Not! Zu dir werden die Heidenvölker kommen von den Enden der Erde und sagen: Nur Betrug haben unsere Väter ererbt, nichtige Götzen, von denen keiner helfen kann! (Ps 18,3; Ps 65,3; Ps 91,1; Jes 2,2; Jes 49,6; Jer 10,3; Jer 14,8; Jer 17,17; Sach 8,20)20Wie kann ein Mensch sich selbst Götter machen? Das sind ja gar keine Götter! (2Kön 19,18; Jer 2,11; Gal 4,8)21Darum siehe, ich werde es sie diesmal wissen lassen, werde sie meine Hand und meine Macht erkennen lassen, und sie sollen erfahren, dass mein Name HERR ist! 1Then the word of the Lord came to me:2‘You must not marry and have sons or daughters in this place.’3For this is what the Lord says about the sons and daughters born in this land and about the women who are their mothers and the men who are their fathers:4‘They will die of deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried but will be like dung lying on the ground. They will perish by sword and famine, and their dead bodies will become food for the birds and the wild animals.’5For this is what the Lord says: ‘Do not enter a house where there is a funeral meal; do not go to mourn or show sympathy, because I have withdrawn my blessing, my love and my pity from this people,’ declares the Lord.6‘Both high and low will die in this land. They will not be buried or mourned, and no-one will cut themselves or shave their head for the dead.7No-one will offer food to comfort those who mourn for the dead – not even for a father or a mother – nor will anyone give them a drink to console them.8‘And do not enter a house where there is feasting and sit down to eat and drink.9For this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Before your eyes and in your days I will bring an end to the sounds of joy and gladness and to the voices of bride and bridegroom in this place.10‘When you tell these people all this and they ask you, “Why has the Lord decreed such a great disaster against us? What wrong have we done? What sin have we committed against the Lord our God?”11then say to them, “It is because your ancestors forsook me,” declares the Lord, “and followed other gods and served and worshipped them. They forsook me and did not keep my law.12But you have behaved more wickedly than your ancestors. See how all of you are following the stubbornness of your evil hearts instead of obeying me.13So I will throw you out of this land into a land neither you nor your ancestors have known, and there you will serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favour.”14‘However, the days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when it will no longer be said, “As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,”15but it will be said, “As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.” For I will restore them to the land I gave to their ancestors.16‘But now I will send for many fishermen,’ declares the Lord, ‘and they will catch them. After that I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down on every mountain and hill and from the crevices of the rocks.17My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from me, nor is their sin concealed from my eyes.18I will repay them double for their wickedness and their sin, because they have defiled my land with the lifeless forms of their vile images and have filled my inheritance with their detestable idols.’19Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, ‘Our ancestors possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good.20Do people make their own gods? Yes, but they are not gods!’21‘Therefore I will teach them – this time I will teach them my power and might. Then they will know that my name is the Lord.
