Canto di trionfo e di gloria

1 Al direttore del coro. Di Davide. Salmo. Canto. Si alzi Dio, e i suoi nemici saranno dispersi, e quelli che l’odiano fuggiranno davanti a lui^[1]. 2 Tu li dissolverai come si dissolve il fumo; come la cera si scioglie davanti al fuoco, così periranno gli empi davanti a Dio. 3 Ma i giusti si rallegreranno, trionferanno in presenza di Dio ed esulteranno di gioia. 4 Cantate a Dio, salmeggiate al suo nome, preparate la via a colui che cavalca attraverso i deserti; il suo nome è il Signore; esultate davanti a lui. 5 Dio è padre degli orfani e difensore delle vedove nella sua santa dimora; 6 a quelli che sono soli Dio dà una famiglia, libera i prigionieri e dà loro prosperità; solo i ribelli risiedono in terra arida. 7 O Dio, quando tu uscisti alla testa del tuo popolo, quando avanzasti attraverso il deserto, [Pausa] 8 la terra tremò; anche i cieli si sciolsero in pioggia davanti a Dio; lo stesso Sinai tremò davanti a Dio, al Dio d’Israele. 9 O Dio, tu mandasti una pioggia benefica sulla tua eredità esausta, per ristorarla. 10 Il tuo popolo abitò nel paese, benevolmente preparato da te, o Dio, per i miseri. 11 Il Signore dà un ordine: le messaggere di vittoria appaiono in grande schiera. 12 I re degli eserciti fuggono, fuggono, e quelle che stavano in casa si dividono il bottino. 13 Anche per voi, rimasti tranquilli fra gli ovili, si coprono d’argento le ali della colomba e d’oro le sue piume. 14 Quando l’Onnipotente disperse i re nel paese, il Salmon si coperse di neve. 15 Monti altissimi, monti di Basan, monti dalle cime numerose, monti di Basan, 16 perché, o monti dalle molte cime, guardate con invidia al monte che Dio ha scelto per sua dimora? Sì, il Signore vi abiterà per sempre. 17 I carri di Dio si contano a miriadi e miriadi, a migliaia di migliaia: il Signore viene dal Sinai nel santuario. 18 Tu sei salito in alto, portando prigionieri, hai ricevuto doni dagli uomini, anche dai ribelli, per far qui la tua dimora, o Signore, Dio. 19 Sia benedetto il Signore! Giorno per giorno porta per noi il nostro peso, il Dio della nostra salvezza. [Pausa] 20 Il nostro Dio è un Dio che libera; Dio, il Signore, ci preserva dalla morte. 21 Ma Dio schiaccerà il capo dei suoi nemici, la testa chiomata di chi vive nel peccato. 22 Il Signore ha detto: «Li farò tornare da Basan, li farò tornare dagli abissi del mare, 23 affinché tu affondi il piede nel sangue dei tuoi nemici, e la lingua dei tuoi cani ne abbia la sua parte». 24 Essi hanno visto il tuo corteo, o Dio, il corteo del mio Dio, del mio re, nel santuario. 25 Precedevano i cantori, dietro venivano i suonatori, in mezzo le fanciulle che battevano i tamburelli. 26 Benedite Dio nelle assemblee, benedite il Signore, voi che siete della stirpe d’Israele! 27 Ecco il giovane Beniamino, che guida gli altri, i prìncipi di Giuda e la loro schiera, i prìncipi di Zabulon, i prìncipi di Neftali. 28 Il tuo Dio ha decretato la tua potenza; conferma, o Dio, quanto hai fatto per noi! 29 Nel tuo tempio, che sovrasta Gerusalemme, i re ti porteranno doni. 30 Minaccia la bestia dei canneti^[2], il branco dei tori^[3] con i vitelli dei popoli^[4], che si prostrano portando verghe d’argento^[5]. Disperdi i popoli che amano la guerra. 31 Prìncipi verranno dall’Egitto, l’Etiopia si affretterà a tendere le mani verso Dio. 32 O regni della terra, cantate a Dio, salmeggiate al Signore, [Pausa] 33 a colui che cavalca sui cieli dei cieli eterni! Ecco, egli fa risuonare la sua voce, la sua voce potente. 34 Riconoscete la potenza di Dio; la sua maestà è sopra Israele, e la sua potenza è nei cieli. 35 O Dio, tu sei tremendo dal tuo santuario! Il Dio d’Israele dà forza e potenza al suo popolo. Benedetto sia Dio!

