Gräuel und Götzendienst im Heiligtum Gottes

1 Und es geschah im sechsten Jahr, am fünften Tag des sechsten Monats, als ich in meinem Haus saß, und die Ältesten Judas saßen vor mir; da fiel dort die Hand GOTTES, des Herrn, auf mich. (Hes 1,2; Hes 1,3; Hes 14,1; Hes 20,1; Hes 37,1)

2 Und ich schaute, und siehe, eine Gestalt, die aussah wie Feuer; von seinen Lenden abwärts war er anzusehen wie Feuer, von seinen Lenden aufwärts aber war er anzusehen wie ein Lichtglanz, gleich dem Anblick von Goldschimmer. (Hes 1,26; Dan 7,9; Dan 10,5; Offb 1,13)

3 Und er streckte etwas wie eine Hand aus und ergriff mich bei dem Haar meines Hauptes, und der Geist hob mich empor zwischen Himmel und Erde und brachte mich in Gesichten Gottes nach Jerusalem, an den Eingang des inneren Tores, das nach Norden schaut, wo ein Götzenbild der Eifersucht, das die Eifersucht [Gottes] erregt, seinen Standort hatte. 5 Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, hebe doch deine Augen auf nach Norden! Und ich hob meine Augen auf nach Norden, und siehe, da war nördlich vom Altartor dieses Götzenbild der Eifersucht, beim Eingang. (1Mo 13,14; Jer 3,2; Sach 5,5; Sach 5,9; Sach 6,1)

6 Da sprach er zu mir: Menschensohn, siehst du, was diese tun? Die großen Gräuel, welche das Haus Israel hier begeht, sodass ich mich von meinem Heiligtum entfernen muss? Aber du wirst noch mehr große Gräuel sehen! (Ps 78,60; Jer 32,34; Hes 8,9; Hes 8,13; Hes 8,15; Hes 10,18; Hes 11,23; Hes 20,8)

9 Und er sprach zu mir: Geh hinein und sieh die schlimmen Gräuel, die sie hier verüben! (Hes 8,6) 10 Da ging ich hinein und schaute, und siehe, da waren allerlei Bildnisse von Gewürm und gräulichem Getier, auch allerlei Götzen des Hauses Israel ringsum an die Wand gezeichnet. 12 Da sprach er zu mir: Menschensohn, hast du gesehen, was die Ältesten des Hauses Israel im Finstern tun, jeder in seinen Bilderkammern? Denn sie sagen: Der HERR sieht uns nicht; der HERR hat dieses Land verlassen! (Hi 22,13; Ps 73,11; Ps 94,7; Jes 29,15; Hes 8,9; Hes 9,9; Joh 3,19; Eph 5,11)

13 Danach sprach er zu mir: Du wirst noch mehr große Gräuel sehen, die sie begehen! (Hes 8,6; Hes 8,15; 2Tim 3,13) 14 Und er führte mich zu dem Eingang des Tores am Haus des HERRN, das gegen Norden liegt; und siehe, dort saßen Frauen, die den Tammuz^[1] beweinten. 17 Da sprach er zu mir: Hast du das gesehen, Menschensohn? Ist es dem Haus Juda zu wenig, die Gräuel zu tun, die sie hier verüben, dass sie auch das Land mit Frevel erfüllen und mich immer wieder zum Zorn reizen? Abominations in the Temple

1 In the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, with the elders of Judah sitting before me, the hand of the Lord God fell upon me there. (2Kön 6,32; Hes 1,2; Hes 1,3; Hes 8,11; Hes 14,1; Hes 20,1; Hes 20,3)

2 Then I looked, and behold, a form that had the appearance of a man.^[1] Below what appeared to be his waist was fire, and above his waist was something like the appearance of brightness, like gleaming metal.^[2] (Hes 1,4; Hes 1,27) 3 He put out the form of a hand and took me by a lock of my head, and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the gateway of the inner court that faces north, where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy. 4 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision that I saw in the valley. (Hes 1,28; Hes 3,22) 5 Then he said to me, “Son of man, lift up your eyes now toward the north.” So I lifted up my eyes toward the north, and behold, north of the altar gate, in the entrance, was this image of jealousy. (Hes 2,1; Hes 8,3; Hes 8,16) 6 And he said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel are committing here, to drive me far from my sanctuary? 17 Then he said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it too light a thing for the house of Judah to commit the abominations that they commit here, that they should fill the land with violence and provoke me still further to anger?
