(1Chr 2,42)17Und die Söhne Esras: Jeter und Mered und Epher und Jalon. Und sie wurde schwanger und gebar Mirjam und Schammai und Jischbach, den Vater von Eschtemoa. (Jos 15,50; Jos 21,14; 1Chr 4,19; 1Chr 6,42)18Und seine Frau, die Judäerin, gebar Jered, den Vater Gedors, und Heber, den Vater Sochos, und Jekutiel, den Vater Sanoachs. Und jene sind die Söhne der Bitja, der Tochter des Pharao, welche Mered zur Frau nahm. Und die Söhne Jischis: Sochet und Ben-Sochet.21Die Söhne Schelas, des Sohnes Judas, sind: Er, der Vater Lechas, und Lada, der Vater Mareschas, und die Geschlechter des Hauses der Baumwollweber vom Haus Aschbeas, (1Mo 38,5; Jos 15,44; Est 1,6; Hes 27,16)22und Jokim und die Männer von Koseba und Joas und Saraph, die über Moab herrschten, und Jaschubi-Lechem. Doch diese Ereignisse sind lange her. (2Sam 8,2)23Sie waren Töpfer und bewohnten Netaim und Gedera; sie wohnten dort bei dem König, in seinem Dienst. 24Die Söhne Simeons: Nemuel und Jamin, Jarib, Serach, Saul; (1Mo 46,10; 2Mo 6,15)25dessen Sohn war Schallum, dessen Sohn Mibsam, dessen Sohn Mischma.26Und die Söhne Mischmas: sein Sohn Hamuel, dessen Sohn Sakkur, dessen Sohn Simei.27Und Simei hatte 16 Söhne und sechs Töchter, aber seine Brüder hatten nicht viele Söhne, und keines ihrer Geschlechter mehrte sich wie die Söhne Judas. (1Mo 49,8; 4Mo 2,3; 4Mo 26,19)28Und sie wohnten in Beerscheba, Molada und Hazar-Schual, (Jos 15,28; Jos 19,2; Neh 11,26)29in Bilha, Ezem und Tolad, (Jos 19,4)30in Betuel, Horma und Ziklag, (Jos 19,4; 1Sam 27,6; 1Chr 12,1)31in Beth-Markabot, Hazar-Susim, Beth-Biri und Schaaraim. Das waren ihre Städte, bis David König wurde. Das waren ihre Wohnplätze, und sie hatten ihr Geschlechtsregister. (Jos 19,8)34Und Meschobab und Jamlek und Joscha, der Sohn Amazjas,35und Joel und Jehu, der Sohn Joschibjas, des Sohnes Serajas, des Sohnes Asiels,36und Eljoenai und Jaakoba und Jeschochaja und Asaja und Adiel und Jeschimiel und Benaja,37und Sisa, der Sohn Schiphis, des Sohnes Allons, des Sohnes Jedajas, des Sohnes Schimris, des Sohnes Schemajas:38diese mit Namen Angeführten waren Fürsten in ihren Geschlechtern, und ihre Vaterhäuser breiteten sich stark aus.39Und sie zogen bis nach Gedor hin, bis an die Ostseite des Tales, um Weide für ihre Schafe zu suchen. (1Mo 9,22; 1Mo 10,6; Ri 18,7; Ps 78,51; Ps 105,23)41Und so kamen die mit Namen Aufgeschriebenen zur Zeit Hiskias, des Königs von Juda, und vernichteten deren Zelte und die Meuniter, die dort gefunden wurden, und vollstreckten den Bann an ihnen bis zu diesem Tag und wohnten an ihrer Stelle. Denn dort gab es Weide für ihre Schafe. (4Mo 32,4; Ri 10,12; 2Kön 18,1; 2Chr 20,1; Hes 34,31)42Und ein Teil von ihnen, von den Söhnen Simeons, 500 Mann, zogen zum Bergland von Seir, an ihrer Spitze Pelatja und Nearja und Rephaja und Ussiel, die Söhne Jischis. (1Mo 36,8; 5Mo 1,2)43Und sie schlugen den Überrest der Entkommenen von Amalek und wohnten dort bis zu diesem Tag. (5Mo 25,17; 1Sam 15,8; 1Sam 30,16; 2Sam 8,12)

These were the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, the father of Bethlehem. These are the sons of Bithiah, the daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered married;[7] and she conceived and bore[8] Miriam, Shammai, and Ishbah, the father of Eshtemoa.18And his Judahite wife bore Jered the father of Gedor, Heber the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah. (1Chr 4,4)19The sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, were the fathers of Keilah the Garmite and Eshtemoa the Maacathite.20The sons of Shimon: Amnon, Rinnah, Ben-hanan, and Tilon. The sons of Ishi: Zoheth and Ben-zoheth.21The sons of Shelah the son of Judah: Er the father of Lecah, Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the clans of the house of linen workers at Beth-ashbea; (1Mo 38,1; 1Mo 38,5; 1Mo 46,12; 4Mo 26,20; 1Chr 2,3)22and Jokim, and the men of Cozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who ruled in Moab and returned to Lehem[9] (now the records[10] are ancient).23These were the potters who were inhabitants of Netaim and Gederah. They lived there in the king’s service.
Descendants of Simeon
24The sons of Simeon: Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul; (4Mo 26,12)25Shallum was his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.26The sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son.27Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brothers did not have many children, nor did all their clan multiply like the men of Judah. (4Mo 2,4; 4Mo 2,13; 4Mo 26,14; 4Mo 26,22; 1Chr 4,38)28They lived in Beersheba, Moladah, Hazar-shual, (Jos 19,2)29Bilhah, Ezem, Tolad, (Jos 19,3; Jos 19,4)30Bethuel, Hormah, Ziklag, (1Chr 4,29)31Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susim, Beth-biri, and Shaaraim. These were their cities until David reigned. (Jos 19,5)32And their villages were Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Tochen, and Ashan, five cities,33along with all their villages that were around these cities as far as Baal. These were their settlements, and they kept a genealogical record. (Jos 19,8)34Meshobab, Jamlech, Joshah the son of Amaziah,35Joel, Jehu the son of Joshibiah, son of Seraiah, son of Asiel,36Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah,37Ziza the son of Shiphi, son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah—38these mentioned by name were princes in their clans, and their fathers’ houses increased greatly. (1Chr 4,27)39They journeyed to the entrance of Gedor, to the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks, (1Chr 4,4; 1Chr 4,18)40where they found rich, good pasture, and the land was very broad, quiet, and peaceful, for the former inhabitants there belonged to Ham. (Ri 18,7; Ri 18,27)41These, registered by name, came in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah, and destroyed their tents and the Meunites who were found there, and marked them for destruction to this day, and settled in their place, because there was pasture there for their flocks. (1Chr 4,34; 1Chr 5,22)42And some of them, five hundred men of the Simeonites, went to Mount Seir, having as their leaders Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi. (1Mo 36,8)43And they defeated the remnant of the Amalekites who had escaped, and they have lived there to this day. (1Sam 15,8; 1Sam 30,17)
