3 Und sie versammelten sich gegen Mose und gegen Aaron und sprachen zu ihnen: Ihr beansprucht zu viel; denn die ganze Gemeinde, sie alle sind heilig, und der HERR ist in ihrer Mitte! 4 Als Mose dies hörte, warf er sich auf sein Angesicht; (Ps 37,5; 1Petr 5,6) 5 und er sprach zu Korah und zu seiner ganzen Rotte so: Morgen wird der HERR wissen lassen, wer ihm angehört und wer heilig ist, sodass er ihn zu sich nahen lässt. 6 So tut nun dies, Korah und seine ganze Rotte: Nehmt für euch Räucherpfannen (3Mo 10,1) 7 und tut morgen Feuer hinein und legt Räucherwerk darauf vor dem HERRN; und der Mann, den der HERR dann erwählt, der ist heilig. Ihr beansprucht zu viel, ihr Söhne Levis! (4Mo 16,3; 1Kön 18,17; Röm 9,16) 8 Und Mose sprach zu Korah: Hört doch, ihr Söhne Levis! 9 Ist es euch zu wenig, dass euch der Gott Israels aus der Gemeinde Israels ausgesondert hat, um euch zu sich nahen zu lassen, damit ihr den Dienst an der Wohnung des HERRN verseht und vor der Gemeinde steht, um ihr zu dienen? (4Mo 3,45; 4Mo 8,14; Jes 7,13) 10 Er hat dich und alle deine Brüder, die Söhne Levis, samt dir zu ihm nahen lassen, und ihr begehrt nun auch das Priestertum? 11 Fürwahr, du und deine ganze Rotte, ihr rottet euch gegen den HERRN zusammen! Und Aaron — wer ist er, dass ihr gegen ihn murrt? 13 Ist es nicht genug, dass du uns aus einem Land herausgeführt hast, in dem Milch und Honig fließt, um uns in der Wüste zu töten? Willst du dich auch noch zum Herrscher über uns aufwerfen? 16 Und Mose sprach zu Korah: Du und deine ganze Rotte, kommt morgen vor den HERRN, du und sie und Aaron. (4Mo 16,6; 1Sam 12,7) 17 Und jeder nehme seine Räucherpfanne und lege Räucherwerk darauf, und dann bringe jeder seine Räucherpfanne vor den HERRN; das sind 250 Räucherpfannen, auch du und Aaron, nehmt jeder seine Räucherpfanne mit! Das Gericht des Herrn über die Aufrührer

23 Da redete der HERR zu Mose und sprach: 24 Rede zu der Gemeinde und sprich: Entfernt euch ringsum von der Wohnung Korahs, Dathans und Abirams! (4Mo 16,21; Apg 2,40) 25 Da stand Mose auf und ging zu Dathan und Abiram, und die Ältesten Israels folgten ihm. 26 Und er redete zu der Gemeinde und sprach: Weicht doch von den Zelten dieser gottlosen Menschen und rührt nichts an von allem, was ihnen gehört, damit ihr nicht weggerafft werdet wegen aller ihrer Sünden! Korah’s Rebellion

2 And they rose up before Moses, with a number of the people of Israel, 250 chiefs of the congregation, chosen from the assembly, well-known men. 3 They assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron and said to them, “You have gone too far! For all in the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. 6 Do this: take censers, Korah and all his company; (3Mo 10,1) 7 put fire in them and put incense on them before the Lord tomorrow, and the man whom the Lord chooses shall be the holy one. And would you seek the priesthood also? 11 Therefore it is against the Lord that you and all your company have gathered together. 23 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “Say to the congregation, Get away from the dwelling of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.” 25 Then Moses rose and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him. 26 And he spoke to the congregation, saying, “Depart, please, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest you be swept away with all their sins.” (1Mo 19,12; Jes 52,11; 2Kor 6,17; Offb 18,4)

27 So they got away from the dwelling of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. And Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the door of their tents, together with their wives, their sons, and their little ones. Then scatter the fire far and wide, for they have become holy. 38 As for the censers of these men who have sinned at the cost of their lives, let them be made into hammered plates as a covering for the altar, for they offered them before the Lord, and they became holy. 39 So Eleazar the priest took the bronze censers, which those who were burned had offered, and they were hammered out as a covering for the altar, 40 to be a reminder to the people of Israel, so that no outsider, who is not of the descendants of Aaron, should draw near to burn incense before the Lord, lest he become like Korah and his company—as the Lord said to him through Moses. 47 So Aaron took it as Moses said and ran into the midst of the assembly. And behold, the plague had already begun among the people.