1 Ein Psalmlied Davids, vorzusingen. 2 Gott steht auf; so werden seine Feinde zerstreut, und die ihn hassen, fliehen vor ihm. (Nu 10,35) 3 Wie Rauch verweht, so verwehen sie; wie Wachs zerschmilzt vor dem Feuer, so kommen die Frevler um vor Gott. 4 Die Gerechten aber freuen sich / und sind fröhlich vor Gott und freuen sich von Herzen. 5 Singet Gott, lobsinget seinem Namen! / Macht Bahn dem, der auf den Wolken einherfährt; er heißt HERR. Freuet euch vor ihm! (Is 57,14) 6 Ein Vater der Waisen und ein Helfer der Witwen ist Gott in seiner heiligen Wohnung, (Sal 10,14) 7 ein Gott, der die Einsamen nach Hause bringt, / der die Gefangenen herausführt, dass es ihnen wohlgehe; aber die Abtrünnigen bleiben in dürrem Lande. 8 Gott, als du vor deinem Volk herzogst, als du einhergingst in der Wüste, – Sela – (Eso 13,21) 9 da bebte die Erde, / und die Himmel troffen vor Gott – am Sinai –, vor Gott, dem Gott Israels. (Eso 19,16) 10 Du gabst, Gott, Regen in Fülle, und dein Erbe, das dürre war, erquicktest du, 11 dass deine Tiere darin wohnen konnten. Gott, du labst die Elenden in deiner Güte. 12 Der Herr gibt ein Wort – der Freudenbotinnen ist eine große Schar –: (Is 52,7) 13 Die Könige der Heerscharen fliehen, sie fliehen, und die Frauen teilen die Beute aus. 14 Wollt ihr zwischen den Hürden lagern? / Die Flügel der Tauben sind überzogen mit Silber, und ihre Schwingen schimmern von Gold. (Giudic 5,16) 15 Als der Allmächtige dort Könige zerstreute, fiel Schnee auf dem Zalmon. 16 Ein Berg Gottes ist Baschans Gebirge, ein Gebirge, reich an Gipfeln, ist Baschans Gebirge. 17 Was seht ihr scheel, ihr Berge, ihr Gipfel, / auf den Berg, wo es Gott gefällt zu thronen? Ja, dort bleibt der HERR immerdar. (Sal 132,13) 18 Gottes Wagen sind vieltausendmal tausend; der Herr ist unter ihnen, der vom Sinai ist im Heiligtum. 19 Du bist aufgefahren zur Höhe und führtest Gefangne gefangen, du hast Gaben empfangen von Menschen – auch von Abtrünnigen –, auf dass Gott der HERR daselbst wohne. (Ef 4,8) 20 Gelobt sei der Herr täglich. Gott legt uns eine Last auf, aber er hilft uns auch^[1]. Sela. (1Co 10,13) 21 Wir haben einen Gott, der da hilft, und den HERRN, einen Herrn, der vom Tode errettet. 22 Ja, Gott wird den Kopf seiner Feinde zerschmettern, den Schädel derer, die da fortfahren in ihrer Sünde. 23 Der Herr hat gesagt: Aus Baschan will ich sie wieder holen, aus der Tiefe des Meeres will ich sie holen, 24 dass du deinen Fuß im Blut der Feinde badest und deine Hunde es lecken. 25 Man sieht, Gott, wie du einherziehst, wie du, mein Gott und König, einherziehst im Heiligtum. (2Sam 6,13; Sal 24,7) 26 Die Sänger gehen voran, danach die Spielleute inmitten der Mädchen, die da Pauken schlagen. (Eso 15,20) 27 »Lobet Gott in den Versammlungen, den HERRN, ihr vom Brunnen Israels.« (Is 48,1) 28 Benjamin, der Jüngste, geht ihnen voran, / dann die Fürsten Judas mit ihren Scharen, die Fürsten Sebulons, die Fürsten Naftalis. 29 Biete auf, Gott, deine Macht, die Macht, Gott, die du an uns bewiesen hast 30 von deinem Tempel her; um Jerusalems willen werden dir Könige Geschenke bringen. 33 Ihr Königreiche auf Erden, singet Gott, lobsinget dem Herrn! Sela. 34 Er fährt einher durch die Himmel, die von Anbeginn sind. Siehe, er lässt seine Stimme erschallen, eine gewaltige Stimme. 35 Gebt Gott die Macht! Seine Herrlichkeit ist über Israel und seine Macht in den Wolken. 36 Zu fürchten bist du, Gott, in deinem Heiligtum. / Er ist Israels Gott. Er wird dem Volk Macht und Kraft geben. Gelobt sei Gott!
