(Kpł 19,35; Przyp 12,22; Przyp 16,11; Przyp 20,10; Przyp 20,23)2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom. (Przyp 16,18; Przyp 18,12; Przyp 29,23; Dn 4,30; Mi 6,8)3 The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them. (Przyp 13,6; Przyp 19,3)4 Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. (Rdz 7,1; Przyp 10,2; So 1,18)5 The righteousness of the blameless keeps his way straight, but the wicked falls by his own wickedness. (Przyp 3,6)6 The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the treacherous are taken captive by their lust. (Ps 7,15; Przyp 11,4)7 When the wicked dies, his hope will perish, and the expectation of wealth[1] perishes too. (Job 8,13; Przyp 10,28)8 The righteous is delivered from trouble, and the wicked walks into it instead. (Przyp 11,6; Przyp 21,18)9 With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered.10 When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, and when the wicked perish there are shouts of gladness. (Est 8,15; Przyp 28,12)11 By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is overthrown. (Ps 10,7; Przyp 14,1; Przyp 29,8)12 Whoever belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent. (Przyp 14,21; Mt 7,1)13 Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered. (Kpł 19,16; Przyp 20,19)14 Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety. (Przyp 15,22; Przyp 20,18; Przyp 24,6)15 Whoever puts up security for a stranger will surely suffer harm, but he who hates striking hands in pledge is secure. (Job 17,3; Przyp 6,1)16 A gracious woman gets honor, and violent men get riches. (Przyp 31,30; Łk 11,21)17 A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself. (Mt 5,7; Mt 25,34)18 The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward. (Oz 10,12; Ga 6,8; Jk 3,18)19 Whoever is steadfast in righteousness will live, but he who pursues evil will die. (Przyp 10,16; Przyp 19,23; Rz 6,23; Ga 6,8)20 Those of crooked heart are an abomination to the Lord, but those of blameless ways are his delight. (1 Krn 29,17; Ps 119,1; Przyp 12,22; Przyp 13,6; Przyp 16,5; Przyp 17,20)21 Be assured, an evil person will not go unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered. (Ps 37,2; Ps 37,9; Ps 112,2; Przyp 12,7; Przyp 16,5; Iz 28,15)22 Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman without discretion. (Rdz 24,47; Iz 3,21; Ez 16,12)23 The desire of the righteous ends only in good, the expectation of the wicked in wrath. (Rz 2,8)24 One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. (Ps 37,21; Ps 112,9; Przyp 13,7; Przyp 19,17)25 Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered. (Przyp 13,4; Przyp 28,25; Mt 7,2; 2 Kor 9,6)26 The people curse him who holds back grain, but a blessing is on the head of him who sells it. (Rdz 42,6; Job 29,13; Przyp 24,24)27 Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor,[2] but evil comes to him who searches for it. (Ps 7,16)28 Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf. (Ps 49,6; Ps 92,12; Jer 17,8)29 Whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.
