1Und er rief mir mit lauter Stimme in die Ohren und sprach: Kommt herbei, ihr Aufseher über die Stadt! Jeder nehme seine Zerstörungswaffe in die Hand! (Jer 48,2; Hes 33,30; Hes 33,33; Joe 1,15; Offb 6,1; Offb 6,3; Offb 6,5; Offb 6,7)2Und siehe, da kamen sechs Männer auf dem Weg vom oberen Tor her, das nach Norden schaut, und jeder hatte seine Waffe zum Zerschlagen in der Hand; in ihrer Mitte aber war ein Mann, der trug ein leinenes Gewand und hatte ein Schreibzeug an seiner Hüfte; diese gingen hinein und stellten sich neben den ehernen Altar. (Jes 54,16; Jer 4,6; Hes 8,3; Hes 8,5; Hes 9,3; Hes 10,2; Hes 10,6; Offb 15,6)3Da erhob sich die Herrlichkeit des Gottes Israels von dem Cherub, über dem sie gewesen war, hin zur Schwelle des Hauses; und er rief dem Mann zu, der das leinene Gewand trug und das Schreibzeug an der Hüfte hatte. (Hes 3,23; Hes 10,4; Hes 11,22; Hes 43,2)4Und der HERR sprach zu ihm: Geh mitten durch die Stadt, mitten durch Jerusalem und mache ein Zeichen auf die Stirn der Leute, die seufzen und jammern über all die Gräuel, die in ihrer Mitte verübt werden! (2Mo 12,13; Ps 119,136; Ps 119,158; Spr 29,2; Hes 9,6; Hes 21,11; Mal 3,16; 2Kor 1,22; 2Petr 2,7; Offb 7,2)5Zu den anderen aber sprach er vor meinen Ohren: Geht hinter ihm her durch die Stadt und erwürgt; euer Auge soll nicht verschonen, und ihr dürft euch nicht erbarmen. (2Mo 32,27; 4Mo 25,5; 1Kön 18,40; Hes 5,11; Hes 9,10)6Tötet, vernichtet Greise, junge Männer und Jungfrauen, Kinder und Frauen! Von denen aber, die das Zeichen tragen, rührt niemand an! Und bei meinem Heiligtum sollt ihr anfangen! Da fingen sie bei den Ältesten an, die vor dem Tempel waren. (Jer 25,29; Hes 8,11; Hes 8,16; Hes 9,4; 1Petr 4,17)7Und er sprach zu ihnen: Verunreinigt das Haus und füllt die Vorhöfe mit Erschlagenen! Geht hinaus! Da gingen sie hinaus und erwürgten in der Stadt. (Kla 2,4; Kla 2,20; Hes 7,20)8Und es geschah, als sie so würgten und [nur] ich noch übrig war, da fiel ich auf mein Angesicht, schrie und sprach: Ach, Herr, HERR, willst du in deinem Zorn, den du über Jerusalem ausgießt, den ganzen Überrest von Israel umbringen? (4Mo 16,4; 1Chr 21,16; Jer 12,17; Jer 14,9; Hes 1,28; Hes 11,13)9Da antwortete er mir: Die Sünde des Hauses Israel und Juda ist überaus groß! Das Land ist voll Blut und die Stadt voll Unrecht; denn sie sagen: »Der HERR hat das Land verlassen!« und »Der HERR sieht es nicht!« (2Kön 24,4; 2Chr 36,16; Ps 10,11; Jes 1,4; Jes 59,3; Jer 5,1; Hes 7,23; Hes 8,12)10So soll auch mein Auge sie nicht verschonen, und ich will mich nicht erbarmen, sondern ihren Wandel will ich auf ihren Kopf bringen! (Hes 5,11; Hes 7,3; Hes 8,18; Hes 11,21; Ob 1,15)11Und siehe, der Mann, der das leinene Gewand trug und das Schreibzeug an seiner Hüfte hatte, brachte eine Meldung und sprach: Ich habe getan, wie du mir befohlen hast! 1Then he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, “Bring near the executioners of the city, each with his destroying weapon in his hand.” (Hes 43,3)2And behold, six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with his weapon for slaughter in his hand, and with them was a man clothed in linen, with a writing case at his waist. And they went in and stood beside the bronze altar. Go out.” So they went out and struck in the city. (Hes 7,21)8And while they were striking, and I was left alone, I fell upon my face, and cried, “Ah, Lord God! Will you destroy all the remnant of Israel in the outpouring of your wrath on Jerusalem?” (4Mo 14,5; Hes 4,14; Hes 7,8; Hes 11,13)9Then he said to me, “The guilt of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great. The land is full of blood, and the city full of injustice. For they say, ‘The Lord has forsaken the land, and the Lord does not see.’ (2Chr 36,14; Hes 7,23; Hes 8,12)10As for me, my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity; I will bring their deeds upon their heads.” (Hes 5,11; Hes 7,4)11And behold, the man clothed in linen, with the writing case at his waist, brought back word, saying, “I have done as you commanded me.” (Hes 10,2; Hes 10,6; Dan 10,5; Dan 12,6)
